Took my car for air conditioning problems. After working the car for more than 2 hours, the manager came back to me with an estimate of $250 to fix. He mentioned it was a problem with compressor running low on oil and assured that the problem would be fixed if I spent this money. I agreed and asked him to proceed with the fix. At the end of the repair, he also changed the air filter and charged me additional $50 for it. I paid him and took my car back only to find next week that the problem had not been fixed at all. Air conditioning was behaving the same way it did before the repair. Now comes the kicker - I took it back to him. This time the mechanic (Mark) who had worked on it originally worked on it for more than 3 hours (I had to take time off work to get it done). The manager came back with an estimate of $650 saying the expansion valve was the culprit and it would cost $650 to get it fixed. The expansion valve was quoted at $250, labor around $300 and recharging the system at around $100. Since it was a little too steep amount, I said Ill come back later and left the garage. Immediately within half-an-hour, I get a call from the manager saying he had found better deal for the spare part (expansion valve) and the revised estimate was for around $450. I later looked around and was shocked to find that the expansion valve comes for around $23. YES - 10 times less than what he quoted. Never ever take your car to this center...

Im so thankful for the crew at Meineke. They saved us! My husband and I were travelling from NJ to SC in our new Ford Escape (that we got after a terrible hit and run accident my husband was in). As we drove down I-95, the plastic undercarriage that covers the mechanical components came loose and was dragging on the roadway. It was really loud, rattled the floor of the car and risked further damage to our vehicle. I called Ford dealerships and Autozone along the way and no one could take us in. I was about to give up until I found this Meineke. The guys here said they were busy, but would try to fit us in. As soon as we pulled in, they heard the panel dragging on the ground and knew it was us who had just called. They kindly serviced our vehicle immediately and had us back on the road without issue in less than 15 minutes! After having been through an accident earlier this year, we very much needed a stress free getaway. The guys at Meineke provided great, quick service that got us back on the road and gave us the peace of mind we needed. I feel like this review didnt do my gratitude justice. Im so grateful for the Meineke crew for putting our vehicle back together as quickly as they did, so we could enjoy our vacation. Thank you, Meineke! Especially the Store Manager, Keith Gulliford.

Ive been going here for a couple years now. Keith has always been a straight shooter with me. Hes gone out of his way to work with me on things that need to get done vs. things that can stand to wait a little while. Hes always been friendly. There have been a couple occasions where things took a little longer than I thought they should take, but I try to keep in mind this is a busy shop that does a variety of work. There was one time where I needed tires replaced, he gave me the best price he had, but I shopped around and found a much better deal somewhere else. So I got the tires replaced somewhere else. And I didnt take that as "Meineke is trying to rip me off." I just spent a little more time researching things. After all, it is my car. Not everyone that doesnt serve you exactly the way you want is trying to rip you off. And sometimes, people make mistakes. I really do believe Keith and the guys do their best. Thats why I always take my vehicles here FIRST.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!! KEITH, JAMIE AND THE CREW MIGHT AS WELL RUN A PONZI SCHEME TO ADD TO THEIR NUMEROUS REPAIR SCAMS THEY ARE RUNNING OUT OF THAT LOCATION. WE TOOK OUR CAR IN FOR AN INSPECTION, AND ADVISED THEM THAT OUR WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THEY SAID THE CAR NEEDED BACK ROTORS (WHICH WERE ALREADY REPLACED A FEW MONTHS AGO) AND THE SAID THE WATER PUMP DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED AND ALMOST BURNED OUT OUR ENGINE. NOW THEY SAY IT DOES NEED TO BE REPLACED AND WILL REVERSE THE COST ON WHAT THEY ERRONEOUSLY REPLACED. THEY KEPT OUR CAR FOR 4 DAYS AND NOW THEY SAY THE BELT ALSO NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, AND WANT TO CHARGE US ADDITIONAL MONEY. THEY CAUSED ALL THE ADDITIONAL ISSUES WITH THE CAR WHEN THEY REPLACED THE INCORRECT PART NOW THEY WANT TO CHARGE US MORE, INSTEAD OF USING GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND CORRECTING ALL THE ERRORS THEY CREATED. VERY UNHAPPY. PLEASE STAY AWAY I COULD NOT GIVE LESS THAN 1 STAR

About a year ago I had trouble with my Volkswagen jetta. I took it to this meineke. They told me that I needed four new axles. They told me only one was bad but I needed all four. Then they said that I needed a few other things. I believed them so I saved up. Then when I finally had the money they told me that I needed a new battery. They charged me 400 just for the battery. Everything together was almost 2,000. I thought its a foreign car so things will cost more. About a month after that my car broke down. When I asked them what the problem was they told me that I needed a new engine. I took my car at that point. Last week I got a REAL mechanic to look at my car. He said that the engine is fine. He also told me that the so called mechanics at meineke put the timing belt in my car wrong. I WONT TAKE MY BICYLE TO MEINEKE. DONT EVER GO TO MEINEKE FOR CAR TROUBLE. THEY DONT DESERVE THE ONE STAR THAT I HAD TO GIVE THEM.

I have been to this place for 3+ years and I just got some problems last time serviced here. I came to get oil change for my toyota camry and they forgot to close the oil cap. That is why oil from the engine blow all around the hood and I just found out when I turn on AC and I smell it. I opend the hood and the oil cap still under the hood. Today I get oil change for my totota venza and it happens again. They forgot to close the cap and they can not find the oil cap so the order new one instead. Over all, I really like this place, Manager tried to fixed everything but I have to choose another car care place for my vehicles. Thank you Keith for everything you help.

Had a great experience. I needed new breaks ASAP and could schedule an appointment online. I took the car in when they opened and dropped it off and they had it done before my appointment time. My breaks have not been this nice in two years as the last place turned my rotors and made them to thin so they warped almost immediately and I have been riding them like that of two years when they finally needed to be changed. I felt the price I paid was good as well. I was very impressed with the gentleman behind the counter who was friendly and went out of his way to make my visit a great one. He went the extra mile and thats hard to find these days. Thank you!
