I drive a lot, I am a frequent customer to Firestone on School Street and will continue to be. Pros: 1)Honest. They back their work and dont inflate bills. They stand behind their work. 2)Excellent place to buy tires, the warranty for road hazards is great. I have hit potholes which have blown out a tire, and also hit objects that wreaked a tire. In both cases they fairly pro-rated the tire wear and I got a brand new tire for about $20.00 3)comfortable waiting room, good sub shop across street. 4)Staff is very friendly, I like the Manager Chris McGiness (spelling?) 5)I got "lifetime alignment" plan, and have used it several times, especially after my pothole incident. I highly recommend this. 6)Good plans for oil changes, you can get a package which knocks down the price. 7)They do most general auto repair. If you are getting a tire change and they see you need struts, for example, they will give you safety goggles and show you, then they can fix it then and there. 8)They keep track of your cars maintenance on computer, these records are great to manage vehicle maintenance. Cons: 1)I have had to bring back the auto after having it fixed, on one brake job I had I had to bring it back two times to fix grinding and squeaking noise.* 2)quality of their brake products seems suspect. I dont get many miles on my brakes* __________________________ *Please note: To be fair, the brake issues I had may be just be unique to my car, a Honda Element.

I just pay $410 For a really Bad Services, they dont tell you about alignment, they say everything is included and wen you read the invoice is nothing about alignment, they are quick to charge your card, I call and said did you guys check the alignment? No , I said who will pay $410 and not pay for alignment, They get very getto and let me wait in the store like 20 min and another customer show up they try to attend her before me , until I say something about it, anyway I end up taking my car to Boston Auto Tech in Dorchester. DONT GO HERE ,GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE OR ANY OTHER STORE. I will call Corporate about this.

Schedule an appointment to have a tire alignment online for 2pm. Made sure to select wait for service, not drop off and had it confirmed by both the corporate customer service representative L. Hagood as well as the local employee Bob. When I arrived I was told I had a 2 hour wait period!! The only reason I will go to any Firestone is because I have a lifetime alignment. I recommend you find another place for automotive service, local car repair shops Ive been to are both more knowledgeable and have a lower cost (plus youd be supporting a local business, not a all about profit corporation which is rare these days!).

Only interested in one thing....TAKING YOUR MONEY!!! Had a catalytic converter replaced 6 months ago, the cost....700.00. Check engine light came on, paid for a scan at a different place, they said it was the catalytic converter and it needs to be replaced!? Went to Firestone to question this since "they just replaced it recently" and they expect me to pay 100.00 for a new scan to check it!!!! Ass holes!!! Going to another mechanic to see if they even replaced it in the first place. For their sake I hope they did or else theyre gonna get one hell of a law suit! DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE!!!!!!!

Absolutely terrible management. The mechanics can not be trusted. Twice my car came out of this shop in worse shape than it was when entered. I believe that this shop causes damage to most cars it works on in an attempt to create additional work. Ill never let Firestone in Quincy work on my cars ever again. Fooled once shame on them, fooled twice shame on me. They will not get a third chance. Beware of their $10 complete diagnostic check up. They do it regardless however. Dont trust this auto repair shop

So far this place is okay not as good as you think, but only be good if there is a experience mechanic work on your car otherwise they will screw up your car . I had my car installed 4 new tire after I drove up to the freeway at 55 mph my car was too much vibration after I had all four brake replaced still not as good as I looking for, so I went back there today , one of the experience mechanic worked on it and he did a good job , no more vibration on my car. Good job Thanks

Theyre commission based, so they will try to get every penny from you .They wanted 600 dollars for 1 break line repair job. I went to another shop, the guy charged 120 for the whole thing front to back and it only took him like an hour. So I dont know where that 600 dollar number came from, definetly not what the job costs. Be careful, and choose wisely when bringing your car to get fixed. There are other really good an honest mechanics elsewhere.

Bought four new tires Had a problem with them leaking brought the car back six times Last time I brought it back for a tire still leaking I had on appointment for nine in the morning went back at 5:30 to pick up and it was never brought in they brought it in when they saw me I told the manager to let me have my car and I left will never do Business with them again The management is terrible I would recommend to stay clear of this place

I came in with an unusual issue with some out of country registration and the tech could not figure out the problem right away. The service advisor than called the manufacturer of the particular machine they needed for an emissions check and found out the correct course of action. Bottom line is that the service here went above and beyond my expectations when other places just turned me away when they couldnt figure out the issue.

I would strongly advise never working here. chris maginnis is the most abusive boss i have ever encountered. Make you work 53 hour work weeks. Berate you, will ignore you if you speak to him. My mother was dying of cancer and here and there i need time off. Eventually she passed and i needed time off to handle affairs and they fired me. Nice huh? Mechanics are very knowledgeable and good guys, just management is horrific.

I worst experience ever. They are theives. They charged me to change a break light bulb which I payed. 2 hours later I get pulled over for a broken bruned light. They also wanted me to do work on the car that want even what was needed to be done. I would never ever go there in my life again!!! Please anyone goes there inspect your car and work done before you pay

Overcharging with a way above normal margin. Sold me a part for $271 which should be sold at around $70. I went in and fought for it so they gave me $70 bucks back..which means in the end still it cost me $200 for a $70 part. they gave me several excuse on why an after market part needs to be so much !! Not going again there and wont recommend to it anyone.

Went for an inspection sticker with my 2014 vehicle. The manager (Chris) told me that I have to get my wiper blades changed in order to pass inspection. Or else he will issue me a failed sticker. What a bull sht. I called my credit card and have them investigator instead of having a scene at their location. Dont go.
