I wish it was possible to give zero stars cause thats what this store deserves this single star is just cause its a necessity I waited 3 and a half hours for my car and it wasnt finished I was fine with that they have plenty of things to do and there was one African American gentleman working on the car himself while working on other vehicles I wish I got his name he was wonderful it was my first time at pep boys ever. Worst customer service I didnt know their store hours so when I got a call 2 or 3 minutes before theyre closing saying the cars finished and I can come pick it up I wish I got the employees name that made the call but anyways I turn around from where Im going since Im fairly close and head back to the store I arrive and theyre closed I knock on the window and point to the car so I can pick it up they stare at me for 5 minutes then finally open the door we walk in and they tell me that the registers are closed. So One why didnt the gentleman on the phone tell me that I wouldve went about my business and picked it up tomorrow two how do you call a customer right before youre about to close the least that couldve been done was giving me a call 30 minutes in advance letting me know the car isnt finished but to come in and pay so When it is done I can be on my way. Why wait last minute tell me I can come Get the car have me rush back to your store just for you to tell me the register is closed that is terrible customer service and I will never be back and I will never allow friends family neighbors to visit this establishment very poor customer service. Worst Auto shop Ive ever been too I really dont understand how this store is still in business !

We were so pleased with the service we received at the Pep Boys Everett store we just had to write this review. We live in New Hampshire and were driving to Logan Airport to catch a 9 AM flight for a week’s vacation in the Caribbean. After a 2 hour drive we were almost to Logan when we discovered we had two almost completely flat tires. Luckily we came upon Pep Boys but at 7 AM the store hadn’t opened yet. A sympathetic employee who was there early assisted us and suggested that we leave our car and talk with Ron in the tire department when the store opened at 8 AM. We were able to get a ride to the airport from a Boston relative and rushed to make our flight. After a call to Ron in the tire department, we were prepared to replace four tires on our four-wheel drive Toyota. We were sure the tires were ruined. With our dilemma we told Ron to go ahead and check out the problem and if we needed new tires to put them on. After a week’s vacation we returned and to find good news. The flat tires were due to leaking valve stems on recently mounted winter tires. Pep Boys simply replaced the valve stems on the tires. Pep Boys and Ron could have easily told us we needed to replace our tires which we expected. We were very thankful that we came upon a business which has honest employees who repair only what needs to be done. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the help we received from Pep Boys Everett! Thank you Pep Boys!!! -Fran & Paul

I was a regular customer of this Pep Boys for many years, but no more. When I called to get a quote for a repair to my car they give me a price that is two or three times higher than their competitors. In addition, another representative gave me a different, and much higher quote, for the same repair when I called another time. Why would I want to go there and pay a higher price when I can go somewhere else and get the same repair cheaper? This is not an isolated incident and has happened to me more than once. They also have a rude woman that works there, who obviously hates her job and should find another line of work. This Pep Boys needs a major overhaul. I dont know how they stay in business treating people like this. The owners of this store should investigate how the car repair service operates and get some people to pose as "secret shoppers" to call and/or go to this place for assistance on a regular basis, and they will see what Im talking about. They are losing business by treating customers badly. Its a shame because Pep Boys used to be a dependable place to get your car repaired at a reasonable price.

I went in and applied for a credit card, got accepted. The 6 months no interest option is a pretty good deal. I was in to buy 4 new tires for my car because winter is here and i was greeted by an awsome lady who answered my questions on the tires. My problem here was the arrogant tire service manager looking man who once I asked more specific questions about the wait time on the tire change and why it would benefit me and my car to buy the complete package that pep boys offers to their customers when changing tires. I wqsnt looking to cut corners or price, i guess i was looking for a bit of education, but he seemed very uninterested and almost seemed as though he wanted to ask me , "why would you not get a wheel alignment." Anyways i was really hoping to do the tire change today but i feel guilty giving the money to a place that has a service rep like that around. I had to walk out.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Recently (as in less than two weeks ago) I had all four tires replaced out of state. Moved here and popped two on the same side at the same time. Had my car towed here at 10AM. Was told an estimated time for it to be in the shop would be about 2 hours. I know this can fluctuate, but called back 8 hours later and my car still hadnt made it even INTO the shop to be looked at. An hour later they call with the estimate and said it will take an hour and a half. I called back at 7PM cause they close at 8 and no one would pick up the phone for the majority of 7PM-7:30PM. I called back at 7:50 and they finally picked up and claimed they just finished it and that I can pick it up if I can make it in time, if not in the morning. Worst experience EVER. I advise you not to take your car here.

Made a 10AM appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Showed up at 945AM, went to run an errand came back to the shop at 11AM the car was on the lift. 40 minutes later I peeked in the bay and the car looked the same. I asked them and they said that my wheels need a lock adapter... I explained to him that they dont, and once he checked he realized that I was right. Its 1PM now and Im still waiting for the service to be completed. Worst time management I have ever had when it comes to a repair shop... what is the point of making an appointment??? Pep boys please remove that option from your site, and make it a walk in only place. I will never buy so much as a bottle of water from any of your stores, let alone have my car repaired here.
