Tried to get my car painted by Hayes Auto Body. I ended up going back 4 times because they couldnt get it right. There was dirt in the paint, the clear coat was to thick in spots and uneven. I have wrinkled paint and there are white marks all over the car where it wasnt buffed out properly. I finally stopped going back because each time they would make it worse. Now 2 years later I have a car with rust around the wheel wells, peeling paint around my gas cap and generally a terrible looking paint job. I have had several people ask if Maaco did the painting, not a professional shop? No, just shady Hayes Auto Body. $4,000 and now I have to have the whole car redone. PATHETIC!

The driver door of my 95 Jeep cherokee detached from the body of the car. I went and got a quote in Elgin, IL at a shop to have it welded back. They quoted me 700.00 without parts, and I had to leave the car there for at least 2 days. A friend of mine referred me to Hayes Auto Body, to my surprise, they did the job for 96.00 and it only took them 30 minutes to do it!. Would I refer them to a friend? You bet!

Its not the prettiest of shops; however, they are friendly and do decent work for the money. I used them twice; once to touch up my Pathfinder and once to buff out scratches on my BMW. They came through both times and even went above and beyond by replacing a few missing retainers on my mudguards, which had nothing to do with the work I was paying them to do.
