I needed my A/C to be recharged, so I call them and they said its $49.99. I said OK. I went there, the price is $149.99. The $49.99 is just a diagnosis. I went for it, after the lady who works there said she could possibly bring it down to $119. After about 4 hours, they called and said its ready and I have ice cold A/C. I went there to pick it up, the price is $177.77. I asked why, she said she couldnt bring it down and there was some taxes etc. I was late for my work so I didnt bother wasting my time, hoping I got what I needed. This was last Thursday, 6/6/13. On Monday, 6/10/13 my ice cold A/C became a hairdryer. It was completely dead, as it was before I took it to Midas. I went there today again, they checked it out and said I need a new A/C compressor, which costs $940 (part only) and it would $1100 installed. My car is from 1996 so I didnt bother investing that much money into it. I asked why they charged me $177 just few days ago, instead they couldve told me I need a compressor and it wouldnt be worth recharging - they said they couldnt tell it right away, they need several check ups. So, here I am, $177 short in my pocket with no A/C. Pretty much thrown out through my window. This was my first and last visit to this place. RIPP OFF and BS!!! Nothing else!

What a joke! I went in for an oil change and tire rotation on a Friday morning at 8:15AM, forty-five minutes after opening. The three mechanics and the manager are eating breakfast and apparently one customer waiting. OK, we all have to eat. But, then again, NOT exactly killing it either. He asks me how he can help. I ask if I can get a oil change and tire rotation. He asks if I have an appointment - I respond no. He points out correctly that the Groupon states you have to call for an appointment. He asks if I can leave the car for several hours - I say no (several hours for an oill change?!?). If you are a manager and your staff is not exactly over burdened wouldnt you accept work? Even if unplanned? Is the goal of the Groupon promotion to turn business away? I have been a customer of them for some time - but no more! Whoever owns this shop must be looking for LESS revenue. I guess the shortsighted manager must be hoping to be out of a job soon.

The staff is excellent and their work is of great quality and they tell you on their face the way it is. We went to buy 2006 Odyssey from north shore auto mall dealer in Lynn and they did not disclose the fact it was involved in accident. But We decided to have it inspected by independent mechanic before we buy the van and went to Midas. The staff were right on the Ball and they soon found out the van was involved in major accident and repainted (which car dealer did not disclose) and they explained me the whole thing and how it was done and what i should look for before I buy the van. They didnt charge me anything for this service either. I whole heartedly Thank them for alerting me. Thank you guys and appreciate your hard work and saving my $18500 !!!!

Took my friends car for a car inspection and he failed the car because of the light on the license plate was out. Cashier then he said he could fix it really quick for 80 dollars. $3 dollars for the light bulb and the rest for labor. Looked at the light a second time and it wasnt even burnt out. The guy and the establishment are liars and scam artists. Showed him the light and he accused me of "tapping" it to work, he then gave me a passed inspection and removed the rejected sticker.

Ive never had any issues with these guys. Theyve been 100% honest with me, have backed up their work, and care about getting you the best results. I recommend setting up an appointment ahead of time, they take their time, but thats because theyre thorough with their work. Friendly service and convenient location. Thanks guys!

I knew they were going to find a few things wrong, but when I asked simply for 4 brake pads and an oil change, I didnt expect to call back 4 hours later to find out they had closed and locked my car in the garage. NO communication on their part. Still dont have my car.
