Avoid this shop. Took my vehicle in for an oil change, specifically asked for 10w30 weight, and they put 5w30 in there because that is what they had on hand, blew me off like it was no big deal (it was to me). But I had a coupon to go back so I give them another try. Next, I brought in new in the box rear brakes from auto zone for my vehicle and am told they wont install them (i was willing to sign something stating i brought in the parts and there would be no warranty) but they would only install their upcharged NAPA brakes - ive been to MANY shops both in this area and out of state and have never been declined service for bringing in my own parts. It was clear they just wanted the extra money and were hoping id return the brakes i had just bought so they could sell theirs. Finally, when i went to pick up my vehicle the next day having left it overnight, it was UNLOCKED on the OUTSIDE of their gates, parked along the street - anyone could have gotten inside and stole my vehicle or my belongings (i had a GPS in the center console). My father, as well, had a bad experience with them when he requested a certain oil to be put in his truck and they put their own brand in. Neither he nor I will be returning. Shop doesnt listen, and will only sell their own parts. Shop tries to lure you in with their coupons. With all the competition around avoid this place and take your vehicle somewhere else.

I recently moved to this area and I was referred to Kaiser Auto by a co-worker. I am always cautious of mechanics because some of them try to up-sale you on services and parts you dont need. The folks at Kaiser Auto are super friendly and honest. I took multiple vehicles to them and they told me exactly what I needed to do now and what things could wait. They even gave me some discounts even though I didnt have the coupon with me. The final thing that sold me on them is that they quoted me prices for certain work and once all is said and done my bill turned out to be a little cheaper because they ended up not needing some part or the task didnt take as long as expected. I have found my LaPorte, IN mechanic and I will be bringing all of my vehicles here for the foreseeable future. Keep up the good work guys!

The ABS light on my dashboard came on, so I took my 1999 Audi A4 to Kendalls to diagnose the problem. Apparently the cause was a bad wheel speed sensor. They couldnt give me a straightforward quote because the old sensor was "rusted, and may be difficult to remove." They estimated it at ~$400. That seemed rather high, so I called the Audi dealer to see what theyd charge, and they said ~$250. Usually I try to avoid the dealer because they are a rip-off. Thats why I tried Kendalls. After spending $70 for Kendalls to diagnose the problem, Ill be spending more than I would have originally by just going to the dealer in the first place. I would NOT recommend this garage. What kind of outfit cant quote a job because of a rusty wheel speed sensor?

Kaisers attention to detail with each of their clients when it comes to costumer service before, during, and after each service appointment is far above what I have seen from other auto shops. They do an excellent job of assessing/fixing what is wrong efficiently and effectively, and I always feel like the value of the service exceeds the cost. I also REALLY appreciate that they do an inspection of your vehicle and let you know what items might be on the horizon to get done without any pressure that you need to do it all at one time/spend hundreds of dollars when all you wanted was an oil change - making it a lot less stressful to take your car in somewhere!

This shop is incredibly clean and the people are informative and friendly. Fairly quick service with appointments. Often run specials so customers save a little and new clients are attracted. Waiting area is great. My car is always serviced professionally and with reasonable costs.
