I will let the readers make their own determination to come here after reading... While driving to work recently, I had a TPMS sensor fail and require replacement. Being close to work, a friend recommended Leete on 2nd St. I stopped in and was quickly accomodated with a lunchtime appointment and was in and out very timely. But that is where problems began.... After getting tires rotated in the next 30 days, my TPMS service light came on during the ride home. The Readers Digest version involves me going back to the 2nd St. location to investigate the issue only to have them overfill my tires with air and telling me to drive it for 20 minutes. That didnt work. I was told the Hull St. location had a piece of equipment to fix my issues with relearning the TPMS codes. I drove there to have the tech use his sensor reader and attempt to send the sensor IDs to my cars computer, just as the 2nd St. located did, before he sent me on my way to drive another 20 minutes. Well, that failed to work (shocker). I returned back again where he found a OTC code present and he cleared it, claims he added the sensor IDs again, and my TPMS service warning went away... until I got half way home before it re-appeared. These technicians are supposed to be knowledgeable about vehicles, systems, their own tools, and utilize the huge database resources before them. Long story short, I performed all of the troubleshooting ocer the weekend and discovered they NEVER successfully added the new sensor ID# into the vehicle computer because they tried to submit the ODB relearn data to the car computer WITH THE VEHICLE RUNNING. (Both locations did it this way.... numerous times) I went be the shop (5th visit now...) today, showed them how to correctly use their SnapOn TPMS3 tool and successfully updated the TPMS ID#s with the ignition in the ON position, NOT WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING. Oh, I am not a auto mechanic, but maybe I should bill them for my services, gas, time, and knowledge. Customers time is valuable. Mistakes are made, I get it. But 4 or 5 in a row isnt acceptable anywhere. Regardless of what the owner posts here, I will never ever be returning, unless he offers me a refund, which he honestly should. The owner has my phone number on file.... he can call me to discuss my adventures, if he genuinely cares. Time will tell.

I am the manager for an Organic Laundry company/delivery service that runs out of Afton Virginia. I had an emergency with my delivery van tire and a rather large bolt. I called and spoke to Michael at the 2nd St location, he was extremely helpful and polite. He was not sure our delivery van would fit in their garage so not only did he direct me to the Hull St location but he also called and spoke to Brent letting him know my driver was on the way. He checked to make sure they had the specific tire in stock before sending my team to Hull St. I want to say thank you to Michael and Brent for their great customer service answering my questions and helping me even though I am almost two hours away from the situation. If we ever have another situation like this no doubt I will be calling Leete. Thank you! 3 months later and you guys have saved the day again!! Michael and Jim were very helpful and once again worked to get my van back on the road, even picking up a tire and bringing it to the Hull St location for us. You guys are excellent and my customers appreciate the work you have done to ensure their deliveries happen on time. Excellent job guys, much thanks!

Ive been coming here for years and havent had a problem. Last time I went I came in for a O2 sensor replacement. I told them which sensor I thought it was but told them I wasnt sure and gave them the part. The next day when I came in they informed me they replaced the O2 sensor I thought it was, didnt check before hand to make sure it was the right one, but it turns out it was the wrong one. They didnt scan the check engine light, nothing. Now Im out 300 bucks and have to get the job redone at a place that will scan the codes and make sure its the right sensor. Im not sure if they had an off day or what, but I cant imagine not checking the codes, fixing the wrong part and then telling the customer, whoops, its not that one, thatll be 300 bucks. Other than that incident theyve taken care of my cars just fine with minor problems. I would recommend them for small issues and leave the bigger stuff that requires diagnostics to other places. I had an exhaust issue as well that would have been too pricey and they recommended another place that could do it for cheaper so I appreciate that.

Jim ripped me off big time. I brought my car to them on a tow truck, huge mistake. They see a tow truck as permission to charge whatever they want to charge. A week ago my alternator went out on my 96 Chevy Cavalier. Jim told me that it would cost $470 to have it repaired. Not knowing better I gave him the go-ahead. An hour later I checked online to see what it should cost. Everything I found online said between $150 and $300. When I called Jim back and asked him why it cost so much he said that the alternator alone cost $225. Online they cost about $100. They wanted to charge me double the cost of a battery, triple the labor hours, and I still dont know how they got the number up to $470. Finally I paid them $160 to undo the work they started. I took it to someone else who charged me $250 for everything. If you do the math youll see that I still saved $60. I only wish I hadnt taken it to them in the first place. These guys are sleazy, untrustworthy, lying jerks who will take you for every penny. Stay away.

Do yourself a favor and do not go here. Had them install a leveling kit on my vehicle plus alignment. Got it back with what they said was a broken abs sensor and steering wheel off center. They said the sensor had to be coincidence and there was no way the caused it to break and if I buy the $200 sensor they would be kind enough to put it on (one bolt by the way). I did research that all pointed to the wire being stressed during a careless install job of the leveling kit, not the sensor. They said they checked the wire and it was fine however a simple test with my multimeter revealed there was no continuity in the wire. So they are either stupid or liars, neither of which are qualities you want in a mechanic.

Leete Tire & Auto is the only place I will be taking my car from now on. I was leaving to go to Florida and they were the only place that could squeeze me in an hour before they closed (4:00PM). They promised it would be done by 5:30PM and when I showed up at 5:20PM only to find it was not completed, I was pretty upset. They stayed over to get it done and had me out of there by 5:40PM. To make things right without me even asking, they completely comped my synthetic oil change, filter, and tire rotation and I walked out without paying a dime. Leete Tire & Auto takes customer service very seriously and I cannot thank them enough for getting me on the road in time. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
