The Property Manager Ray has excellent Customer Service skills. He was very professional, greeted me at the door and made me feel like I made a very good decision to rent a storage unit at this particular Public Storage. I was inquiring about renting a storage unit at the Public Storage further down Central Avenue, but when I saw the prices and checked with the Cheverly location, I was truly amazed. I completed my information online and received an email. Ray called me but I was not available, so I called back and his professionalism was very good. He answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable to rent a storage unit. When I visited the office in person, he took me to see the unit that I would be renting and described everything to me in detail. And he is such a gentleman. He was saying "Yes Maam to me and would hold the door as I walked through. He asked how was my day and that really made me feel good. After a long busy day at work, it was nice to hear someone ask how was my day. I would recommend my family and friends to the Cheverly Public Storage and tell them to see Ray and that he would take very good care of them.

Cons - This is not a climate controlled facility. It gets very hot and very cold and everything in between. - Doors to the out door units are not sealed. Expect dust, leaves and anything that can make thru on your valuables. Do not put valuables by the door. They will get wet. - Do not count on using the toilets, because you never know when it is available. - The property is run down compared to newer facilities. - The lighting is poor. - Rain water gets into the interior hallways. - Outdoor drainage hole cover is broken. A major hazard, which has gone unprepared for months, now. - Overloaded dumpster attracts raccoon and other rodents. - Every year your rent will increase. - You cant get into facility after the 5th of the month if you have not paid your rent. - High late fees if payment is received after the 15th of the month. - Do not bother negotiating with them for late fees. They wont budge. Pros - The staff is OK. They will try to assist you with basic questions. - The staff will call you to remind you when your bill is due.

I used Public Storage in Dec 2013 and I worked with your property manager Nicole Grier. Ms. Grier was very knowledgeable, helpful and had the type of customer service that makes you come back and tell your good friends and family about. I was apprehensive about my exact needs and storage facilities in general and Nicole was patient with me and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting myself into.Plus, I wasnt rushed, Nicole made me feel like a priority and not just another customer. I have since moved to NC but whenever I have storage needs I always think of Public Storage because of the experience I had with Nicole at your facility. (20446)

Had a awesome experience today, went in to get a unit greeted with a smile by a young lady named Tia, she showed me exceptional service. While viewing the area i would store my belongings I couldnt help but to notice how clean the place was. They had carts so I wouldnt have to make so many trips back and forth to my truck, lord knows this was my biggest concern since i would ne doing this alone. Problem solved. Tia you were great thanks for putting my mind at ease since I didnt know what to expect. Great knowing there are still good people who care about providing great experiences for people!!!! -April

Ive been storing my belongings here for at least 2 years and the staff especially nicole has always been wonderful and professional. Theres one particular incident that Ill never forget that nicole assisted me with I received a notice to increase my monthly bill and I was very upset and belligerent. however nicole stayed very professional and walk me through the whole process to let me know why the increase happened she remained calm throughout the whole conversation and that really set home with me because customer service is the number one thing that any company to benefit from.

When i moved into my unit, Ray helped me fine the space that would accommodate my needs. When my reservation was made by the corporate office, they gave me a unit that wasnt big enough. Ray went out of way showing me different units until we found one that would hold all of my things. Ray was very friendly, he asked me if i had any questions that he could answer, one thing led to another and i found out that Ray likes a different football team than i do. Overall Ray help me out with everything and we still chat about football if our paths cross when im at my unit. Thanks Ray!

I visited this location and had the great pleasure of meeting Nicole. I was very unfamiliar with the whole storage process as Ive never had to use storage before. Nicole was very helpful and polite, she answered all of my questions and did not rush the process. I was a bit indecisive because I had no idea what I needed but I was glad I made the decision to visit this facility because she made it a very easy and smooth process. I would definietly recommend to anyone in need of storage to visit Nicole at this facility.

I have had storage with the Cheverly facility for over three years. All of my experiences have been very positive. Nicole and the rest of the Public Storage staff are always friendly, courteous and professional. They are very knowledgeable about the storage business and are always so willing to help and be of service to their customers. Just yesterday, I emptied my storage unit and Nicole was right there being as helpful as ever. Thanks to the entire Pubic Storage staff for their personal touch.

Came to the property inquiring about storing my home. I was referred by mutual customer. When I met and talked to her she reassured me after I was leary to store my most personal belongings. She let me know of the different ways to guarantee they will be ok. She was great. I was so stressed out about my storage unit going to auction due to a balance on my account until I spoke with Tia. OMG she was amazing; not only was she polite, patient and soft spoken she also reassured me that everything would be okay. I payed my balance in full, moved my items into a smaller unit that I could better afford and left feeling like I was a valued customer. Just think I almost gave up on Public Storage!
