When shopping for carriers to transport a car from Massachusetts to Texas, I was quoted a wide range of prices. After reviewing the bids and speaking to George Rohlfing, I made the decision to work with one of the highest quotes as George assured me that the service would be top notch and if any issues arose, BTI and Mayflower would handle any issues or concerns. Sadly, this turned out to be nothing but a bold faced lie. During transport, the driver called and asked if I had seen the car prior to pickup. As I purchased it on Ebay, I had not and indicated such. The driver then implied that the car had many "bumps and bruises". This seemed suspicious, so I contact George to inquire as to how I should handle a car "IF" it was damaged during transport. George was very defensive which was the first red flag. After calming down, he told me that I could not refuse delivery as the car would then be taken back to a warehouse and I would be charged for storage until pick-up. He told me that upon receipt, I could then file a claim with Mayflower. Upon delivery, I noticed damage to the car. I provided George and Mayflower with photos, documentation from the pick-up (the garage observed the driver make contract with the truck and my car), and their own document which indicated clearly that no dent was observed at pickup (despite numerous other observations). In the end, Mayflower refused my claim because I did not fill out the their paperwork according to their procedures. The paperwork is ambiguous at best and no where does it say "to be completed by recipient". The driver mislead me saying that I would sign the document and then file a claim. George too mislead me as to how I was supposed to file a claim and handle the issue. When it came down to taking responsibility as he had promised, he did nothing of the sort. Even IF Mayflower had not mislead me, the simple fact that no dent was observed by their driver or their agent in the notes at pick up, but a dent was then observed at delivery means that Mayflower should take responsibility as George promised. No only did I pay much more to utilize Georges services, but I did so because of what George promised. He didnt even attempt to keep that promise. I would steer clear of BTI-Mayflower and George Rohlfing. Period.

Mike Reynolds and his crew moved my Jamaica Plain 2BR apartment housing me, my wife, and 8 month old son. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. A four person crew packed us up from 830AM-630PM or so. They worked very quickly and efficiently with great team work. They were all very comfortable with each other and made the packing more enjoyable. Unpacking was great too. A two-person crew (including Mike again) unpacked us from 830AM-430PM or so. Again, they worked very quickly and efficiently. Altogether, they were always friendly, always professional, and in the end nothing was broken or unaccounted for. We were blown away by how carefully they wrapped each of our dishes, cups, etc. It made unwrapping a bit insane with huge piles of paper but I think thats par for the course. The total cost was about $5500 including full pack. It was a great value compared to a lot of the other estimates I received. They also did an in-home estimate before they packed up so I got a "will not exceed" estimate. Id go with them again in a heartbeat!

My move last Saturday was ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. The three movers were extremely efficient, friendly, careful, and hard-working. They go they move done fast and before it started snowing yet again. I can’t say enough positive things about the caliber of people they are and the work they performed. Im going to recommend BTI/Mayflower to anyone who needs a mover.

The movers were awesome. The initial assessment, move-out, and move-in were made extremely simple for me. I would highly recommend Mayflower. The move was admittedly expensive (MA to MN), but made much easier with Mayflower.
