I moved to this area in July and was looking for a nice but affordable/cheap dry cleaner. Ive had always heard the ad about ZIP cleaners on radio, so I decided to search for the nearest one. I found them and came to yelp to read reviews and was actually discouraged to try them out. However, due to a busy schedule and the lethargy to look around for another one, one fine day I just decide to try them out with a couple of shirts and a pair of trousers. I dropped the clothes before 9 am and as promised in their ads received them after 5 pm the same day. Even though it was that quick , the quality of the work was not in any way inferior. I was happy and impressed with the overall service. So, as a result I started taking all my laundry and dry-cleaning to them on a regular basis and was never disappointed or frustrated with the quality of their job or with the service or anything at all. In my last trip there, I took a newly purchased suit to them to be cleaned and also needed to alter the length of the trousers followed by hemming. To make things worse, I needed the suit for my office Holiday party pretty soon. The girl at the counter said the cleaning would be done by 5 pm next day but the trousers would not be available only on Monday, which was after my holiday party. So, I requested Eddie (I am not sure if he was the manager at the floor or a team leader) to let me know if there was any possibility of getting it done before the said time. I must say they delivered what they promised and I was totally impressed by them. Overall its a really nice place with good service, friendly and smiling people, a cheap and small clothing repair shop. I like their operational hours and the location. So yes, I would definitely recommend this to all !!

I was really happy when they opened this ZIPS location at first, and their service was really good... until about 6 months ago. Ive had pants with the stains still visible, only to point them out to the cashier and have them removed instantly when I picked them up (then WHY didnt you remove it before when you saw it as you steam pressed it!?!?!?!?!). Dropped off a bunch of my fiances dress shirts, including a very expensive Guayabera he bought for his sisters wedding - stains AND poorly ironed. How was it possible to get wrinkles at the base of the collar, where its not even a natural spot to GET wrinkled? Ive had my dress pants creased in the wrong direction (really you guys?). I was hoping that the first time was a fluke, but now its been the past 3 trips. Sucks because I live so close by and its convenient to all my grocery shopping, but its not worth it to pay for a service only to have to do more work either when I pick it up or when I get home. I will never walk into this place again, even if they bribed me with discounts. I shouldnt have to revise your work when Im picking up my garments - you should have done it right the FIRST time!!

"In by 9, out by 5" is taken very seriously here. I showed up at 9:08AM and they flatly refused to add my garments to todays load. Every other Zips that I have used is a bit more forgiving. Whatever. Lesson learned. I cannot complain that they have enforced the franchise’s policy literally. My fault. Here’s what I CAN complain about and what you should hear before you take your clothes to this Zips: In the 3 months that I have been using this store I have had 5 shirts missing buttons, one torn. They are totally inconsistent with the starch: I ask for “medium” starch every time. Sometimes my shirts are barely starched at all, but sometimes they are so stiff that I am afraid they might break when I pry them off the hanger. One of my favorite pairs of pants ended up with several 1” marks from a black magic marker. They deny that it came from their store, but I am 100% certain that it did. It stinks that all the nearby alternatives are 50% more expensive, but I am seriously thinking it might be worth it, at least until this relatively new Zips figures out what they’re doing.

Wow what a disappointment! I took in 2 pairs of pants and 1 button down shirt. When I picked them up the man behind the counter did not say a single word to me the whole time I was there. He literally took my ticket, scanned it, got my clothes, and handed me my clothes, not a single word. When I got home I looked at my clothes and was extremely disappointed. One pair of pants looked fine, the second pair was bunched up on the hanger so that it had set in wrinkles from the bunching. My shirt had more wrinkles in it then when I took it in after sitting in my hamper for a week. It also had black fuzz on it. So now I will be taking my shirt and pants to be re-pressed since Zips was unable to properly complete the job. The $1.99 you spend per item is exactly what you get back. Definitely will be spending the extra money for a dry cleaner to properly clean and press my clothes.

I have tried this place twice, and both times I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the cleaning. I check my items and OBVIOUS stains that I pointed out when I dropped off the items had not at all been removed, and they did not notify me that the stain was still there. I would not have known if I had not checked the garments. The manager gave me 2 free dry cleanings as as result, and I gave the place another try only for the same exact thing to happen again. They do not inspect the items for cleanliness and gave me a hard time getting a refund the first time. I will never come back.

This place is schooling the competition. They staff fast and helpful people - and a bunch of them. This is the East Coast baby, I want to zip in and zip out. They do it. This place is one of my top-five dry cleaners in this country. Yea, I travel alot. What I want is more of this franchise available to me all over USA. . . . . .This business model is beyond a ground breaker. This business model is a paradign shift in an industry that badly needs it. Thank you.

I do not usually write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn people off of this place. I had several cashmere sweaters cleaned here in January. 4 of the 5 came back with holes. A sleeve on one sweater had 6 pretty sizeable holes in it. The 2 things I gave them with stains were returned with stains. So I lost about $300 in damaged sweaters and didnt end up with any clean clothes. I would avoid it if I were you.

Terrible customer service. Some guy who wouldnt even look me in the eye took my clothes and basically ripped them off the hanger. Then he dropped my suit on the floor and didnt even pick it up, just kept typing on the computer. At this point I was like wow...if they treat me this bad how are they going to treat my clothes? So I asked for my suit back and walked out.
