I have been going to Precision Tune Auto Care since I moved to Baton Rouge back in 2009 - 2010 in order to get my car inspected every year and never had a problem with getting a passing inspection. However, recently I went to get my car inspected and was told my car, which is a 2005 toyota(a new car purchased back in 2005), did not pass inspection due to a communication failure with the OBD(computer diagnostic system). So, I was told that I may have to bring the problem to toyota and have them repair something in my car and that it maybe a blown fuse or some other problem, which made me very concerned at that point! Even though, I didnt notice anything/nor did I have any symptoms relating to a possible diagnostic issue. After having toyota inspect my car for nearly 1.5hr/more, the service tech informed me that nothing was ever wrong or incorrect with my OBD computer system. I was provided with additional paperwork with the passing results, etc. Then 2 days later, I went back to Precision Tune Auto Care and presented my additional paperwork to the inspector and informed him of what they found. So, he didnt say anything and immediately began to look at my car, yet again, and after a few minutes the inspector let me know that my car was ready and passed inspection. Now, I initially had to pay $18 for the inspection, then another almost $60 to toyota, for a mistake that was completely false/inaccurate from the very beginning! Im not sure if the inspector just didnt read the machine correctly or what caused him to make me be inconvience, in both my time and additional money, but I think it was very unfair, especially his attitude/deameanor was rude and extremely unprofessional throughout the entire situation. Even though I had been a faithful customer of Precision Tune Auto Care on S. Sherwood Forest Blvd for my yearly inspections; I would not want anyone else to experience the same distressing situation that was due to this establishment.

I was extremely disappointed. Came here after the good reviews as I havent ever had need for a mechanic in Baton Rouge. I went in and explained the problem Im having with my brakes. Before Id even finished describing it, it seems the mechanics had already decided it was a problem with the brake pads even though those symptoms are in no way the problems Im having with my brakes. After checking the car for over 30 minutes, they came back with a ridiculously priced brake pad change diagnoses. I told them no thank you and to please just put my wheels back on and Id look elsewhere. On my way home I heard a thudding sound around my rear tires Id not heard before. They reattached a wheel improperly and it is SHEER LUCK that it didnt roll off during the day when I was driving my car back home because it was possible to break the nuts by hand that night when we tried to see what was going on with the wheel. Terrible service, they did not listen at all to what I had to say about what the problem with my car was, they treated me condescendingly and they endangered my life with their negligence.

This place is a rip off. I just went an had a service done on my 2015 Kia Sedona and was charged over $100 before the guy decided to give me a $15 discount because I was upset about the price. I have had service done on my vehicle before. I know how much an oil change is for my vehicle. He told me that they have always charged almost $90 for a full synthetic oil change, but mind you I brought my own filter from the dealership. After I left, because I had made mention of how much I have paid before to have my vehicle serviced at the dealership, the guy calls the dealership and then turns around and calls me to tell me that he is cheaper than the dealership. Yet, that might be true for the local dealership, but I have been to three other dealerships and that is not what they charge. I also called another local shop for a price quote for the same service and they were almost $30 CHEAPER. This place is such a rip off and I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN. Fool me once, shame on me. You will not do it again.

Went in after a quoted price given over the phone for what I needed done, when I got there, I was given a price range... I knew what I needed done to my vehicle from the beginning and thats exactly what I asked for NOTHING more. Steven decides to take it upon himself instead of just changing out what was needed (i had paperwork) and I requested, to have the mechanics make up other things to pad my invoice with, I receive a phone call with a new price of almost $400 with something I DID NOT need. He tried to hustle me for money and got pretty upset when I declined their service and said I was going to my dealer who was WAY cheaper ( I came here bc I travel with work and needed a sooner appointment than the dealership had given me). I have referred dozens of my clients and coworkers here in the past, I will be sure to tell the ones who have come here to NEVER return, this place is NOT to be trusted!!!

This is one of the better shops in town. They have good management, and the mechanics are well trained and most importantly, they really do care about the quality of work they deliver. I have been using them for several years and they are always my first stop for both routine and other maintenance. I supervised the maintenance shops and the mechanics in armored units that I served in for over 5 years in the army, and if you walk into Precision Tunes shop you will see the indicators that confirm that they are good - really good. Tools are in good shape, the shop is clean, and they continue to seek additional training even though they are experienced and well qualified for what they do. Perhaps most importantly, they are honest and you can take what they tell you as being the truth.

My car broke down the day before the 4th of July, so I stop by this auto shop to have my car inspected. It was in the late afternoon and the shop was already closed when I show up for a car repair, but the mechanics were very helpful and not hesitate to spend extra time trying to help me out. I had to leave my car at the shop, because the radiator was leaking and the guy who work there offering me a ride home. Im glad I have made the right decision by letting them servicing my car. I am very pleased and very satisfied with the quality of their craftsmanships and customer services. I am highly recommending Precision Tune Auto Care for your car repairs and will definitely be returning to this shop again!

These guys have been straight with me since day 1 and have done work at an affordable cost without ever even trying to give me the run-around or squeeze me for extra cash whilst holding my vehicle hostage, and thats more than I can say about most mechanics. This is the right place to go if you want to avoid the BS that most mechanics give you and you just want to get your car fixed as quickly as possible. Theyre open past 5 for people who dont get off work until late in the day and theyre also very polite, which once again goes against the norm for what you usually get at an auto shop. If you need some work done on your car and have this shop closeby, I would highly reccommend doing business with them.
