We had been going here for years. Platinum firestone card holder for at least three years now but well be taking our four cars for service some where else. We were just in over the weekend. We have a 04 GTO that has a tire cutting and we wanted to switch out to another set of tires that are just over 5 years old. We arent ready to buy new tires for this car yet and the extra set of tires we have, only have a few thousands miles on them. The manager said that they wouldnt put the old tires on because they were too old and that wed have to buy all new tires. Seems that this place cares more about making the most money then keeping long time customers. Called around to other places like Goodyear and they said that theyd put tires on that were 7 years old. Some other places said 10. Safe to say we wont be going back here.

Finally after 10 years of trying different mechanics in Lake Co. I feel comfortable again. Very impressed with the work, have had oil changes, brakes, Diff, Trans tuneups, and Tires done. It is a new facility with plenty of work bays and mechanics to get you in and out. I have a car, van, and truck that all need something done and for the moment I am satisfied enough with the quality and the price not to go elsewhere. If your tired of Jiffy Lube and Vovoline places always trying to sell you more than an oil change, go to Firestone, they always have some kind of offer to save money on. There is no reason not to give 5 stars, good service, fast, very polite people, and good price. MCM

Went there for the first time today. Made an appointment on line yesterday got an email with a confirmation number. Showed up for my appointment and was told that didnt mean I had an appointment it just meant they were looking for an appointment for me and I should be getting another email. It was already 12:30 which was when my appointment was supposed to be, so when was this second email coming and maybe they shouldnt put that the appointment was confirmed on the first email! So I said I dont have an appointment then? The work said no do you want to schedule one? Lol I said no and left. Will not be going back,

Initially recommended by Tire Rack as an installer, I have now been back about five times and always impressed with polite workers, everything just as stated and on time and they even put my old tires that I wanted to keep into plastic bags to keep my car cleaner. Very happy with the great, local service and will be back within a few weeks with another tire need. Highly recommended. Manager Mike was great.

The Weirdness factor

Bought tires from them and I took it out, the truck was shaking. Didnt have that with the old tires. I took it in and it was in the shop for 3 days and still isnt fixed. Never again will I go there for tire work, or anything for that matter. Ill give 2 stars because Mike was decent.the guys in the garage? Who knows.

I personally trust these guys on most things than the dealer. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Ive been surprised on many occasions that some of their services are way cheaper than near by shops. The McHenry Firestone will continue to be my cars doctor for the many years down the road.

Came In three times for an oil change and tire rotation. All three times was told it would be more than an hour wait... last time a 4 hour wait because they have one mechanic working with ten stalls for cars at 4 pm on a weekday. No thank you. Get some employees...

Took a bit longer than expected to get my tires on. However I am giving all 5 stars because the efforts were amazing. Stayed a bit after hours to make sure my car was finished. Would recommend them for your service needs.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE or any firestone, im done with these clowns..they put a new tire on a broken rim..not the firat time i have bad experience with them, dont know why i kept going back, NEVER AGAIN!!!

A bit of a wait, but good service. I bought a set of tires here last year, and they offer free lifetime rotation. No high pressure sales of extra services, just the facts and no charge.
