One wonders the point of even making an appointment for getting passports processed. We arrived right on time, only to have "Jeff" the person who was supposed to assist us stroll in 10 minutes after the scheduled time, without an apology. He simply said to his co-worker, "Oh, theyre here..." Next, even though we had everything prepared in advance, Jeff hands us new forms and says that we have to fill them out again. He didnt bother to acknowledge that we were prepared, that their own instructions dont tell you that every page has to be separate. He just says you have to step out of the way while youre re-filling these out, because theyll just come back again if you dont do it this way. After telling us we can use any of the unused counters, I start helping my daughter. Up walks another clerk who doesnt bother to acknowledge our existence, she simply pushes our stuff out of the way. I tell her well be done in a second and she stomps off in a huff. After getting everything filled out, Jeff asks us how were going to pay. At least he had started to process my sons forms. I tell him credit card, which is what the official passport web site says they accept. He angrily says that it has to be cash, debit card or check. So I responded with "whiskey tango foxtrot" your web site says credit card... This bureaucrat basically says there are all kinds of mistakes with the website and its not his problem. So we are then forced to write 4 separate checks for our 4 children . This office is staffed with rude, inefficient people and should be leveled rather than given any future business.

Paid additional for priority mail shipment, was supposed to receive my shipment 5/10/17, did not receive my shipment. Shipment went smooth leading all the way up to the Olathe USPS, where things went wrong. I called up the next day to figure out why I have not yet received my package, and was informed that a substitute delivery driver assumed I wasnt living there, so then marked my package undeliverable. I was then told that I would see my package that afternoon of 5/11/17, still no package. Called up the day after that, got the exact same response, different person, only this time I was promised a returned call, in which I did not get. So the weekend came, 5/13-5/14 has passed, and now it is 5/15/17, STILL no package. I am growing incredibly frustrated by how nobody knows where my package is, and I was pushed aside when reimbursement was even brought up, they tried to explain to me that I need to make that request to the shipper. I could not believe the ignorance. This is my first month in Olathe, and already I have had more issues with their post office than I ever had in Independence. I didnt want to have to leave a bad review about your office, but my price for expedited shipping has been wasted, my shipment is missing, Im being over promised and under delivered, and there is not a single employee that at least pretends to care. I am very unhappy.

I called ahead this morning and told them I needed 900 $0.71 Vintage Tulip stamps and was told they had them. I told them I was on my way and to please hold them at the counter for me. When I arrived (less than 10 minutes later), I was told that the guy "has to bring them from the back", which took 10 minutes. Then that guy had to "transfer the stamps from inventory to retail store" so I could buy them, but he didnt seem to know how to do that. After consulting with his co-worker, they discovered no one had ever checked the stamps into inventory, so he couldnt transfer them to the retail store so I could buy them. Beckie (the co-worker) told him to go check them into inventory, and told me to wait. 15 minutes later, Beckie came back out to tell me that "the guy in the back" couldnt find the paperwork he needed in order to check the stamps into inventory -- and really didnt know how long it would take to find it -- so "could you please just come back later"? For 30 minutes this morning, I stood looking at the 900 stamps I wanted to buy, but they couldnt sell them to me because they *technically* didnt exist.

NIce workers, horrible service. Heres some thoughts. Dont spend a minute chit chatting with a customer once they are done when you have 20 people in line. The time adds up. Dont bother asking each and every customer if they need stamps. Up selling is for McDonalds, not the post office. Its stupid to read to each and every customer the question about are you shipping liquids, explosives, etc. Do you think someone who is shipping these items is going to say yes? I waited 40 minutes in line on my last visit to pick up a piece of certified mail. Three other people were there to do the same thing. Out of the 4 of us, only one person was able to get his mail. They couldnt find any of the others, including mine. They apparently file them by the last digit of a persons address. WTF? I live in a town of 100,000+ people. How many addresses have a last digit of 4? A couple of thousand maybe? This office is a model of inefficiency. Well, at least the employees were nice, and apologetic. Not that it does me any good.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. The people that work here are the RUDEST human beings I have ever had to deal with. My sister and I ship packages to friends and family for birthdays, holidays, etc. Pretty normal, right?! Well my sister had mentioned the other day she was trying to ship international and was told she had to fill out a form (which one of the employees had given her) and to bring it back later with her package. She followed all the directions and then was RUDELY told by one of the staff members there that she didnt do it right and had to re-do it and bring it back. Before she was even able to walk out the door, the lady started trash talking about her WHILE SHE WAS STILL THERE!!!! I get your life is pretty miserable that you need to trash talk someone else so maybe working with customers face-to-face isnt your thing and you need a new job. Or at least a hobby to keep you happy. Jeez!

Well lets see --what is so hard about matching 4 numbers on a package and mail box-a monkey could do that--to the mailwoman that delivered mail on Tuesday 09/10/2013--get a new job-if you cant read a number on a package and match it-something is not right with you and this isnt the place for you---this is now the second time this has been done--for those of you on Spruce check your mail carefully-you may not be getting it all or someone else is getting yours---And then to act like its my problem and not yours that I did not get what I ordered--like oh well we will try and get it right next time--they need to start acquiring signatures to deliver packages like ups does and fed ex-or if you cant leave a note in the box for pickup-- There will be no Christmas Card this year for your services---

Im seeing at USPS tracking that I have two packages delivered to my mailbox... They are not there. I wish I can say its the first time but not really. I receive incorrect mail and I had packages delivered to someone else. I was lucky, those neighbors returned them but what if they dont? My son received his Easter card from his Grandparents on 07/26 last year.... A disaster!!! At the store, the lady with short hair is very efficient and pacient but the senior employee... Rude, disrespectful... I even heard him telling creepy stories to a young lady about her country. Really? I dont want anyone to get fired but a warning or something like that wouldnt hurt....
