Dear owner. I wonder if you have heard the story of the customer that waited 4 weeks for his car to be fixed. Very patient with your service center. Very little to no proactive feedback along the way from any one in the service center. I had to call to get updates. After a month, I called on a Friday to see what the status of the vehicle was and was told that the part just came in and the car had been pulled into the shop that day. And was assured that it would be worked on all Saturday and should be able to get it done by Sunday. I phoned on Sunday and was told that it would be another 1-2 hours. After 3 hours I phoned to get an update and was told almost done. Part of the work was to replace two tires that I brought to the shop...which was nice to be able to do that. Took the car and was on the road the following Monday and the wheel well cover came loose....while on the highway. I have pictures of the cover hanging out of the wheel well. I have pictures of no bolts in the holes on the cover. And the brakes squeak like crazy. The feedback from the shop is that they could rig the cover back in...I advised its beat up and cut up....but still all that could be done would be to rig in back in. No responsibility taken for not putting it back in. And the brakes....well that comes from RUST on the brake pads from sitting for 4 weeks is what I was told. The four weeks it sat there waiting for the part to come in. I thought maybe they could have at least cleaned the brake pads. But no offer. In the end what i feel is that I thought I had found a place that I could work with. A place that was real. A place that I was willing to give a break because I thought they treated me fairly. What I mean by give a break to....my sons car needed an oil change....we went to pick the car up and started it and the oil light came on....the technician working on the car didnt add any oil. I did not cause any scene, I just told someone there that the oil light was still on...and asked if they could check. Two parties working together. Now...I feel like I Valley West Corner Store is not all that I thought it was.

Unskilled and gave me the runaround. I brought my Equinox in due to it dying while at low speeds and idling. They called me and I was told either an actuator or crankshaft position sensor was bad. I was told a sensor would be ~$250 and the actuator would be substantially more money. I agreed to replace the sensor first to see if that fixed the problem before a road trip I had scheduled for the next day. I picked up the car later that evening after paying $290 (including an oil change) only to find the problem recurring when I was on my road trip. I ended up having to take to a dealership in Columbia, Mo which told me I needed to replace a intake cam valve, which would cost ~$280. I agreed, problem solved. I went back to this shop to see about the misdiagnosis and why the Equinox wasnt properly tested after replacing a sensor. I was first told there was no way the dealership replaced a valve for that price, then told the actuator they had originally spoke of was really the what the dealership had completed. Im not super knowledgeable about cars. I dont know whether they were right or wrong. What I do know is the dealership diagnosed and fixed my problem for $290, while this shop gave me the runaround and didnt take the opportunity to make it right with a dissatisfied customer while wasting ~$250 throwing parts at a problem due to an inability to satisfactorily diagnose and fix an issue. If you need an oil change, probably not a bad place to go. If you need anything more diagnostic completed, I would keep looking.

Went in for a simple "dead battery" problem. Sign behind the service desk says electrical system check-$15.00. Was told the alternator needed replaced. Price of alternator they said was $460.00,plus labor-$90.00/hr,plus $90.00 diagnostic, plus the $100.00 tow from not far away. That comes to around $760.00 and tax. Called a friend to see if this sounds fair and he said "no way". Towed it to another location $75.00, cost of a new alternator/exchange with a lifetime warranty $149.99, labor $60.00. That comes to $285.00. I was told that the sign I seen and read was not there and didnt exist. I was also told that they had to charge the battery and that is why the $90.00 was charged. Evidently the mechanic has to watch the battery charge. If a so-called mechanic cant diagnose a faulty charging system in 15 minutes of time he should find another line of work. I talked to shop manager, station manager,(Janet), and business owner, I believe was Ron, gave me a call. Got nowhere with him. He was more rude than the shop manager. Pretty much called me a liar about the sign. Very unprofessional and rude, not to mention just plain theives. The only one that seemed to care was Janet on the gas side. Save your money and shop somewhere else! ....and if you notice the excellent and good reviews didnt leave a name. Must have been the shop manager and owner!LOL

Worst service in the WORLD!!! went in really quick with my sick child because my AC had a broken knob...I had told the MANAGER this right at the begining, and said i had to be somewhere faily quick. He said okay we will have it fast. I signed something that explained there would be a deposit for work over 1,000 or 5,000 and fee for leaving your car behind at the shop. over an hour and a half the manager comes stands and looks at me waiting for me to ask if my car was fixed, he said that his dealer would not have the part because it is too new. started asking me about my warranty, I told him i would rather take it to where i usually take it if cannot fix it, he asked what do you mean... i said i told you i had limited time, and he said okay brings me a bill for $100 dollars. I told him he never told me to look at my car for almost two hours without doing any LABOR that he would charge me for this. I even called the police, and they saw i had a baby with me crying and they took an hour to tell me i had to take it to small claims court. Worst experience i have experienced in a while in my life, not just the situation but the quality of people, and the importance they have over their career (low life people taking advantage of a business name).

I was actually in panick mode as I had driven into town and realized that the was a rattling sound coming from the left front tire. Also as I drove on the interstate into West Des Moines I could feel the whole tyre wobble on 70Mph. The steering did same! I found these guys on the internet as I happened to be nearby and drove straight in. After an initial diagnosis, they told me exactly what I needed. A wheel alignment and rotation of my tyres. We ended up not doing the wheel alignment as some other parts needed to be changed too. For brevity sake they sorted out what they could and advised me to come for a complete wheel alignment soon. So far the car has driven great as I havent felt the tire go out of place, a rattle or a shaky steering. Why I will give them a five star rating is because they were very courteous and professional throughout my time at their shop. They took their time to explain and gave me the option to chose what course of action I deemed fit for me to get on the road again. I will certainly recommend them to anyone with car trouble
