Recently got an E46 M3 as a dedicated track car. I had it inspected a specialized German performance shop who failed to see some serious issues with the car and ended up causing major damage to my differential. I brought it to York and couldnt be happier. They were able to do some major repairs on a short timetable to get the car ready for a track event I had already paid for. The owner races BMW and personally rebuilt my differential after the previous tech refused to admit his mistake. This is the only place Ill be bringing my M3 from now on!

Honest and fair. My first visit was to get a car inspected I was going to sell. The car failed the inspection, but York gained a very loyal customer. The owner did not treat me like a "woman with no clue" told me to get on the ground to look at the undercarriage of my car so he could explain the issues with me. I have been back many times and am still treated fairly and honestly. Work is done as promised, I always get a call to tell me how much and how long before anything is done.

My husbands been coming here for at least 2-3 years because he was referred to them for their "experience" with turbo charged cars. Come to find out they flat out lied to his face when he confronted them about replacing his spark plugs incorrectly, using some junk grease on the threads. He saw it for himself when we pulled them out and saw the grease AND the gap was way off, causing the car to idle hard and misfire. Never again!!! Take your business somewhere else!!!!

We first used York Automotive in 2001 and have been recommending them to our friends and acquaintances continuously ever since. Our York experience has been consistent for all of these years: honesty, top-notch service, very reasonable prices, and EXCELLENT communication, in laymans terms, about what the problems are and what options are available to address them. They will not recommend service you dont need. I simply cannot praise them highly enough.

Very friendly and professional crew. I had a heat shield issue that came up quickly. They squeezed me in during lunch at Cryin Johnnies (also recommend for hot dogs if youre in Mount Airy). I wish that I lived closer so that I could finally have a competent shop like these guys. Would definitely recommend. Also they get extra points for being BMW nerds. Respect!

Have been using them for over 10 years now! Love the fact that Ed loves to talk about cars! So I always learn something new when Im there. He has the knowledge and know how to do the job right! He literally saves me thousands of dollars by not taking my car to the dealer! He sometimes even does little repairs for free! "Replaced brake light - no charge".

Issues with a 2009 Lexus LS 460, created my second experiance with York Automotive, and like the first, I recieved an honest appraisal of the problem, quality workmanship, and a fair price. I believe this is SOP for York, which will certainly earn my buisness.
