Aamco on Preston replaced the transmission our Lincoln LS. It cost $2050 which was expensive based on their initial estimate of $1600-$1800. And when they dropped the exhaust to remove the transmission, they failed to unattach the wiring to the O2 sensors. So all the wiring was "ripped-out". And when we started the car at their shop (first time since they did work) a light about the O2 Sensor came on. It had NEVER turned-on before. We pointed this out to them and they IGNORED our complaint. They just stared at us like blank zombies. The next day the car broke-down on the highway and we recieved a quote for $1082 to replace the 02 sensors and wiring system. We complained to Aamco and they refused to take responsibility. Fortunately VISA is charging aamco back for the $1082 its costing us to fix the parts they damaged. So if you are asking me, I will tell you to avoid this shop. They did not stand behind their work. Mistakes happen, but it is how we respond to mistakes that makes a good shop or bad shop. This is NOT A GOOD SHOP!! !!!! AVOID !!!!

Recently bought a car with a CVT transmission that started making noise. Luckily I bought a 3rd party warranty policy through my credit union. Staff was excellent in diagnosing the problem and working with the warranty company to quickly get the proper approvals for repair/replacement. With final approval coming on a Friday, I was expecting to be without my car until at least mid-week. But they were able to acquire all the parts needed before hand, and I had my car back the next business day! THANKS GUYS!

We were visiting Louisville from Omaha when we had car trouble. We took our car to another place in town and they could not determine what was wrong with it. Herb and the staff at this location thoroughly examined the car, discovered what was wrong with it, and stayed past closing time to fix it so we could get on the road and back home. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, and caring. We were very appreciative of the help we received at a very reasonable price.

Yellow Cab & Ambulance of Louisville has used this Aamco store exclusively for more than 3 years with excellent service and craftsmanship. Store management is courteous, prompt, & honest, all traits that vendors should strive for every day. I highly recommend to anyone with a large Fleet or a single vehicle with transmission issues to not waste time with other transmission shops, this one will treat you right the first time!

Herb Scales & AAMCO Transmission saved the day for me. Had just sunk 5K into having engine rebuilt. The following week transmission went out. AAMCO not only honored the life time warranty but did a great job & had it done as quickly as possible. Certainly looking forward to doing business with them in future & highly recommend to any in need of quality professional service.

Well it took 2 days but I got my car fixed for $1130 LESS than what,someone else was trying to charge me to rebuild my transmission instead of just fixing the problem. Im sooo greatful to them for not taking advantage of me because im a girl. I definitely dont know about cars but Id rather pay the lesser price any day. Thank you soooo much Aamco guys!!!

John has the best automotive customer service in town bar none!!! His prices are very reasonable and his mechanics are very experienced. From the moment the car is dropped off, till the time it is ready for pickup, they are professional all the way. Hes an outstanding guy and I would recommend his auto shop to anyone.

Paid nearly $500 to fix my car because it was shaking really bad... Day after I got it back it started shaking again, took it back to them and was informed that I needed to pay another $300... "They thought this part might be bad but fixed something else to try and save me money" not happy at all

there services are horrible the owner rude and unprofessional they did not fix my car and charged me almost 2000 dollars ripped me off for my car and made problems with my car ... my car was better off before i took it there ........i repeat dont go there.... they are a huge disappointment..

I recommend if you need transmission work done take it to Herb. The shop is well kept, they do what they say they will do, on time and dont mess with the quoted price. You cant ask for much more than that.
