Weve been working with Dave for about seven years and he/DOC Auto remains our "go to" for auto repairs. DOC Auto identifies problems early, but doesnt "sell" the repair. They arent pushy which is a relief. Were completely satisfied with all of the repairs theyve done and to date our Toyota Sequoia has 140,000 miles. Our Sequoia is treated like a ranch truck and not a show piece, hard use that logs lots of miles with a full compliment of pit bulls. When we picked it up today we were shocked by how clean it was on the inside. We saw Dave vacuuming that dirty, muddy truck out himself! Beyond the service aspect we are long time customers because of the attitude and beliefs of DOC Auto. Dave/DOC Auto is a powerful, positive force in this community. Currently his small reception area is packed with toys for needy families, but his generosity is not confined to traditional promo times of the year. If he identifies a family going through hardship or a cause that needs attention, he is quick to help. This is never published and often the only ones that know are his customers and the recipients of his help. The humility DOC Auto has is rare these days. We mentioned the attitude. We are a military couple and are the opposite of pretentious. Daves humor and candor appeal to us and are a welcome reprieve from the norm. It almost seems like Dave spent some time in the Infantry himself. Recently DOC Auto hired Eun (we apologize for the spelling). Eun is an extension of Dave and our compliments go out to this bright young man. Our only suggestion is that this team be less "by the book". We understand that these days, for legal safety, mechanics quote according to manuals and suggested prices. But some things could be SWAGed, i.e. aftermarket bumper install. DOC Auto has established enough trust with us that wed trust Dave if he varied from the book. Only once before have I had a mechanic like this and it was in Roswell, NM in the 70s-90s. That was an old school, small town, family garage. Dave/DOC Auto, is to me, that same old school, small town, family garage. Its been seven years and DOC Auto has earned, and deserves, our continued patronage. We proudly display the DOC Auto decal on both of our Toyotas. UPDATE: This is a belated update. Less than a week after we posted, our front bumper was installed for less than a third of what the "book" recommended. I was premature in posting that they were so rigid. Dave/Doc Auto is a friend/neighbor who is willing to help out and work with you. This is an honest and honorable business. One of the few left. Thanks Dave.

I was having unknown problems with my car. They told me it would be 1300$. I went to a different auto shop and got it fixed for 250$. They will take advantage of you. Here is why: 1. I went to this auto shop because it had great reviews. How wrong I was. I fully suspect them of having fake reviews. 2. They wont explain the individual prices, only the final total price. That way they can hide hidden fees. 3. I have a 2005 car. They were trying to sell me on the most expensive pieces of equipment for my car, along with lifetime warranty. Any auto shop trying to put the most luxurious parts on an old car is simply trying to steal your money. 4. Everyone was very nice and friendly, but it doesnt mean they are sincere about it. It isnt sincere kindness, just pure greed. 5. When I talked with one of the "CEOs", the reason he said everything was so expensive was because he really cares about his services. If he really cared about his services, he wouldnt have tried selling me over priced parts for an old car. 6. The loner car they advertise is just a simple way for them to justify the over pricing tactics that they do. They are a business in and out and are not there to help you out. Pure greed.I have never made a post on google reviews in my life and the outrage I feel from this auto shop has forced me to give my first review. 7. They called me later in the week with a lower price after I told them I was checking out other shops. It was 998$. The best part is, the piece that was broken wasnt even the piece they wanted to fix. They were going to add on more charges once they "fixed" it and realized it needed more fixing!!!! 8. You hear about auto shops being scummy businesses. You just found the mother of all scum.

BAD SERVICE!!!! I am not happy with the repair shop and would not reccomend it to anyone. I came in recently on Sat Feb 7th and got a free disagnostic of my vehicle.... They looked everything over, but they did not even fix my blower motor that I came for in the first place. When I got there I told them to look at the power steering fluid, and look at the blower motor. I know the blower motor went out because they checked the Heat/AC and it was fine... then they said "we have to check it and we have to dissasemble the dash and test it" well the blower motor is under the passenger side dash and you dont have to remove anything. Then I got a email with the diagnosic report and the so called "Power steering pump" that they said was dying was not even on there.... Then the tech talked to me and said "the entire underside of the car is wet with fluid, we dont even know whats wrong with your car at all. We have to clean it and that will cost 70.00 but I wish I could charge you more!" WHAT???? That is poor customer service and I will NEVER take my car here again... They had a opportunity to gain another customer and they blew it... I will find somewhere that values their customers.... If you have never been here before... STAY AWAY from this place!!! The tech I spoke too was Eun... and he was very rude to me... Instead of taking care of what I came there for, he said they would have to dissassemble the dash to fix my heat... then he said "just drop it off monday morning at 8am" I will not ever go back to them. And I will never reccomend them to anyone.

The first time I went to DOC Auto was for a transmission fluid flush. I thought it was a little expensive UNTIL my son (an amateur mechanic) saw the bill and corrected my faulty thinking. He said, "Mom, get over it, this bill is QUITE reasonable!" Also, they provided me shuttle service with a smile as well as snappy commentary on the frigid winter weather, and left a gift box in my car which had discount coupons in it. I didnt know it at the time, but it was Dave, the owner/head honcho of the business, who was chauffering me around. The next time I went to DOC Auto was for a rear wheel bearing replacement. VERY reasonably priced and again, same day service with complimentary shuttle. But I had forgot to use my discount coupons, so I brought them back after the fact and Eun readjusted the total--with a smile--and gave me a refund. The third time: new front tires and alignment. The fourth visit: an oil change for my daughters car. By this point, I had earned reward points, but I had thrown away my notification letter of said reward (by accident). Eun gave me the points anyway...again, after the fact...again, adjusting my total downward in my favor. These guys are MAGNIFICENT: SUPERLATIVE service, FAIR market or below market prices, and you leave the premises feeling better about the universe than when you arrived. Why would you go to any other mechanic???
