WOW!!! I feel like I got royally screwed today. Took my 2008 Kia Rondo to Tech Tune to get 3 ignition coils replaced and 6 spark plugs. I ended up paying twice what the Kia dealership would have charged. Here is the breakdown: $89.95 Diagnostics – Okay with that $29.95 A/C Check – Okay with that $54.95 Oil Change: $12.00 Labor – Great price on labor $42.95 Oil and filter – A bit high but reasonable Everything above is fair enough… now for the problem $59.94 (6) Spark plugs – More than doubled from Napa’s $28.14 Martin Kia’s Price - $111.00 for (6) $62.99 Manifold gasket – More than doubled from Napa’s $25.99 $440.97 (3) Ignition Coils - More than doubled from Napa’s $81.49 Martin Kia’s Price – $287.61 for (3) $259.78 Labor – Really high when it should only take 2 hours Martin Kia’s Price - $198.00 $19.85 Intake system cleaner – Reasonable?? $14.85 Fuel Injector cleaner – Reasonable?? $14.85 Throttle body cleaner – Reasonable?? $100.36 Labor – WTH… Double bill me for labor… why not??? $21.99 Air filter - Almost double Napa’s $11.49 So, I’m okay with making a FAIR profit… but it should not have cost $1221.79 for this. I really think $875 would have been reasonable. When I presented Martin Kia’s estimate and asked why it cost so much, Jim chuckled and quickly changed the subject. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR WITH TECH TUNE

TO THE POINT....YOU GUYS ARE ROBBING PEOPLE THAT DONT KNOW ANY BETTER, AND GOD FORBID A WOMAN GO TO YOUR SHOP BY THEMSELVES....YOU CROOKS TOLD A FEMALE FRIEND OF MINE SHE NEEDED WIPER BLADES....STRIKE 1...THEY WERE LESS THAN 2 MONTHS OLD...STRIKE 2, YOU TRIED TO TELL HER IT WOULD COST 85.00 FOR THEM. ARE YOU OUTTA YOUR MINDS? THEN YOU GUYS LET HER WALK 4 MILES BACK HOME WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN WHILE WORKING ON HER VAN. YOU GUYS SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT BEHIND THE BARN OR WORSE FOR THAT. WHEN SHE TOLD YOU LATER SHE HAD TO WALK THAT FAR, YOU GUYS ACTED LIKE IT WAS NOTHING....YOU ARE LUCKY, SO LUCKY THERE ARE LAWS AGAINST DOING TO YOU AS YOU DO UNTO OTHERS....EVERY DOG HAS HIS DAY THOUGH...I TOLD SOME FRIENDS THAT ARE EMPLOYED AT A MAJOR AUTO PARTS STORE...THEY THINK THE OWNER IS A PRICK....I GOT ON FACEBOOK AND LET PEOPLE KNOW YOUR BUSINESS SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED AND REPORTED TO THE ATTY GENERAL......I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT KNOWS OF A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BY SUB-PAR WORK OR JUST GETTING PLAIN ROBBED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORSE ENEMY!! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I went in to get battery posts cleaned. They said posts disintegrated and couldnt be replaced. Charged me for the cleaning and installed a new battery. I was charged almost $200 for the batteries and the post cleaning!! But not before they gave me a free brake inspection. Scare tactics I was told my brakes were so bad I probably would not make it home alive. AND The new brakes would only cost $976!!!! I took the vehicle to another mechanic and had new brakes put on a couple of days later. The new brakes were around $400 I did not need calipers and rotors as Tech Tune tried to scare me into buying! 4 years later I still drive by the place furious. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORSE ENEMY!!! As a woman it was insulting to say the least. I was stuck for the battery as I had no way to drive away!! JERKS!!!

Ive been taking both of my vehicles here for about three years now, but these guys just cant be trusted anymore. I try to keep my vehicles long time, so I typically go along with whatever recommendations the mechanics have made and trust Im not being screwed over; however, when my truck was in the shop today, they called and suggested I need a new air filter, which I gladly agreed to. The issue is, on the way home I remembered that before I moved to Kentucky I put a K&N air filter my truck that last a lifetime. So at some point since I Ive been servicing my truck here, they upsold me on an air filter that, as mechanics, they knew I didnt need. If they did that with my air filter, it makes me wonder what other services they performed on my vehicles unnecessarily over the past three years. Time to find a new shop.

I worked at Tech tune for a short time it was very high-tech for a independent shop it remind me of working in a dealership Jimmy is very thorough hes not a crook he knows what hes doing he may be a little High Strung but that goes with the expertise I have worked at several shops including my own and I have recommended Jimmy on several occasions I think hes probably the most thorough and most honest shop that you will find around the BG area the reasons I left had nothing to do with Jimmy I do think the place needs to work on respecting their employees a little better thats who makes the money and why I didnt give them a five star

About a month ago they patched a tire for me but did not put it back on my vehicle. It took a really long time and I was not impressed with the service. Now I am having problems with my brakes and tried to make an appointment for them to look at them but the girl on the phone was really rude and gave me a lecture about needing to have them checked right away. I know I need them checked thats why I called. She was very inconsiderate of my work schedule and refused to try to schedule an appointment around my job. I told her Id take my business somewhere else. I do not recommend this place.

Great Service and Honest, Knowledgeable, Technicians! I wont take my cars anywhere else! They tell you exactly what you need, not a bunch of extras they made up to make money off of you. They are reliable and friendly. I had another shop in town tell me I needed almost $3,000 worth of repairs before they could align my car. I brought my car to Tech Tune, they said my front end was tight and I just had a torn boot, a $270 repair! That is a HUGE difference!! I will NEVER go anywhere else but Tech Tune!

We were having issues with the air conditioner on our car. . We asked to have a diagnostic ran on it but unfortunately our car is too old. The receptionist was very kind and helped us through the process and answered all of our questions (and we had a few). We will definitely recommend their services to all of our friends and family. Its so nice to know that honest mechanics still do exist.

If there is something I need outside of the norm, its always explained thoroughly to me and all options explored. I trust my vehicles to Tech-Tune in Bowling Green!

Have oil changes done here and always a good experience. Recently had an electrical issue with my 1938 chevy street rod. Several shops failed to find the problem. Took it to Tech and Tune and it was resolved very quickly by Jimmy. Customer service was excellent and the price was right. Thanks Tech and Tune!
