Staff are friendly and helpful. I have rented from this facility for the past 13 months or so and the facility is always clean. I love the location too, since its close to home and easily accessible off of McCormick. The only downside is that the company has raised my rental rates twice in the last 13 months. If I wasnt already planning to move out on August 1, I would definitely consider moving my stuff to another company that offers a lower rate. The most recent postcard I received telling me of my increase stated, "we find it necessary to make an adjustment to your rental rate in order to keep up with the rising costs associated with providing top-notch service and a clean, secure facility." Hmmm, the economy is bad--- why are costs going up?! I think that they know most people wont move their stuff out, so they are in essence "stuck" and forced to pay more. Other than that, I really like this place....much better than Public Storage, which I have used in the past.

We checked out a lot of storage spaces around us and this one was by far the cleanest and the one where we felt the safest. We rented one of the indoor, smaller, climate controlled units. There are elevators for the units above the ground floor and plenty of carts to help you wheel your stuff around. I have only dealt with one person in the office (Willy) and he was fantastic! Super friendly and willing to answer all my questions. The rate seemed pretty competitive...although I wish storage in general were a little cheaper. I was quoted one price on the phone and given that same price when I went in to sign up. If you do not pay your bill on time there are some pretty hefty late charges, so make sure your payment gets there on time.

What a great customer service experience. We used the storage space for a weekend event in Evanston and managed to leave a little of our trailer behind. Since we are 300 miles away, I figured that the missing piece was going to be missing forever. But, I called the office and Marty went out to the space, located the part, and said "no problem sir, well just send it to you". How cool! Thanks Marty. Now I can put my trailer back together and not have to spend hours & hours looking for replacement parts. Next time were in need of a storage space in the area, youve got our business. I couldnt give Marty and Maria at the Extra Space Location in Skokie, any higher praise and accolades. They are so extremely helpful, personable, and hard-working, and they genuinely care about the customer experience. I have had my unit at this property for about 10 years now (for work), and they have made it a truly great experience - professional and helpful through and through! Additionally, the property is always impeccably clean, which cant be easy for them, since they are always busy with renters. If you are thinking of renting a unit here, do it without any hesitation: you will get outstanding customers service, and have a terrific experience overall!!! A++!

I recently rented a storage unit at this facility and was very happy with everything. The facility was clean and I felt my stuff was safe. The price was the cheapest in the area and I was impressed with the staff from the very beginning. The manager was always curteous and helpful. Carts were always by the door when I came to drop things off of move things. I thought renting a unit would be a pain, but Extra Space Storage was phenomenal. They had the right size unit for all my stuff and the unit was even climate controlled. I used the unit for a year and even when moving out, the staff was great. In the future, I would definately use Extra Space Storage.

I have had to rent storage units many times throughout the years. This is by far the best experience I have had so far. The place is very clean, there are always carts, and the staff is exceptional. They know my name, they are always very courteous and helpful. And I always feel safe when I am there. I had to buzz the onsite manager once at 8:00 on a Sunday morning to get help with using the gate for the first time. Im sure I woke her up, but she was very friendly and walked me through it. The facility is clean and well lit. I would definitely recomment this place.

Marty is great and the facility is brand new and super clean with top of the line gates. Probably the best storage facility that I have ever seen. I could not have asked for a more decent guy to deal with. Very helpful. He even stayed an extra half an hour past his shift to help me get set up with a storage unit that I desperately needed since coming back into town from a road trip with a car full of possessions.....human compassion and empathy is in short supply these days and I appreciated Martys efforts for me that day (about 3 and a half weeks ago).

I have three spaces here for years. Denise has been the manager the whole time. She is professional and I trust her implicitly. The place is clean and bright. She is always working at keeping the facility in great shape and she is friendly and always crystal clear in explaining everything.. This winter has been tough but she keeps the place spotless. They have a good washroom with hot water and a drinking fountain. The office is clean and organized and they accept postal and UPS packages. I highly recommend this facility for your strorage needs.

I was looking for a temporary storage space; happen to walk in to the Extra Space Storage location in Skokie. The employee was very helpful in picking out the perfect storage space for my needs. In addition to being very friendly I received a free month and $50 visa gift card for sending my friend to one of their many locations. Even thou my rental was just temporary in the future I will be coming to Extra Space Storage for all my storage needs and send all my friends there for referral program

One word.Marty. I went in to purchase moving boxes and fell in love with the customer service that Marty provided. He went over and beyond with his services with answering questions about renting a storage space. Marty was a perfect gentleman and even helped me put the moving boxes in my car after he saw me having some trouble with stuffing them into my tiny car. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back this upcoming week to rent a storage unit.

This is my second storage space at this location, it is well lit, very clean, and secure. The manager, Denise, is veryr friendly and makes you feel comfortable renting a space, she is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns regarding rental prices and policies. If you are on the north side and need an affordable storage space, then this is the place to go. P.S. Dont forget to ask about the 1st months rent "Free"!!. Cant beat that!!
