My experienced didnt end very well...not so much with KW but with one of their realtor John C. It wasnt so much that his service was bad. It was more of lack of help. (H.I.T) Honesty, Integrity and trust was his moto. Im not so sure if i believe it. I can write long long story of this but i will get to the point why I gave this my honest review. The good for John. He was very helpful in having homes for me to look into and went out of his way to schedule some on his off day. He also refer to me a great lender so there were some good points. Now the bad. To me he seem more interested in the sale and not telling me info i should know. The biggest disappointment was since Im a new buyer and him being a realtor for around 30 years I would expect more from him and to be a good advisor. When I decided I wanted a home in Schaumburg. He came and brought the contract for me to sign. I was at work so my time was a bit limited in going over what I needed. I didnt always know what questions to ask...again it was my fault but as a (HIT) realtor I would expect him to fill me on the details that I would miss on. When I signed the papers for the deal. He never once told me that if i decided that I didnt want the home I have 5 days to decide after I sign the contract that I can bail and keep my earnest money. He later that day text me somebodys name but didnt indicate who it was( it turned out to be my lawyer after it was too late for me to get out of the contract). Lets fast forward through the red tape now. On the 4th day when I decided I was hesitant on the place because i wanted to know if the sellers would replaced the fused box. I told John to get an answer from them...I didnt hear any response back from him more so on Saturday if i can recalled. He told me on thurs and friday that he didnt hear anything back from the sellers...Im wondering now if that was really true? Anyway, when I finally spoke to him on Saturday he told me that he got great news that the sellers would replaced the fused box, by that time I already made my mind up that i didnt want the place. As it turns out Friday was my last day to get out of the contract. When i told John I didnt want the place he told me to call the persons name on the phone. I did and no answer until Sunday. I initially thought it was their realtor or lawyer. It turned out to be mine. He told me that I am binded by the contract since it went over the 5 days period and he would try to do something the next day. After some headaches of trying to get out of the contract and get my earnest money back. I decided to forfeit the 2000.00 i lost and move on. I consider it an expensive lesson. John C. later admitted to me that he did a terrible job misrepresenting me and would offer a 500 home insurance on my home purchased. I declined and decided not to work with him again. Again, Ive worked with a few agents since then and they would always tel their client before they signed that dotted line to either explained the details of what they are signing or get a lawyer. Most importantly they would tell them that they have 5 days to get out of a contract while keeping their earnest money if they decide they dont want the home.
