I have been going to Progressions since 2001, and have stayed with them - hadnt been to have my hair cut in such a long time and I was a "mess"- I felt like the "wicked witch of the west". I love my grey hair, but decided that if they insisted on coloring it, that would be the first and last visit - well Karla was great, cut my hair short, as I wished, and loved the grey - stayed with Karla for until her schedule could no longer accommodate mine and switched to Sandra, who is just as good. The entire staff is professional and so welcoming, One really feels pampered, even if just having a cut- and believe me, it is not "just a cut"- These stylists are true pros - Grey hair can be difficult and I always come away looking great and more importantly, I can do it myself and it grows out great. I believe in "you pay for what you get" This is my special treat to myself and worth every penny! I love Progressions, which is why I am still there and it is 2012! Update to review - am trying to grow my hair out and grey hair is difficult - had a fresh haircut Friday with my girl Sandra and my husband said he loved it as I got out of the car!!! Wow! That hasnt happened in awhile! It looks great! And that is why I keep coming back!!!!!!!!!!!! 02/22/13

LOVE IT! Im new to the area and was in need of a haircut. I did some searches online, and Progressions was close to where I work and seemed to have good reviews. They have good reviews for a reason. I loved my experience here! I called and got an appointment the same day. I was told the price upfront on the phone, about $83, which was a bit much for me. Thus, I asked if they had anyone who could cut my hair for my lower budget - no problem. I got Navan and the cut was $49. He was wonderful!!! Before shampooing, he sat me down for a consultation. He listened and gave suggestions for my face and hair type. The actual cut was fabulous. He is very skilled - cut my hair from long to short perfectly. Also gave me great tips for blowdrying and about products. Basically, I agree with the last post that this place is a gem. Well kept store with very friendly staff. Ashley at the front desk gave me a tour and offered me a complimentary drink and snack. No matter your budget, this place is great. And I highly recommend Navan!

I have been going to Progressions for at least a couple of years now, having been referred by another happy client. I was having a hard time finding someone who could cut my short hair and have it still look good 4 or 5 weeks later. I was booked with Alice just by chance and she worked wonders with my hair, I dont know what she does but she is the best! And she does a fantastic job with highlights and color. The entire staff is professional, well-trained, friendly and welcoming. Always offering a beverage and snack as soon as you walk in. They have great product lines that they sell, but my favorites are the accessories they sell - I have bought so much jewelry there, I love everything, so whoever is the buyer at Progressions youre doing a great job! I highly recommend anyone who is looking for a great cut and/or color, or even just a unique gift to go to Progressions! I understand they provide excellent facials and massages as well but I have not indulged in those yet.

I have been going to Progressions and Barbara for more years than I can count. Every single visit leaves me refreshed, renewed and feeling beautiful. I have always let Barbara do whatever her instincts (and considerable talent) tell her to do. I have never been disappointed - not even a little bit. More often than not I am awed. People are constantly complimenting my hair and I cant believe my good fortune to have such an awesome stylist that I also call my friend. Added to that, the staff is simply amazing. They are professional and attentive. Every visit to Progressions is a joy and I look forward to it. One more thing - the salon "store" is outstanding. Not only are there products for your every need (all excellent) but they offer amazing jewelry, beautiful bags and fantastic accessories. I highly recommend Barbara and Progressions. You wont regret it.

I was very pleased with Progressions after my first visit. I received a back facial and a hair cut. The back facial was very relaxing and the aroma therapy treatment was gentle and effective. I am African American and was a little nervous as the about the haircut portion of my visit. The stylist did an excellent cut. The only negative was that she was not able to bring the sheen to my hair that black salons offer. It was not a big deal, I went home and did the final touches and got the sheen that Im used to. I didnt rate them down for that because I still loved the cut. The customer service and the complementary amenities made this a very pleasurable experience. They even gave my man a free 15 minute massage because he was waiting so patiently. He loved it.

Im not a fan of getting my hair cut. Mostly because it takes time out of the day and you have to schedule in advance... and Im terrible about setting up appointments and keeping them. Decided to try my luck here because it had good reviews and was near me. Originally I was told Id need to set up an appointment but after stopping in they worked me in and Shae was available to cut my hair. She did a great job and when I mentioned how horrible I am about keeping appointments (because Im wishy washy I guess) she told me just to call any day I wanted to come and check her schedule. Then she fits me in when she can. Ill keep coming back because the cut is good and they are easy to work with... and Shae is great!

I have been going to Progressions for around 10 years or more. The people from the top to the bottom are just the best. Stylists are well trained in the latest techniques and from shampoo to coloring they take the time to speak with you about your wants and needs. As for products, you pick from a large selection from Oribe to Kertase; theyve got it all. Friendly, courteous and caring. One of the few salons that cares about the community in a big way. From raffles benefiting one group to collections of school supplies, mittens and other needed items for another. Could not ask for a better place.
