I love the work and the people at YOST auto. I took my 1997 Honda Accord in to their shop for a front wheel bearing replacement. My case ended up to be worst than I though and needed an extra part. They were able to find a suitable part and fix it for less than their ball park estimate. The owner is super nice and offered myself and one other person who was waiting in the lobby a freshly made cup of coffee. The owner also did something that I have never expected from any shop. That is: he kept constant contact with myself with the progress of my car and also taught me a few things about what was wrong with my car. Jonathan, the guy at the front desk is amazing. He is also super nice and very honest. He is also seems to be very optimistic about the estimates (among other things) and consistently allows for the consumer to prepare for the worst case scenario while it is almost never above the cost he has quoted. This is good practice in the automotive industry which benefits the consumer in the way of the ability to plan. My estimate that I had over the phone was around 275 plus tax. With the added part that was needed it went up to a post-tax amount of 385. The repairs actually cost me less at $380 and change which is the post tax amount. After I left the shop, I was driving along 2nd street and I could not believe how good my car felt while driving. It felt a lot smoother and I havent had a single problem with the repair since. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the air capitol with a car. They are amazing. I will be taking my car there for future servicing and repairs.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!!! I have been a loyal customer of Yost for many years. I brought my vehicle in this week to get checked out before I go on a road trip. I had no concerns with the car. I was told that all four tires and break hoses needed to be replaced and that they would need to order the hoses for the back. When I got home that night I checked my car maintenance records and discovered that they already replaced the front break hoses a year ago when brought it in with an issue. I did some research and talked to people and the info I could see indicated that the hoses would not go bad that quickly. Everybody I talked to has either never had to replace their brake hoses or straight out said that this was suspicious and I was being scammed. When I went to pick my vehicle up I asked why BOTH front hoses would have gone bad so quickly. I was told it could have been, ‘because of the heat’ which is not logical because there would be more people with the same problem as I am sure my car does not get any hotter than anyone else’s. Realizing how dumb that sounded the employee also said that, ‘it could be a faulty part’ which I could except if it was one of them, but not BOTH. I was not charged as the part was still under ‘warranty’ but I now question the necessity of the other things they did. Don’t trust this place!! They did the bare minimum to make things right with me after I caught them and tried to minimalize their responsibility by blaming the weather and the parts.

I originally found YOST through google to replace a leaking front rack that another shop had repaired and still was under warranty. I picked them because of their flawless five star rating. Let me say the folks at yost were more than accommodating, polite, and friendly. I was pleased with their service on my rack assembly, so I returned with a squeaking front end on my 03 dodge ram 1500 a couple months later. They found the problem and replaced my tie rod end for a very reasonable price. only about $40. Here is where it started to go wrong. The problem was fixed for about 2 weeks and my front end started to squeak again. I took my vehicle into a different shop and they found that the part yost put in was super cheap and had neglected to see that my opposite tie rod end was totally destroyed. To miss it, the technician must have overlooked it, or not checked it at all. It cost me $235 bucks to fix the problem correctly. I am ok with paying good money for quality work. Yost seems to be good at keeping it cheap, but the quality of their work is sub par. Great customer service, but I would rather deal with a crusty old technician that knows his stuff, then have to return every couple of months to fix problems that any all service automotive shop worth their salt should be able to repair the first time.

When I realized my car was leaking antifreeze the moment I would put it into the reserve, I knew I had a big problem on my hands. Yost handles my companys cars and since they were right down the street from us, I thought Id give them a shot. I certainly had a problem! Russ called to tell me my radiator was busted clear through on a corner. It was a pricey fix, but after comparing parts prices at autozone, I decided to go with Yost. As I came to pick up my car and reluctantly hand over the money it takes to replace a radiator, Russ came into the lobby and asked if Id like to see the part he replaced. I thought that was a very honest and commendable thing to do. He took me back into the shop and explained the whole process, and even pointed out a few other minor things he saw and took care of. His honesty and willingness to educate me on the process was a highpoint of my experience. Not to mention the entire team was friendly, efficient, and sweet. I took my car in at noon and had it back by 5:30pm! Unbelievable service on a Friday! Wonderful place!

Called over to Yost because our 2013 Ford Explorer was not starting, we initially thought battery and was told by Autozone that it wasnt the battery but the alternator so after a few google searches and several reviews we end up with Yost. We called and spoke to Brian, who was an amazing help, he quoted us some prices so we decided to bring the car in. From the moment we walked in every single employee was very friendly and so personable, they interacted with my myself, husband, and daughter throughout our entire time we were there, they got our truck in super quick and within 15 minutes came out with the best news we can hear, its not the alternator but only the battery. They fixed us up within 30 minutes for a great price and we could not be more happier. I HIGHLY recommend Yost to any and everybody and although I hope to not have an future car issues, if I do and we are in Wichita, this is our go to #1 place! Thanks so much to every single employee at Yost!!

I cant say enough good things about this business. Yost Auto has taken fabulous care of all of my familys vehicles for a few years now. Every time we walk through the shops doors we are warmly greeted and treated like family. The owner, Mr. Russ Yost, is one of the nicest and most trustworthy guys youll ever meet. A couple months ago, I wanted to buy my first car. My dad told me about one that was in great condition and a great price that Yost was selling. I LOVED everything about the manual-drive car, but I had never driven stick. Russ Yost drove me and my dad out to a country road and took time out of his day to teach me how to drive stick-shift. I couldnt believe how patient he was with me! He made it clear that there was no pressure to drive the car - he just wanted to be sure I was comfortable driving it before I bought it. How many other owners would do that for a customer? ...Take your vehicle to Yost; itll be one of the best decisions you ever make.:)
