When Public Storage staff ask you to rate your experience online after your initial visit: read between the lines – if you don’t say positive things now, you will most definitely not have anything positive to say later. They know it, and they are trying to get your 5 stars feedback now. Notice that all 5 stars ratings are one-liners, they only mention how nice and friendly the person in the office was to answer all their questions at their 1st appointment. You will have to buy insurance for your stuff, there is no way around it – they will not allow a contract without insurance minimum $11 a month in addition to rent. Don’t splurge more than minimum required because insurance covers nothing, read it! Oh, wait, you will not have time to read it because that part of the sign up will not be mentioned until after you were shown the unit by “friendly” associate. Insurance talk will happen as a very last step before they charge your credit card, but after you’ve made your decision to rent. Tricky move, because at that point you just have to get going so you sign without reading your contract with Public Storage or terms of the insurance. The insurance will never cover your most valuable items, such as family heirlooms, photos, documents, jewelry, cash, etc. But you can’t skip it – that is just a trick to get more money from you every month in addition to the rent. Actually, I have not seen any feedback saying that insurance covered stolen or damaged item. What come to the rent amount: your introductory rate is only that – introductory rate. It will go up at their will. You may move out at your will when you get tired of rent going up rapidly, but you probably will not, because you will not want to deal with moving. If you transfer to another unit, you will not get their special introductory rate because that is only for their new customers. However, you will still qualify as a new customer if you move out for 7 days, then come back as new. After you make your first reservation online, they will be quick to call you with a very friendly reminder that you have to hurry before someone else rents the unit you like. They want you bad, I should say – they want your money. Once the contract is signed – you will not hear from them if you have problems. They won’t call you if your possessions are about to be sold at an auction. And you may keep calling and sending emails to property manager all your heart desires, they will go ghost. The employee in the office will be used as a human shield and will be telling you that the manager will call you back tomorrow. You will hear that every day for weeks until you just let it go, they are counting on it!

1. I am in the Active Military and rented while in military uniform. The manager violated the stated company policy on the Public Storage website and would not acknowledge my military ID card as proof of being in the military. So, they refused to provide the benefit, required by law, to not sell my goods if I was unable to be there on military duty. If I had been called away to duty elsewhere, all my possessions would have been sold. 1a. The customer service website was unable to understand this part of the "USERRA" law, which they are bound by, when I emailed them. They told me so in an email back to me. They said they needed more details, which I have provided. 2. After I gave notice and moved out the last week of March, I was still charged for April and received an invoice for May, 2017 as well. 3. The Automatic door on the ground floor was broken, and off its tracks for most of the winter months. 4. The doors on the second floor are heavy and have two doors opening and closing on top of each other. They close instantly without a way to latch them open, even for a minute, without placing something heavy in front of them. 5. They had some good points: The gate never failed, and they have a restroom that at least is open during business hours. Customers using the facility were very nice, and we took turns sharing the one cart they provided for the hundreds of units they host. The staff was friendly and passably polite. They just could not respond to any issue I had. Even though the staff at the office could not help me with my new credit card after the number/info for the credit card used to rent the unit was stolen, the phone customer service people, who are very good, were able to change the credit card over easily. 7. The office did not care to call me back while I was a tenant on any matter. 8. The unit had a leak and water was on the floor. My storage unit did not have a light in it. The building lacked a low ramp and had a step up instead, which jarred everything I brought in.

Thank you Hattie and Public Storage. As others have mentioned, Hattie is a GEM! She gave us the BEST customer service when we walked in on a Sunday, with out an advanced reservation. We were pretty sure which size we needed, but when Hattie showed us the units available, she gave us great advice on which one would be easier to load, etc... . Aditionally, when we were looking to purchase individial boxes, she saved us money (an employee / company who helps the customers retain their money is appreciated, very much) by directing us to the moving box kit, that actually was exactly what we needed. Thank you again Public Storage and Hattie. You are the best and we look forward to seeing you again. Stacy and Michael.

I was so pleased to have Hatties help in booking my unit. She was kind enough and recommended to show me the unit before I paid, just to be sure it matched my needs. Good thing she did! The size I had planned looked smaller than I realized, so she then gave me a tour of other similarly-sized units of various layouts until I found the one that suited me. In addition, she gave me effective advice regarding the property insurance instead of upselling me (I wouldnt need it if it was covered by my homeowners insurance, which it was). I would recommend this location for its great service and prices. A really great deal and experience.

I had to store some of my belongings here. The facility is clean, easy to access, and it was just what I needed. Cannot say enough good things about my experience. The building is clean and they have anything youd need to load up a unit. Steven, in the office, was very helpful and made the process super easy. I can honestly say - I hardly ever receive this good of a customer service ANYWHERE. Steven was so helpful and attentive, its amazing. Public Storage is as good as it gets when it comes to storage. Would recommend to anyone who needs storage!! I wish that more businesses cared as much. The world would be a greater place.
