I now have mixed feelings about this "no judgement zone" gym. I have been using Planet Fitness for over a year now and there are just some things that disappoint me. In one aspect, I feel as if the available equipment is not very plentiful. Now, dont get me wrong, there are plenty of treadmills and ellipticals, but one thing that is pretty basic in my opinion is just a simple bar with weights on a rack so you can modify your weight. This may not be something that upsets everyone but i personally am not a huge fan of their bars that are set on the tracks because it does not allow me to have any type of flexibility. Now, onto my biggest complaint. Although his gym claims to be a "no judgement zone" I feel pretty judged when I am there; not judged by the fellow members, but by the policy of Planet Fitness. For example, many of us can agree that sometimes we work hard to push our limits and to lift something out of our comfort zone, I tried to power clean a weight that was 10 pounds more than my usual and as I went to set the weight on the ground it slipped out of my hands from about 1.5 feet from the ground. Soon after the weight hit the floor the "Lunk Alarm" started to go off. As for those who dont know what this means, it is an alarm that goes off when ever someone drops a weight, grunts, or does anything of that nature. Many people who work out know that grunting is something that can just happen when you are working hard and it makes you get more power to get through that last rep. In my opinion, I think this "Lunk Alarm" is the most judgmental thing that would ever be inside this gym. When I was at the gym one morning, wearing what I wore to the gym any other day, a pair of spandex and an athletic tank top, I was approached by one of the lovely workers who began to explain to me that I can not wear spandex to Planet Fitness. She also said that she just didnt want me to receive the "wrong attention" by my clothing and that I was a distraction to others. Once again, I feel that this is a form of judgement. Another point I have to make is that if someone complained saying my clothing was distracting, shouldnt they have the "Lunk Alarm" go off on them too for judging me for my attire? This is just a prime thing that reminds me that in todays society we are teacher are women to cover up instead of teaching our men to not rape or commit sexual offences. On another note, I saw two other in shape women wearing spandex as shorts as well as me and they were not approached like I was. I feel as if Planet Fitness should not advertise their "No Judgement" if the company has judgement policies that lash out at some of their members. I assure that when I return from college I will be a member at Golds gym because they just have what I am looking for. As for the people who feel like they will only use the treadmills at a gym, Planet Fitness is a good option for you, just remember not to wear only spandex as shorts because you will be judged. On a good note, I thing this gym has many things for people to start getting in shape but if you get to a point where you "out grow" some of the equipment, as I feel, dont be afraid to switch to another location.

For a gym that prides itself on no pressure from co-gym members, doesnt seem to have a problem with people being treated like crap from its staff. I went there a total of 2 times, both times they couldnt find me in the system and suggested I go during the day to resolve it...nighttime schedule was the reason I joined.. After being turned away twice, I assume they dropped the ball on my membership and just walked away from it....months down the road, my wife was having an issue with her account, somehow my account came up in the conversation and to find out I was in the system and had been paying for almost a year. I admit it is my fault for not checking my bank account for the charge sooner but when I mentioned all the problems to the current staff on hand, they were unfazed by any of it...I already had a new membership with Merrit (highly recommend) and didnt even notice the $20 a month debit...do yourself a favor, pay the extra money and go to a real gym, avoid these clowns.

I really liked this gym until recently. I carry my gym bag with me all over the gym because I dont have a lock and Ive had people steal things from my locker before and no ones ever told me I cant. I came in with a weighted vest and was told I couldnt wear it because its considered outside equipment I was upset but dealt with it. Then when I put it in my gym bag I was told I couldnt put it in my bag that I had to put it Inn a locker which I didnt wanna do but was told I had to. Not very happy about this policy.

I love Planet Fitness!! The staff is very friendly and encouraging. Whenever I need help someone is always there to offer assistance. I actually left Planet Fitness to go to Golds and I went back. The environment is more friendly and so is the staff. For the price the equipment is great and I lost 35 pounds going there. I wouldnt change a thing.

Its a great place to work out and the staff are usually helpful. I can always find equipment to work out on. Clean environment. A little small, so it gets crowded during rush times. A lot of the times, as Im either leaving or coming in, the staff is nowhere to be found or theyre eating in the relaxation room.

Horrible Experience! You have employees who actually get attitudes when ask questions.... Ppl ask what you to believe to be stupid questions all thee time dont like it - QUIT. Simple!!! I didnt like I terminated my membership. Nothing like the Y!!!

A bit too crowded in the evenings. I guess word has gotten out about a $10/month gym. By the way, dont let your credit card expire or youll be paying $20/month without any warning (read the fine print).

Great PF location! Transferred here a few weeks ago and have no complaints. Front desk is nice. Patrons are all nice and considerate. The place itself is clean and kept well.

Just like all the Planet Fitness gyms, this one is well maintained. I always prefer to go late when there arent a lot of people in the gym.
