I just moved to Baton Rouge and my car wouldnt start. Turns out I needed a new alternator. I call a few mechanics and this one had the most reasonable price for this fix. I ask them to give my car a good look over and they suggest over $700 more in repairs. They claimed my valve gasket and oil pan gasket were leaking, my power steering fluid was leaking, and my rear transmission mount and front engine mount were broken/cracking. I got the alternator fixed then went to my family mechanic back home, whom I trust. Turns out nothing else was wrong with my car and all of those extra repairs were made up. Also, when they called me to tell me about these new repairs needed they asked if I wanted them to speak to my father since I probably wouldnt understand what they were talking about. I may not know much about cars but I sure as hell will start learning so I dont have to deal with that kind of condescension.

This place is amazing! Great customer service. I was dropping off my dog for surgery at the vet on Sherwood Forest when my car would NOT shift into drive. I called AAA and got it towed to Sherwood Car Care because it was the closest place. The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly and helpful, and the owner, Bob, offered to drive me to work (ALL THE WAY DOWNTOWN DURING RUSH HOUR) while they serviced my car. Before we got to work, the owner got a call - MY CAR WAS ALREADY FIXED!! We turned around, and I got my car back! All of the staff was extremely polite and friendly. They got my car in IMMEDIATELY (as opposed to Nissan dealership that said MAYBE they could fit it in the next 3 days), and fixed in in little time, with a decent price. They saved me having to rent a car for a few days!! I will use this business again and I am extremely picky about car repair!

If I could give these people 0 stars, this review would be more accurate. I called Sherwood Car Care after pricing several other repair facilities in the city. I liked the fact that they did repair work on Saturdays, as this was convenient for me. I needed to have my Clutch Master Cylinder and Slave cylinder replaced. When I called and explained what I needed done to my specific vehicle, the guy quoted me a price 4x higher than everyone else. I explained that according to the other shops, my year model car did not have to have transmission removed. He argued with me and said the repair would take eight hours and the transmission needed to be removed. It was clear to me that the guy that answered the phone wanted to take me for a ride. Beware!

THIS IS AN AMAZING PLACE ! TOOK MY CAR AFTER A RUN AROUND AT DEALERSHIP OVER A WEEK WAITING. THEY GOT ME IN AND DIAGNOSED WITHIN A CPL HRS AND IT WAS MAJOR REPAIRS BUT THEY ARE MORE THAN CAPABLE TO HANDLE EVEN THE BIG STUFF. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW MECHANIC. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. And their prices cant be beat! Had a unique situation with an extended warranty and it didnt work out to service shops benefit yet they were still super about it and worked with us to meet our needs not just their own profit. I felt like they cared more about helping us than making a buck. Praise God for integrity these days, its a rare find in business!!!

I have taken my 08 trailblazer to Sherwood Car Care for everything since the dealer warranty ran out. These folks are at the top of their game. I trust them completely. Since I am a widow, it makes me feel great to know I have an honest business that I can depend on to keep my car safe on the road. My patients depend on me to be there for them, so it is a win-win for us both. All of the employees are GREAT!!!!

Travelling to Tyler, Texas for the holiday weekend and my dad had a blow out on his camper. We were able to make it to their shop for repairs. They had all 4 of the tires he wanted, as he decided not to take any chances and replace them all, and they had us in and out in about 45mins. Now thats what I call customer service. Great job guys! Thanks for all of your help.

Had appointment to have brake work done but my brakes failed two days earlier than my appointment. Was close by so I brought it in. They took me right away, gave me an estimate and several options that would fit my budget. Very courteous. Price was reasonable when compared to other service shops. I plan on going back to have my back brakes done later.

They did not Grease my fittings ,did not put Permatex on the bolt threads which i provided ,an in the process my shock absorbers were disconnected BC its nuts backed off of theyre bolts .my coil spring clip is missing an the sway bar link was over tightened. the alignment they gave me was not straight at all
