It was Christmas 2012 and I had family visiting my house in Catonsville. The shower in the basement began to get backed up with sewage. The Roto-rooter plumber came out the very next day and snaked the drain out, saying there were a lot of roots from the tree in my front yard which were clogging up the pipes. They had a team with a fiber optic camera come out to investigate the damage a few days later, and they told me the terracotta pipes were half collapsed and they were surprised my plumping was still working. I crossed my fingers that the pipes would keep working while I saved up money to have them replaced. Fast forward 20 months to August 2012 and the basement shower started to back up again. The very next day Roto-rooter came to give us an estimate, and the following day a whole team showed up the excavate the front lawn. They took care of everything, and were very considerate of the fact that I work nights and needed to sleep all day. Our plumping is working great now. The magnolia tree in our front yard, the cause of the whole issue, took quite a beating to its roots and branches (some had to be cut down, which we were warned about). We thought the tree would survive easily, but then after they started excavating they realized our pipes made a turn which required more excavation that we originally anticipated. Hopefully the tree will survive. I wasnt quite prepared for how tore up our lawn would be, they put seed and straw down. They did leave a bush that was uprooted just lying there, but that wasnt too hard to replant it myself. Compared to other companies in Baltimore who gave me estimates, Roto-rooter was the cheapest. Overall I am quite happy with their service.

Unbelievable service from 2158 - LP and Jason Nelson. I called as pipe burst whilst using washer. I couldnt find place to turn off the water. Plumber came within 15 min and water service restorer/manager came 15 min later. The efficiency with which the whole matter was handled was comforting and amazing. The plumber finished his work quickly installing new parts for damaged ones. I was informed of everything that was being done as the clean up and dry out work proceeded. Jason made contact with my insurance company (9:00 pm) and spoke to them at length on 2 occasions and all of this occurred between 8:00p. and midnight. The organization of all the work that was done was quick, clean and precise. Now onto Bret 4707 and Jake 2445 worked at my house tirelessly, two 16 hour days. They were unbelievably quiet considering they had lots of demolition to do. They cleaned up as they carried out each piece of demolition. They were constantly taking photos and measuring for water (all in preparation for insurance information) They barely stopped for my than 5 min to drink water. They were extremely neat and courteous and answered all of my questions. They even worked whilst we slept and when we woke in the morning the house was spotless. I cant recommend Rotor rooter enough for having such amazing workers. These were two of the hardest working young men I have ever come across. Thanks- Ellen Y

The plumber who stayed till midnight the first night was great. The other staff I dealt with were all professional and courteous and friendly and I had no issues at all with anyone. It was clear the terracotta line was busted. While not happy about the unexpected sewer line replacement, I did know from neighbors that had replaced their sewer lines that the price was on the high end, but not unreasonably so and it was a holiday weekend. And a couple neighbors who did pay less did not have the same level of timeliness and care filling the trench and restoring the landscaping, and had to do a lot of work on their own to level things out. Given I had a backup with sewage in the house on Thursday that they cleared, and that I had working water and sewer by Saturday afternoon, I cannot complain. We will see just how the lawn comes back, but given the heavy equipment and heat, they did a lot to get it somewhere close to what it was. I wish it were cheaper but again, for the Baltimore area, I cannot complain about the employees nor the quality of the work nor their speediness and attention to detail.

This is now the ONLY place I will use for future plumbing needs! Ive had awful experiences with plumbers in the past, and I have to say that every single person I dealt with at Roto Rooter was the utmost professional, were able to quickly figure out what the problem was, and worked diligently to fix it. This particular job involved an excavation, and I was terrified at the thought of someone ripping up my concrete floor and digging... these guys took such care to only damage the tiles that were directly affected, and they actually left the area they worked in cleaner than when they arrived! I have to give a shout out to the actual techs who did the work too - they were all simply amazing! Dwayne Campbell, Doug Pope, Josh Kramer, Danny Walker (#651), Jason Nelson (#1599), Jeff Hartridge (#1158), and Jake Davis (#0969). Not only did they do excellent work, but they made what could have been an absolute pain in the ____ a much more enjoyable and less stressful experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone, and would also recommend requesting one of the amazing techs I listed above.

FRIDAY FIESTA, I arrived to work at 6am Friday morning to get a report that there was a toilet clog in one of our bathrooms. This particular bathroom had a shower stall in it. Upon my arrival to the scene, there was water bubbling out of the shower drain, out from under the toilet, and out from another toilet in the facility. The bathroom was flooded, the carpet outside the bathroom and the adjacent office was soaked and squishy, and it was way before normal business hours. I immediately called Roto Rooter in Jessup because they had helped me in other emergency situations in the past. The drain tech was on site within a half hour, the camera pipe inspector was right behind him, and the clean-up restoration task force was right behind him. Impressive time response, problem diagnosis/solution, and recovery. Everything was fixed, cleaned, and put back to normal by noon. Not a great way to start the day, but Roto Rooter was a rest of the day saver. My thanks to the entire team.

First off...Josuè tech#3607 was amazing! Great guy, great service, and super friendly. I had a sewage back up around 11pm Saturday and knew I wouldnt be able to sleep if something wasnt done (Im a huge worrier) so I called roto-rooter and asked how much it would be to come out and look at my issue. Ive never used them before and was shocked to find out it was free...awesome! Unfortunately they werent sure if they could do anything for me that night seeing as a storm just hit and they were swamped. I understood and just asked to see what they could do for me. Josué called me in 20 minutes saying he would be there in 30. Great response time! Long story short I needed my line snaked and was more then happy with the service I received. I will definitely be referring friends and family to this company. Im sure there are other good technicians within this company but I highly suggest Josuè!
