Called for a leak in a water pipe that had flooded our basement. Plumber came and spent 2 hrs trying to upsell us on a $7,000 water softener/heater/filter system(and that was the base model). He did not even attempt to fix the leak until after acting the salesmen piece for 2 hrs. Several scare tactics/high pressure was used in attempt to make the sale. Afterwards, the total time spent on the repair was under 20 minutes. My wife mentioned the valve would interfere with the ceiling tile but the plumber said it wouldnt be an issue... but it is. Ben Franklin sent us a survey which I answered truthfully a couple of weeks ago. Got a call today in response. The caller was nice and apologized for the salesmanship but stated anecdotally their plumbers are trained to inform customers of their filtration systems as they believe its the best for us and our families. The best thing would have been to fix the valve so that we could attend to the flooding. The caller stated that they would come back to fix the valve interference if we wanted. Long story short, its their companys policy to sell their systems. No consideration for our time. Cost was considerably high. When you call a Ben Franklin, youre calling a salesmen.

These guys at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing are TERRIFIC! I had them come to replace a simple outdoor faucet that I had mistakenly ruined by leaving a garden hose connected after our hard-frost started happening... my DUMB mistake... caused a split in the faucet that meant it needed replaced. Usually, I can do these sorts of repairs myself;.. but, since the faucet was soldered into place, I had to call a Plumber.... Benjamin Franklin was the first name I thought of. They were able to offer me a next-day appointment, but I had a previous commitment. The following day after they got here, which was good for my schedule. When Brian arrived (on-time), he was pleasant, showed me what it would cost me, offered me warranty options, and then allowed me to have him make some changes so I would be able to make this simple repair (replace a screw-in faucet) if I were ever this DUMB again! He had it fixed in half-an-hour, and it is just as expected, only now even better. I actually called the OFFICE number to tell them how professional Brian was, and that I was now a loyal Benjamin Franklin customer... It doesnt get any better than that. Thanks Benjamin Franklin Plumbing!

They are not Plumbers, they are salesmen with a daily quota of $2000.00 a day in sales each. Majority of techs have 6 month of plumbing/sales experience before put on their own to earn the daily cash reward for replacement plumbing spiff sales. I have witnessed them lying and misleading customers just to get a sale to meet daily goal and or spiff bonus. "Why repair when I can replace earning me a spiff bonus" Was said by a tech to me at a job. THEY ARE NOT PLUMBERS!!! They are salesman who have a rough idea how plumbing works. If you are dead set for hiring them make sure you ask for Gary, Lance or Matt as these 3 are honest and have a good knowledge of plumbing and they will not rip you off. Written by an ex-employee with state masters HVAC license and 25+years plumbing & heating experience. You can get better quality work for less $$$ if you go elsewhere.

We have used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing three times and have been very pleased with them every time! We needed to call them today for a problem with a stool. They came out soon thereafter and ended up having to replace it. Cody was our technician. He was very knowledgeable; even showed us part of a film/movie on the stool he recommended and its benefits. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything to the fullest. He went to the shop, picked up the new stool and had it replaced in no time. Cleaned up thoroughly and was on his way. Very pleasant experience! and we would not hesitate recommending them and calling them again should the need arise. I was impressed that he put the coverings on over his shoes the first thing; I appreciate that and was impressed that he respected our home. Thank you!

Andrew was prompt. His job was to figure out why my washer was draining into the toilet in a 1/2 bath-laundry room and making it overflow all over the floor. In addition, the vanity sink water was also filling up the toilet. The smaller snake-rotor-rooter machine used in the vanity plumbing didnt fix the clog, so he used the bigger version downstairs in the basement for a trap common to all three drains. That worked! He didnt have to take the toilet apart, saving me about $150. On the way upstairs from the basement, the handle on his big machine came apart causing him to fall down the stairs with this big monster machine falling on him. He hurt his knee in the process. Poor guy! He still had 2 more jobs to finish after mine. I would recommend his service anytime. Nice guy and a hard worker

I had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing come out about 6 weeks ago to unclog my kitchen sink. The team was courteous and helpful. They left thinking that problems were solved. I was still experiencing some things with the water drainage in my kitchen sink so I called them back. This time Bill came out. I was really dreading this appointment because I was afraid they were going to tell me that was just the way it was going to be that they had done everything they could. The appointment was just the opposite. Bill made it his mission to make sure that the problem was resolved and that I was happy with his work. He went the extra mile, which was very refreshing. He knew what he was doing and was kind and courteous. Very, very pleased with the service I received .

Had water leakage/clogged under kitchen sink on June 10th, 2017. Called them, they said to come and take a look will take $68.50. They will then give estimate. If I dont like the estimate they give, then I have to pay $68.50. They came and estimate was wayyyyyy high of my expectation $611. I declined and had to pay $73.30 for few minute of their visit, not bad for 5-10 min I called Action plumbing, they did same work only for $200 ($611 vs & $200?????) Think twice or even more before calling them. I think their motto is to stop by for few minute, and charge you $68.50 and thats all they want. I have learnt it in a hard way. Never ever will call them.

Initial call to assess work costs nearly $100. Cost of installing bathroom items was $270 for a toilet and $500 for a tub, neither of which took me more than 10 min to install myself (Obviously denied spending that much for so little). Did have them do a drain pipe fix since I wasnt completely sure what needed to be done. After watching the work, letting them use my tools, realized I could have spent $40 on supplies and done an easy equivalent. $180.... 30 min of work. They got close to $300 for a simple pipe fix..... DONT USE THIS COMPANY. Nice guys, horrible horrible pricing practices....

Cody R. and his asst. Caleb E. came out to drain water heater and thoroughly check all plumbing for leaks or any other problems. Cody smelled a chlorine odor coming from water softener which could have become a serious problem if not taken care of promptly. He recommended a whole house carbon filtration system to absorb the chlorine and/or residue before entering water softener. We have not had any problem since. These two knew what they were doing and why it needed to be done and did a fantastic job. I recommend BFP and these two gentlemen for any plumbing job that may arise.
