DO NOT trust this shop to work on your car. The mechanics here are completely incompetent, and I very narrowly avoided a major accident due to their "repairs." My car had significant suspension damage after it went over a median in an accident. Originally, I took the car to National Tire and Battery, which estimated the repairs would be $2100. When we decided to go through insurance, we had to take the car here because theyre partnered with USAA. Gerber estimated the repairs would be $230. Based on NTBs estimate, we knew this couldnt be right. We called Gerber and told them everything NTB had told us about the damage. We spoke to a mechanic, and told him that the strut had gone through the housing, the upper and lower control arms were bent, and the strut fork needed to be replaced. He told us he had been doing this for 27 years, he knows what hes doing, and he "disagreed" with NTBs assessment. Gerber insisted the strut fork was the only part that needed to be replaced. They replaced the strut fork and... surprise, surprise, it still didnt work. I waited a week for them to order and replace another part (they didnt tell me which one), and it still wasnt fixed. Then they decided to replace essentially everything on the left front suspension, just like NTB had said. So I waited another week for that to happen, then got my car back. It seemed to drive okay when I got it back, except when I accelerated from a dead stop you could tell there wasnt any traction in the left front tire. I didnt want to take my car back to Gerber and have no transportation for another month, so I decided to keep driving it and just keep an eye on whether it got any worse. Five weeks after I got my car back from Gerber, the suspension suddenly failed while I was driving on the highway. I didnt go over a pothole, I didnt run over anything, it just gave out. My front left wheel locked up and wouldnt turn. I somehow (miraculously) managed to pull my car over onto the shoulder without hitting anyone, although I came within inches of doing so. I was forced (by USAA) to bring my car back to Gerber since the repairs were under warranty. They admitted that the suspension failure was their fault, due to a loose bolt on the lower control arm. The manager spoke to my parents about the repairs (since they are the policy holders on our insurance), but never bothered to call me and apologize for what happened. (He claims my parents told him not to contact me, which is a lie.) I never spoke to him until I came to the shop to pick up my car, and he acted like the whole thing was a joke. He told me I should be smiling. I guess they dont care that their negligence could have seriously injured me, as long as they dont get sued for it. I will update this review when this round of repairs inevitably fails, assuming I dont end up in the hospital next time.

A gentleman hit my BRAND NEW 2015 Chrysler 200S, and USAA referred me to Gerber Glass and Collision. I immediately began looking for reviews on this location; and sadly I found a review that made me question USAA’s referral. I immediately called the manager of Gerber to get some type of peace of mind. He assured me I had nothing to worry about, and promised me he would take care of my vehicle. I decided to trust that USAA would not just refer me to just any place, and I felt the manager was an honest man; so I dropped my vehicle off on Monday, and the ladies in the office informed me the repair would take about two weeks. To my surprise, two days later on Wednesday, I received a call from the shop stating my vehicle was complete. This caught me off guard in a wonderful way! I picked up my vehicle, and it looked brand new. They even went out of their way to fix a scratch in my hood!! The outside was clean, and the inside was vacuumed! Plus, they guarantee their work for life! I am very impressed by Gerber Glass and Collision, and I will definitely refer anyone to them with confidence knowing they will be taken care of! The Manager is a great guy, really down to earth, and he literally kept his word! I am impressed, and feel like they took care of me! The ladies in the office (clearly) love what they do. The environment was light and positive! Definitely glad I trusted in USAA. Gerber Collision and Glass has a new customer for life!

The staff was polite and kept me updated on the status of my car, but the good stops there. While getting my hood and bumper repaired, a mysterious $430 repair cropped up. Apparently, the motor for my driver-side mirror - which had never given me any trouble before - managed to wear itself out so badly that my window "wouldnt roll up." I was assured it wasnt a result of the accident, and so that money was coming out of my pocket. I really have no way of knowing if they actually did anything, since the problem appeared out of thin air in the week my car was at their shop. Second, this place is very expensive. Other places nearby with equally good reviews quoted me nearly $2000 less than this place (in Maryland the estimate has to closely match the actual cost of the repair). I ended up using this place anyway since they were approved by my insurance company, but I cant recommend it. Finally, there are several, admittedly small, scratches near the areas where the repair was done. Alone, theyre not that big of a deal, but taken together with everything else, it just contributes to the feeling that this place just isnt worth your time or money.

I just wanted to thank Andrew and the shop for doing a wonderful job fixing my car after someone hit me on 695. They gave me a timeline, walked through the entire car with me and went over everything every step. They did a good job of matching the paint and finished the car a few days early. They called me once/twice a week to tell me what they were doing and where the car was at. After the car was picked up they called to check in and make sure everything was still good. I would high recommend the Jessup location.

They finished my repairs ahead of schedule, worked with USAA and Enterprise to make sure all payments and the rental were arranged. Everything went extremely smooth with little work on my end. Would recommend!
