Personnel the day of pick-up was friendly and efficient. However, thats where anything good about this experience ended. Van was extremely uncomfortable to drive. The brake pedal was so high I had to lift my leg up to the steering wheel just to press it and Im a 60" person. This affected reaction time and could have constituted a serious hazard on the road, especially when it started raining halfway through our trip. Seats were a joke, a metal wall was installed right behind the seat so it could not be moved or leaned forward or back, so I was pressed up against the wheel. After an hour of driving I felt like my leg was going to break trying to use the pedals. Take pictures of your dash board before and after because they WILL tack on miles. We went on a 160 mile round trip and they invoiced me at 470 miles!! Because of this, I was charged $110 more than originally quoted. I will never be using Uhaul again as this has not been my first bad experience with them. I will stick to using Enterprise and I suggest that anyone reading this do the same! EDIT - after posting this review, I was contacted by management that stated they did overcharge me due to a "mileage oversight" but instead of simply refunding the difference, they sent a new invoice for the correct amount and CHARGED ME AGAIN for the new invoice, telling me I have to wait up to 5 days to get the money from the original invoice back! They now have $565 of my money tied up for what theyre telling me will be up to almost a week!!

As you can see I rated the UHaul store on Dixie Highway in Erlanger / Elsmere a 1 star because you cant give a ZERO rating. All I needed was a trailer hitch installed to haul a bike rack. Should have been no big deal. I scheduled the appointment and paid online in advance. Show up last Saturday for the appointment and they inform us the installer is there and we have to reschedule, but the general manager offers to refund us 10% once we come back. So I go back today for our rescheduled appointment and I was even early for it. The counter guy says let me get the installer for you. The installer comes out and says I dont do installations after 3. Even though I called earlier to confirm. His answer for that was oh when you call you may not be talking to someone here and they are instructed to just say okay to anything and just let the stores deal with the upset and annoyed customers. I tell him since he is refusing to do the work to just give me a refund and he says he cant. Well cut to the end I did finally end up getting a refund. Never seen a company run like this before in my life. I know others may have had success here, but Im not one of them.

U-haul makes every effort to deny any responsibility whatsoever regardless of what your problem might be. Be especially mindfukll of any insurance you "have to take" as the equipment condition may be poor and claimed against you! AND you will not be told this has happened!! The local uhaul rep tells you to call customer service at uhaul national (they do not willingly give you the phone number, you have to ask for it) and at the c/s main office they will play a loop tape with very loud music (which put me on hold for almost 33 minutes!) thanking you for waiting so patiently ... but they will offer no help with ANY problem you may have. The c/s rep will listen to your problem then tell you they not really c/s rep and that you need to speak with one to solve your problem! Another transfer and more wait time! If you must use this firm I recommend you use cash for all transactions as this is absolute with no hidden fees of any type or kind. I, personally, will take my business elsewhere should the need arise, I strongly suggest you do the same. There is more than just u-haul out there for your moving and storage needs.

Went to ask about pricing on a rental, the older gentlemen at the front desk rudley demanded that I reserve a rental, i said ok (because i figured he was just some cranky older guy and thats just the way he acted.) well i come back the next day go to pick up my rental, I have the pleasure of speaking with the same fellow, trying to ignore his attitude i ask to speak with his younger co-worker, to my surprise he had the same attitude! They both were getting short with me over the littlest things such as pulling my phone out to give them a secondary phobe number, after a few minutes of enduring their humiliation i up and told them that they were a bunch of assholes and to give me my liscense back that i will not be using their services, they did not like that very much because the both of them proceeded to run their mouths in a very unprofessional manner, i was erked off at first but as soon as i got in my car i could not help but laugh at these idiots.

I moved to Kentucky from Iowa with my boyfriend and needed a truck a month later to get my things from our storage unit to our apartment. Reserved the truck for a 10 foot for 4 hours with 99 cents per mile. Fine. 19.99 plus about 5 dollars for the mileage. 5 dollars for gas. Well they asked for 50$ when I got there which in WAY over. Then we asked if we could pay in cash because we dont have a bank account in Kentucky yet. They said if we do that, our 30$ rental will turn into a 100$ MINIMUM. No. On top of that, the manager was rude and I cancelled my order and got a friend with a truck for 10$ CASH. They try and take advantage of their customers because we look like first time movers. Okay. No thank you.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I had a reservation at 645 but was running a tad late due to a wedding. I tried to call and let them know I was running late, but no one answered. When I got there at 7 a worker was walking out. Getting ready to leave. I asked if there was a way to get the truck now and he said no very rudely and slammed his car door shut in my face. Absolutely rude! I tried to ask him another question and he drove off ignoring me.

Not pleased with truck rental services and lack of good customer service. I was overcharged on 4 hr truck rental. Was promised call back after investigation as to why over charged. Never happened i had to call back 3x to get a refund. Told each time would get call. Terrible service. Filled out complaint to corp office in AZ and received no response. Will never use again!

Theyre direct and to the point but provide reliable and reasonably priced service. This is where I will go for all my moving needs from here on out. Clean and well maintained vehicles that have tie points inside the storage area of the vehicle. Very important for keep big things in place and delicate things from bouncing about. Thanks UHAUL!

I had a great, albeit brief experience here. I reserved and checked in online which speeds up the process. Roy greeted me promptly upon arrival and was very helpful. He was direct and succinct while also being polite. Pickup was smooth and the 10 truck was in great shape. Did a night drop so that part was extremely easy also.
