We called because motor in heater went out in home. This is the second time it need to be replaced with in 2 yrs. First time work was done the tech was very polite end efficient. But this last tech was the completely opposite. First strike was the tech was rude and pushy with my elderly mother, second strike when tech was in home. He was cussing like a sailor and very rude demeanor. I took it that he didnt want to take an on call service call. But the temperature dropped so quickly it was something I could look past. So upon beginning of repair I gave some background information about the issue. The tech seemed to care even less about what I had to say. At that point I just stayed clear of him. While he was attempting to take screws out heater which seemed like a difficult task for him he kept running in and out house slamming doors, stomping up and down stairs, tracking dirt throughout my home with out a care in the world all the while swearing in frustration about doing his job! I even stayed patient throughout this entire time. Then he comes back upstairs to my living room and proceeds to use a flat head screw driver and ripped my thermostat off the wall saying its old and the entire heating system needs replaced.....confused to what tech was doing i ask whats going on and he yells "dont question me how to do my job" ! Really??? At this point I had a enough and proceeds to continue yelling! I asked tech to leave and he wouldnt leave but kept yelling! I demanded him to leave a second time, and this point he attempted to bait if i was going to swing on him??? At this point I dont know exactly what this man problem was but I wanted him out my house! Third time i requested him out my house there would be a big problem and runs back down stairs, slams my basement door, and attempted to crack my wooden basement smashing his tool box against it on his way out! The situation has me furious! So not only my thermostat has been damaged by tech, he never even looked at the original problem or motor for blower! I would not recommend this tech for any service and bowman should replace the damaged thermostat but all they did was recommend another company and never resolved issue.

On a Sunday night, at some point, my AC System went down. I called HL Bowman Inc at 7:00 am on Monday because of their locality and the other reviews. The gentleman on the phone said he could have a technician out at my place today, and would call back by mid morning with a more direct time frame. I was called back in less than 2 hrs with a technician on my door step by 9:30 am. George, the technician that was fixing our unit, was very friendly and professional, yet down to earth. You could tell he took pride in his job. He quickly found the issue, located the parts, gave me a reasonable quote, and left to go pick up the parts after confirmation. There was no upselling and no pressure. After his short departure, he was back installing everything we needed. The system was back up and running in a short time. Before finalizing his work, he checked out the unit for any other minor issues, as well, to be sure it was all in working order and not in need of further maintenance. Everything checked out. The end results were as promised and the cost of his work and the parts were under his original low quote, which was a bonus. I am in agreement with the other reviewers. HL Bowman Inc was quick and professional. Their work is quality and Id recommend them to anyone.

HL Bowman does great work. Its a smaller operation than the larger companies like McClure and the other Bowman. There are two "Bowmans" that do HVAC type work, GF Bowman and H L Bowman. GF Bowman, is much like McClure, larger company, prices are a little higher, not as personal of service, etc. Dont get them confused. H L Bowman is the better Bowman. They provide superior customer service than almost anybody. You call their office and you speak to the same people every time; they remember your name. The installers are extremely knowledgble and experienced. My uncle is an appliance dealer and knows the local HVAC market in and out. He highly reccommends HL Bowman. They installed a 95% efficiency furnace for me thats linked into my cental air, and everything works great. I got 4 estimates from other companies and they were the lowest. Believe me when I say that you really dont need to look any further than here for your furnace needs. I have no connection to them, im not out here to advertise for them. But I did the leg work and they are definitely the way to go.

If you guys need a good plumber, call Bowman. Two weeks ago, they were able to retrofit my furnace with a larger blower to prevent it from burning out again. And today they sent a plumbing surgeon to fix the leak under my shower that was dripping into a light fixture. He could have cut a giant swath of my ceiling, instead, he eyeballed the center of my drain in my bathroom, and then, like a magician, cut out a 10"x10" block of drywall, just big enough to pull out the original pipes and replace them. He put in good quality brass parts, unlike the PVC garbage that the original plumber used 4 years ago when my house was built. AND he cleaned up his mess, and there was a huge mess, drywall dust was EVERYWHERE. My family has always used Bowman for our apartment complexes, and they always do great work, but this was exceptional. If I could give you 6 stars, I would.

Our technician Jeremy just left after performing a basic AC service call. He was very professional and explained everything that he was doing. Being a first time homebuyer and never experiencing this before, it was very helpful. He was very knowledgeable and honest about his findings. He also talked highly of the company and seemed very happy as an employee. Overall the process from scheduling to customer service and the actual service was great. They were able to come out next day but that didnt work with my schedule. They were able to make it the day I needed them to come. Also, it was the least expensive out of all the companies I contacted. I am already planning to have them come back again next year.

I called for an estimate to get our new laundry sink installed. They did come promptly and on time for the estimate and emailed it to us the same day. The estimate seemed a bit high but was vague about job and the material and labor costs. I politely called and asked them to breakout just the material and the labor they were using for the estimate. They refused. I would have been happy to pay a higher cost for great quality work from a reliable company, if they had only explained to me what I was paying for. I believe in spending my hard earned money on a company that is open and upfront with me, not someone who comes across as cheating me out of it.

HL Bowman is a wonderful company to work with. Barring any crazy situation you get a same day appointment . The service team is very thorough and willing to explain the problem and their solution. They have reasonable prices and stand behind their products and service. There are not many companies like HL Bowman. I will not call anyone else to service my HVAC, or plumbing needs. George came out check on a water heater. He is professional, meticulous and nice person, people are not like that anymore. He is worth his weight is gold! You will not find another company like HL Bowman in the area.
