For about a week my car had been developing some kind of issue that made it lose a great deal of power under acceleration. I was taking steps to diagnose and fix the problem, but it wasnt so severe. Pep Boys insisted it was a slipping transmission, but the RPMs never suddenly shot up- they were just unusually high for the low acceleration I was getting. I took data with an OBD logger and found that my fuel flow rate was much too low (never more than 0.1 gallons per minute), but my fuel pressure was ok. Driving home from school one day, the problem got much worse and the car nearly stalled when I accelerated from a stop. I crept down University Boulevard at 5mph and rolled into their garage to get some help. I told them my problem and they were very obliging. I waited about two hours for them to look at my car, which wasnt unreasonable considering it seemed to be a busy day. After about three hours they told me that they found a leak in my PCV hose. It is very difficult to access on a 2000 Nissan Altima, so they quoted $660 to replace it. being a student, I couldnt just drop a quarter of the cars value right there, so I told them Id take the car home and research the problem a little before I did anything. The next day, I poked around the engine to find the offending hose but was unable to find the leak (though I cant be sure it wasnt there). I turned the car on to feel for air leaking from the hose, but again couldnt find it. I did, however, immediately notice a cloud of exhaust spewing out of a massive tear in my EGRC-BPT hose. It was plainly visible even without a smoke machine plugged into the air intake. I replaced the hose, turned on the car, and was able to drive off without stalling. The car still seems to lack power under load, so it is still possible that the PCV hose is indeed leaking. That said, I find it awfully suspicious that they failed to mention such an inexpensive and obvious fix to the my cars most severe symptom. Instead they quoted me for a very expensive, labor-intensive process thats cheap on parts. Further, I researched dealership fees for this process and found that they charge less than half what Precision Tune wanted! If anyone from Precision Tune would like to justify this or correct me. Id be glad to listen to what they have to say. For now I feel mislead and taken advantage of.

I dont even want to give them a star. The reason for the one is because of their new location. First, they had a long standing and returning customer because of the good work and customer service in the past. I was willing to drop my vehicle off, go work out, complete other errands, and recommend them to othets. Ive patronized the business in the past, mainly at the old location of Piney and University Blvd. Their customer service was better then. Hence my return for services. Today however, it seem like I needed to be of s particular heritage to be offered decent service. The male working the counter was all smiles, chatty, and giddy dealing with the other female customers of his heritage. I walked in and waited for my turn. He half heartily greeted me, was short, and rude with his reply as though I was bothering him. He smiled in a vindictive way as he told me he was unable to accommodate my needed services. As I began to exit the office he blurted out " you should have came earlier!" Great way to speak to a willing and paying customer. My rebuttal " I just got off work". As a public safety servant, up since 0430 this morning. Being in the public, protecting, saving, and resoluting crisis in strangers lives. Thats the last nasty service I needed. The two times I had service completed on my vehicle, I was in uniform, and the other male was so polite and kind. So does it mean because of my gender, race, and attire makes me a less desirable customer to extend respect and proper services? This location wont every see me there again..Nor will I speak well of them to others.

Dont waste your TIME. This place has the worst possible service ever. I was waiting in line, and there was a gentleman in front of me. The gentleman asked how long would it be before my car is serviced. The attendee responded:" I dont know, do I look like Miss Cleo or something?" Then responded and said: "I hate to see a grown a** man cry" The lot was very full. Ppl were waiting, while the workers were watching "Are We There Yet" with Ice Cube in the front lobby. My car was finally serviced. They recommended a few items, majority were completely ridiculous due to them just being looked at. Once I got back to my car my radio was blasting, stains in my seat, and seat adjusted. At the time these were miniscule items and I dismissed them. As I was preparing to drive off, I saw that I did not have a sticker to remind me of my next oil change. I went back inside to speak to the attendant and no one was there. I waited and I flagged a worker outside. He said: thats not my problem, I didnt ring you out" After a long staring contest and words being exchanged, the person who did my oil change (someone who did not have on a uniform and was paid out of pocket) came and gave me the sticker, and told me to put it on. I also asked what the contact information for the General Manager the attendee would not give me any information. I have never experienced anything like this coming from other mechanical shops. Nonetheless, I will never be back there.

Never experienced anything like this!! A true honest shop I was at a place that just said I needed an Alternator for my car over $450 with parts and labor when a friend told me to check this place out so glad I did after telling my problem not saying anything yet about the Alternator they checked the car after about an hour, very busy shop from what I was seeing so after the check a nice gentleman came and explained that my battery readings were very low. At that point I told him that a place just told me I need an alternator. He assured me that no all I needed was a battery he then showed me a printout with all my readings showing me that it was only the battery and it actually said Alternator Good from this type of computer printout . Needless to say but they will have s return customer here and I will be sending my friends here

I walked in for an oil change and the guy with long hair told me to come back 2 days later because they were booked. I came in 2 days later at the time the guy with long hair told me to come and then he says theyre still booked so I called their store number and another guy picks up and says they go by appointment... why wasnt I told this the first day?? No idea, but I booked my appointment and when I was dropping my car off the guy told me that they are really busy and it will take 3 hours to get my car back.. WHAT IS THE POINT OF APPOINTMENTS THEN???! Then I asked to speak to the manager and the guy with long hair told me that hes the owner and that they dont do oil changes. It took a week for the STORE OWNER to tell me they dont do oil changes??? Guys save yourselves and please do not bother coming to this shop.
