Is zero star possible? High degree of incompetence and awful customer service. My wife checks the mailbox every day so our mailbox is always empty. One Friday we received one of those little orange notes stating our mailbox has been full, "All mail returned". The next morning we went to the post office to show them the note and let them know it was a mistake and we needed the mail to continue to come. They took our number and said they would follow up. We did not get a call so by Friday I went in to ask what was going on. They said there was no mail held and it had all been returned to sender since the Friday before. Not only had they screwed up once by incorrectly returning our mail to everyone, but also by completely ignoring our request on Saturday to continue mail. At this point I requested to talk to someone else about sorting this out. I was given the "supervisor", a shorter lady who did not offer any additional explanation. She stood by the carriers story and told me it was "well documented" the mailbox had been full for a month. She looked for an excuse like "how long have you lived there" to which I replied a year and she seemed irritated I wasnt just going away. She said it was a "he said, she said" situation because the mail carrier was telling her it was full. I then explained could show her stamped and dated mail we received the day before which would prove we were taking mail out of our mailbox. I dont think she ever understood the concept I was explaining to her, either due to lack of caring or was simply too incompetent to follow the basic logic I was explaining. I asked what my other options were to file a complaint. I wanted to make sure it didnt happen again and she said I could file one online, but "It would just come to me, and I would call you to tell you the same thing Im telling you now." Is it no wonder they lose BILLIONS a year with the inability to do their very simple job and provide basic customer service. An apology and admitting they made a mistake would have gone a long way to not look completely ignorant and incompetent. I guess that is what we should expect when they have no accountability to do a good job..

I have filed 3 complaints about the postal worker who delivers my mail. Not one time has anyone followed up. The third time I went to the post office to complain directly to the manager and he said he would follow up, never did. Today I had another incident! On monday, my boxes were tossed by the mailboxes (I live in an apt complex) instead of my door. I was not expecting anything. Finally, Thursday I got a call from my neighbor saying they were sitting there. I ran into my postal worker today and told her the boxes werent delivered to my door and she stormed off saying it wasnt her. I stopped her again and asked who it was then so I can file a complaint. Quick response- dont know... then she proceeded to yell at me about how they have protocol they have to follow for delivery packages, etc. I was caught so off guard I didnt even know what to say. Finally, I asked why she is so rude everytime I ask her a question. She said I was accusing her of something she didnt do. I did not accuse her, I simply asked a question! She stays on the phone even while Im trying to conversation with her (both today and once in the past), shes rude, and she never seems to get me myour mail. Ive had several packages returned and several regular pieces of mail returned. I once waited three months to get a replacement card because she kept returning it! Im beyond fed up with the customer service with this post office and I sincerely hope, with all of the complaints from several people, something is finally done to resolve this. Clearly, she needs more training and a dose of respect for other people.

Delivery USED to be much better maybe 6 years ago when we were still considered rural delivery route but since it is at least 2 hours delayed in the off season (not near a holiday)... IF properly delivered. There have been many times in the last 5 years that our mail was delivered to the wrong box or delayed with no reason. Ive missed a few bills as a result when the neighbors who may have received my mail didnt bother to redeliver (has happened a few times). I always redeliver mail that belonged to someone else but was put in my box (has happened many times). I have also received notice of package delivery but no package until at least 3-4 hours later, if at all. Today I was expecting a package from Amazon (tracking showed out for delivery) that needs no signature. Usually these are just left on my front stoop if not small enough to fit in the mail box. Instead I received a message that delivery failed with a time stamp that indicated when attempt was made. Problem is I WAS AT THE MAIL BOX AND THEN IN MY GARAGE WITH THE DOOR OPEN 5 MINUTES BEFORE AND AFTER THE TIME STAMP. No mail delivery truck was in the neighborhood at that time as I was driving through just before this and was watching for it after arriving home. And of course no note left at the door cuz the carrier was never really here. Called the office and they said they would check but Im not holding my breath. The staff in the office seems fine and friendly when Ive called or visited, the problem is the carriers in the field who dont seem to do their job when they feel like skipping out.

Probably some of the rudest, most incompetent individuals I have ever come into contact with. I ordered a package, and the USPS tracking information showed when it arrived to this USPS location--and then the tracking stopped. I called several times before I could even reach someone. A spoke to two indifferent gentlemen who told me theyd search for the package---and then never returned my call. When I followed up for the third time, I was simply told they spoke with the mail carrier assigned to my neighborhood, who reported she remembered delivering it to our home. I never received this package. I asked to speak with the manager, who would not return my call. When I finally reached her, I complained about the lost package and the lack of follow up to my several contacts with this office. When I asked her what she intended to do about the lack of follow up, she actually YELLED at me that what she does with her own employees is none of my business. I then contacted the postmaster general, Cheryl Love, to report my experience in detail. She assured me she would look for my package herself and the way the employees handled the situation. She, too, failed to follow up and return my call. So there you go, folks. The postmaster general is well aware of the situation at this post office and doesnt intend to do a thing about it.

I was expecting a package today, I paid extra shipping for expedited service. Well the mail came around 1:30pm. I was expecting 2 packages and they delivered one. The other was listed, via tracking info from Amazon, as undeliverable because the carrier could not access my front door. This is laughable because I do not live in a gated community, the delivered package was time stamped the exact same time as the undeliverable and my door is literally 5 feet away from the mailboxes. I called the mail facility at 4pm and was pleasantly surprised when someone answered (it being a Sunday). He looked up my undelivered package via the tracking number, found it in the system, took my phone number and said hed figure out what happened and call me back. Here I am, 3 hours after placing the phone call, 5 hours after the carrier lied about why they didnt deliver my package and still nothing. Im upset because the package is time sensitive and I paid extra because I needed this package by a certain date. Are they going to reimburse me? I doubt it. This isnt the first thing theyve messed up and probably wont be the last. After many repeated incidents I was finally prompted to write a review.
