Got a delivery notice in the mail on a Tuesday that said my package would be ready to pick up at the post office Wednesday after 8:30am. Didnt make it in until Friday PM and was told sorry, it isnt here, we already sent it back (checked tracking - it was already in Des Moines, Iowa by Friday morning which means they sent it back immediately!!). When I asked the guy at the counter what to do he said "its not here anymore. Theres nothing I can do." Called USPS helpline who helped me intercept the package and reroute it back to the OP post office (which cost me >$12). They opened a case for me and Karen from the OP post office called and basically said she cant do anything more since we already went through the intercept process but admitted they screwed up! Went in today to pick it up and there was another $8 postage due! Tried explaining the situation to the woman at the counter who was telling me it was somehow my fault they screwed up (suggesting I hadnt forwarded my mail in enough time - then how have I gotten plenty of packages from USPS before this???) and ultimately said "so are you gonna pay or not?" I paid so I could get my package out of their incompetent hands.

I walked to the counter to purchase one stamp. The woman behind the counter was Vanassa. I pulled out a five dollar bill. Vanassa instantly became outraged and snapped she didnt have change for a five. I tried to explain that was all i had. She walked away angry shouting she doesnt have change for a five. At this point, a man next to me was going to give me fifty cents, while the woman behind me was going to give me change for a five. Vanassa had gone in the back and hadnt returned. The other man behind the counter promptly gave me a stamp without any incident. Vanassa had not returned. Vanassa was rude and very unprofessional. I appreciate the kindness of the two persons next to me who were willing to help. Vanassa is a miserable human being.* After this incident, i was informed that i was given erroneous intentional information by the clerk Bernice. Evidently, Bernice was trying to cover for a co-worker. The woman i complained about was named Teress. The name was not Vanassa. Vanassa was not even at that facility that day. My apologies to Vanassa. Bernice is a liar and Teress is unprofessional.

The worst customer service I have ever had! Mailman is totally incompetent. During the food drive each year, we put the food out by the mailbox. Three days went by without the mailman taking it! Then months later, a different mailman took something from my mailbox and the post office refused to take any responsibility. One of the clerks in the post office shorted me $10 nearly two years ago and my claim is still "pending." The post office hires the slowest moving individuals possible and there are never enough of them. Mail your packages at UPS or FedEx! Avoid here at all costs!

Lazy employees cant be bothered to stock shipping supplies for priority mail and then expect you to wait in line to find out of they even HAVE supplies. I honestly think only one person works there, and he had the nerve to yell... and I mean YELL at me that I needed to wait my turn when I politely asked if they had supplies. Im a nurse and I was on my lunch break. Even the people in line in front of me were wide eyed in shock

The Orland Park post office has lost multiple bills and packages resulting in late fees, arguments with billing agencies and major inconveniences. When I contacted the Orland Park office to report the losses and file a complaint, they responded with a nonchalant attitude and stated that there was nothing that they could do about any of the lost articles. Does anyone have a recommendation for further action that could be taken?

We have been dealing with this post office location for years when we forward our mail from one place to another when we are out of town and felt we needed to give a shout out to one of their great employees, Laurie. Laurie is in charge of the entire mail forward process. We have found her to be extremely customer service oriented and competent, and outright nice. Hopefully the USPS realizes what a gem you have in Laurie..

Do NOT use the post office. Theyre completely incompetent, rude, and slow. The latest of our problems was that they weighed our wedding invitations incorrectly - causing many to be returned and making us to purchase new envelopes and postage. They also refused to hand cancel the invitations out of laziness. Nobody there should have their job. Theres no question that they will screw up your mail.

The machines are from the late 80s. I tried paying with my card twice and it didnt work the worker said something about it freezing all the time. I had to pay cash for it. and 30 mins later my card gets charged twice and now am on hold for 40 mins and still going....i knew it was a mistake as soon as i walked in. Do not go there ever it will be your last.

The post office needs more employees. There are always only one or two on the counter, so theres room for one more. Also, I was going to give this feedback anonymously on the QR code service you had displayed in the office but it didnt work so you made me come here to make it public.

My package is lost at their unorganized facility. I went to the post office to get update, all of the staff is rude and can care less. Still no package and still no update. PLEASE DO NOT DO TO THAT FACILITY, it needs to be closed down.

Delivery people would rather do all they can to shove every piece of mail and packages into your mailbox instead of get out of the truck and walk it to the porch. I have had several things ruined because of it.

This post office sucks. Absolutely no customer service. Tried calling the 800 number was told I had to wait 45-60 minutes. We should go back to the pony express.
