I went there initially to get the AC plug on my laptop fixed. After being told repairing it could possibly cost more because that area needed delicate tools and a mistake could mess up my laptop, I decided to use my warranty to get my laptop repaired. He then offered to back up my files in case they had to wipe it clean, which was great. I had my files backed up, sent my computer in for repairs, and got my computer back with the hard drive wiped clean, just as I knew would happen. I then take my laptop back to get my things put back into the repaired laptop, and my back up is no where to be found. He lost my back-up. I had my back up made in June, and bought back my computer in July b/c he had went on vacation. I thought it was going to take a couple of days, maybe a week to find. It is now almost September and I still do not have my back-up. He says he is still looking for it, but I doubt it will be found. Im extremely upset. I had hundreds of pictures, hundreds of songs, and many important documents that I will never get back. It cost $45 dollars to get the back-up made, but getting that money back cannot replace all the things I have lost. If I need another back-up in the future, I will be going elsewhere.

Laptop, fairly new. Internal cable connecting display and main board. The guy was prompt in diagnosing my problem, had to order a replacement cable from China. Unfortunately shipping took about 4 weeks. Was helpful in offering my back my non-monitor computer for external display use, even offering his own laptop. However, he was not prompt in letting me know when the cable arrived. Now heres the kicker. Once receiving the replacement part, the technician installed it and called me noting that the screen was cracked. After telling him I did not turn it into the shop in those conditions, he realized that it was the fault of the shop for cracking my screen. The store covered the additional repair and replacement screen, and I waited another 2 weeks for a functional laptop. He was understanding and owned up to his mistake, taking the full cost of the additional repair. However, this malpractice can not be ignored. All in all, 2 months without a laptop and $100 later (reasonable) I finally had a working laptop again. This store is fairly disorganized and more equipped to fix the desktop computers of 10 years ago than the slim laptops of today. Would recommend going elsewhere.

Highly recommend you go else where. If ever I need a laptop repair again I would drive 1,000,000 miles before returning to this hole in the wall shop. They are completely unprofessional and unorganized. Not only did I have to call and inquire about the status of my lap top, these people "fixed" and changed things on my laptop without my consent. They also lied about when the repair would be completed. I can understand things taking longer than expected, but it would have been nice to be updated on the status of the repair. And when I called, I repeat, I called to check on my lap top and found out exactly what was going I expressed my displeasure and the owner had the nerve to tell me I was unappreciative. Excuse me, my appreciation will be shown when I pay the $200 for the repair. This is your job not a favor. Very unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! It is not worth the headache.

Great experience with them! Good diagnosis, great repair work and they order parts based exactly on the part number so they get it right the first time! Extremely helpful and nice shopkeepers who both have a world of experience in computer repairs. They do both hardware and software repairs. My HP laptop had a cooling fan problem. They opened it up and found 3 fan blades broken and immediately ordered a replacement cooling fan assembly. The parts arrived over the weekend and the repair barely took half an hour. I got my laptop back the same evening that I gave it in as I require it every day for work and they were kind enough to get it done quickly before their other work. All in all, I would very very highly recommend this place for computer repairs. :) Its very close to campus and student apartments and is a walkable distance from most places in Purdue.

So just as a disclaimer the people who worked there were incredibly nice/smart/honest with the best prices in town, however they misdiagnosed the problem with my computer and 65 dollars later I realized my computer not charging was simply because the charger was broken and not because the charger port on my computer had to be replaced. As computer professionals they should have checked that out first before mailing in/replacing my charger port when in actuality it was fine and my charger itself was faulty. They even went as far as saying it was a "mother board problem" perhaps"....So while they were knowledgeable I recommend going to several places to diagnose your computer problem before going there to fix it as they might misdiagnose the problem. PS now my computer makes this funny little noise...

They did a good job of finding what the problem was, but they never contacted me on when it was ready. I constantly had to stop in to find out if there were any updates. They said they would call me when it was ready but never did. If I hadnt stopped by to pick it up it would have just sat there. UPDATE: Took my laptop to the apple store to sell, and they did a check up before quoting me and they were able to find the exact problem in about 20 minutes free of charge (it took these guys 2 weeks). In addition, the problem that the apple store identified was completely different from what this store did, and they were able to prove that was the problem. TLDR, if you have a mac, do not come anywhere near this store ever. If you have a PC, go to every other store first.

*VERY DISPLEASED* I sent my laptop in to Computers by Campus when the screen turned on. After a week and a half I called them on the status and they told me it was an operation system issue and they were getting to work on it. After 2 weeks I called them back (upset with no update) and they told me there was an issue and the hard drive no longer worked. ALL MY DATA WAS LOST. After waiting and waiting to see if they could undo their mistake, I waited over a month and FINALLY called them about it. Turned out they forgot about my laptop! My laptop spent 2 and half months with them, and I finally got it back with a corrupted hard drive. I was out my laptop my entire fall semester at Purdue! Horrible experience!

Staffs are really friendly and responsive to calls. And they make sure they call you with updates with certain progress if you ask staffs to do so. They are very knowledgeable and you can give them your computer trusting them will do the best its possibly can be done to fix your computer. The earlier you bring them your computer the better chance you will have though. I dropped my computer and damaged my hard drive. After several days my computer refuse to boot up and I hand my computer to them the next day. They saved all my data back and reinstalled my windows on my computer.
