From the reviews, it seems like they either have great ones or a 1 star. Someone said most people have only ever posted 1 review and thats not possible.... I think this might be only the 2nd or 3rd review Ive ever posted but this is not FAKE! I was thinking about buying a new MAC (mine is 2011) I use my computer for photography (Photoshop 40,000+ photos) and Genealogy (years worth of research, easily several thousand+ documents) and while my computer worked fine, it was slow. I was storing most things on a 2 TB hard drive that is about 75% full. Access times to get things from that drive were slow. I had 4GB RAM and 360 or 380 GB, cant remember exactly, of hard drive space. I really didnt have the $$ to shell out $3000 for the top of the line MAC. Someone at work suggested getting mine upgraded, I didnt even know you could do that, thats how "non-techy" I am! Our Computer IT guys - who do not work on MACs because we dont have any in the office - suggested iMechanic. Since I didnt know anywhere else, thats where I went and how I picked them. I had looked online and looked at a 1 TB solid state hard drive and upgrading to 16GB of RAM. Everything said "you can install this yourself, watch our video, all you need is a screwdriver..." No way. I wasnt messing with the inside of my computer, I needed someone else to do this for me. I went to iMechanic, told them what I wanted. I knew what the online prices were and since I was using a "3rd party" I really thought they were going to get me on parts and labor - with my own research on the do-it-yourself parts, I was at about $400 w/o tax. iMechanic was $549.00 out the door - parts, service, & warranty. Totally worth it to me. I had the choice of leaving my computer for the 3 to 5 days it would take to get the parts or pay up front, keep my computer with me and they would call when parts where in. I choose Opt #2. Time to install was given as 1 day. Getting computer back was a little late - 1/2 day. But I had A LOT to transfer over with all those pics. I did warn them and I think they underestimated that a little. Overall, Id give them 4 1/2 stars for that but I wont rate them down to 4 starts for it if 4 OR 5 full stars is my only choice. All was more positive than that little hiccup. Also, I had to re-install any software that I had downloaded and had a registration key for (Word, Photoshop, Reunion, RootsMagic, Quicken) they couldnt just transfer those programs but my data was all there as soon as I opened program again so they were able to move the data files. I think thats about it. I would recommend them HIGHLY - ask questions if youre unsure. They didnt try to upsell me, I went in and told them what I had looked at online - they warned me it would be "expensive" and I asked "how expensive" and the price for the 1 Tb solid state hard drive was within $20 of the one I looked at online but a better Apple brand match. They asked me several times if I was really sure I needed that much - I said yes, I want it. They seemed like they really didnt want me to be upset with the total bill but I went in expecting it and I basically knew what I wanted so I wasnt shocked or upset at all. I am old enough to have given birth to all of them there! Very nice, polite, knowledgeable guys, not condescending to someone who doesnt know much about computers - which I appreciated. For $549 I have a "new" lightning fast MAC that is faster than the basic new MACs. Very Very pleased and now my husband might have his 2014 MacBook updated too. Last note - their hours are work friendly. I didnt have to make arrangements to leave work early to get there by a 5 pm closing and they are open on Saturday. I liked that too.

Brought my iphone 5s in for a charging dock repair, and had to bring it back 4 times in the same day, each time the phone was in worse and worse condition. The first repair where they replaced the charging dock, brand new chargers out of the box wouldnt work (only my old beat-up intermittently functioning one would work). I brought it back in, they inspected it again and simply told me that there was probably something wrong with the mother board, and that it would be picky about chargers. When I picked it back up, the sound was then non-functional. I had to bring the phone back for repairs again, waited another hour and a half in the store, only to have them bring me my phone back with a simple "we cant fix it". After a heated discussion with the manager who refused to take any responsibility to the additional damage to the phone, it is now bricked. Will not charge on any charger, will not start, anything. I went from a phone that worked but was tricky to charge to a brick in a day after 4 repairs at the same place.

First off, 99% of these reviews are FAKE. When you click on any of the five star reviews, they all have only written one review ever, a review for this place. The chances of that are close to none, I would know as I write a lot of reviews. It is also illegal. Now, I brought in my iPhone because they said the repair would be seamless and fast. When I picked up my phone my screen was not the correct color. I brought this up only to be told that I had agreed to this when I came in earlier that day. I never agreed to this, but I left all the same. A month later and my iPhone was shattered again. I was told that this was my fault and that they would not be replacing it unless I paid for a new repair. Do not go here.

I brought in a Macbook pro with a dead battery. It was expected to take 3 days to get the battery and 1 day to install. After 4 days I hadnt heard anything. I called them on day 5 and they said it was going to be done in less than 30 minutes. I got there and not only was the job not fully finished (they forgot to restart the computer to recognize the new hardware) but they did no take the time to wipe the laptop clean, so it was outwardly dirty. They handed it to me and I looked at it. Couldnt turn it on and had to ask them to look at it again. It was a day late, not fully done, and handed to me dirty.

I took my shattered iPhone 7+ and for repair without an appointment . They promised me it would be done in two hours. It was. However, apparently they had gotten a bad screen from the manufacture. My screen was pink, The power button was warm, my battery was draining in two hours instead of 36 to 40. I took the phone back in and they again promised me it would be done in two hours. It was. This time it was perfect. They kept their promise to fix any problems. I would definitely use them again if I needed a phone repair. The prices were cheaper than any place I had found and they work fast!
