It appears that most people have had positive experiences here. I, however, am not one of them! As a recent college graduate I was excited at the offer of saving $500. We drew up the paperwork and I drove off in my new car. Weeks later Im told that what I provided for proof of graduation wasnt acceptable so I provided another document but was convinced to pay the $500 on my credit card, not factored into my payments, with the assurance that when the new document was received and accepted that I would get a check for that $500. Big surprise, this went no where no matter how many times I checked up on the situation. I tried to work with them for over a year to have them resolve the matter with no progress. Its been about 18 months now and everyone that worked there that knew my situation no longer works there, go figure. I learned my lesson though, never pay anything additional to what was agreed upon at signing. I feel like I was flat out swindled and lied to by this dealership and nobody cared enough to do anything about it. Posting this review is the little and only justice I will receive. I have owned 5 Hondas now and still love the cars and company! However I will forever shudder at the name Dover Honda! Buyers be warned!

Went into Dover Honda to lease a CRV and felt rushed and felt taken advantage of, perhaps because of my age. I was told to initial several things on the lease contract and did not read them, and one of them was paying $300.00 at lease end unless I got another Honda. Although I signed it, it should have been specifically pointed out, because it is part of the lease cost to me. Later I was told all dealers not just Honda dealers do this. WRONG. Not all dealers do this - certainly not any Ive dealt with over the past 25 years. Pretty sneaky. The advertised lease payment from the Honda site was $238.00, but Dover Honda jacked it up to $305.00 saying it was for added dealer costs! Their service manual consisted of a CD which can only be played on a home computer, and my two new laptops dont have CD players. I asked the sales person to get me a manual, and never heard back. I called Honda and they sent me printed manuals. Before I left, I as asked not to give them a bad review. All in all, I wouldnt hurry back to this dealership.

I purchased a new 2017 Honda CR-V Ex-L several weeks ago. First I dealt with Bob Drake after selecting the model and options on the Honda website. Bob responded immediately and with a no nonsense quote. I was impressed with the follow-up when my fiancee and I came in and met Rick Stern, an experienced and HONEST salesman. No nonsense again, just professionalism that made us feel confident that we were at the right place and the right person. We went for a test drive and sealed the deal within an hour. Good price. When I picked up the car a few days later, Rick took all the time that I needed to explain the vehicle options and set up the controls after a brief discussion and detailed explanation of the choices. I drove away, comfortable that there would be no post purchase regrets since I had used Dover Hondas great service department over the past 2 years and have also been impressed with their professionalism. I have bought over 10 new vehicles in several states but I would say Dover Honda "takes the cake"!!

I have never had a bad experience at Dover Honda. They are very friendly, helpful, professional and never try to make have any service that you dont want or need. My family has purchased 7 cars there in 12 years and we will always keep going back. I recommend them to anyone that wants a fair and honest dealership (I never thought I would say that!) that is very easy to work with. I am never treated "like a girl" when I go there. I am treated with respect and honesty. Way to go Dover Honda! Keep up the good work! Update, I just bought my second car from Dover Honda and yet again, their team completely blew me away. Sue and Heidi really took care of me and made sure that the car I was buying was not only a good fit for me, but was within my budget. This is car number 9 my family has purchased from Dover Honda and all of us are very pleased with the whole process from the purchase of the car all the way to the last oil change on the car you trade it.

Man who assisted me was pleasant . For an 8 am oil change and tire rotation an hour was a long wait. I do believe the paper that shows the basic inspection was done. They saw and listed that the rear brakes were "NEW." This was 8/12/15. In March 2015, or 5000 miles ago my rear brake pads were listed at 9 by Honda. And more interestingly, 12,000 miles previous to that they were listed at 7. What? Guess they got better with wear. Ha! So 4000 miles after the rears were listed at 9, I had no brake pads left and the roters were rubbing together making a loud sound in the rear. Had to get new roters and pads. Guess they missed that one because if the brakes were nearing their end, Honda would have informed me Im sure. My other mechanic (not Honda) said the brakes were never looked at because theres no way they could have been a 9 just 4000 miles ago . So I did not go to Honda for new roters and pads .

My fiance and I went in to look at one specific car he found on their online pre-owned inventory and upon looking at the vehicle we decided it was not for us. The salesperson wouldnt hear of it though and said things like "What do I have to do to get you into a car today?" and "What do I have to do to not have to go look at Toyota?" I know that they are in the business of making a sale but we were very put off by these questions. We came to see the car, we didnt like it, the end. Before he would let us leave though he went to get his manager who asked my fiance point blank if he was "a car snob" because he only wanted to look at one car. He then said if we test drove something else on the lot he would "make it worth our while." We couldnt get out of there fast enough and we ended up getting a MUCH better experience at another dealership.

Dover Honda is by far the best service center we have ever dealt with and I wouldnt take my 2012 Pilot (purchased there) anywhere else unless I had to! Not only is the car itself headache free, but with the knowledge and help of the service center, I am keeping it well-maintained. They are extremely personable, pleasant, prompt and professional in returning calls, and very patient with young mom who doesnt know much about cars but needs the car so much everyday! The Body Shop was even so nice and professional with me after I scraped and dented the side of the car after one month of driving it (getting used to driving a bigger car!) and had it back to me having done a beautiful job in only a few days. They also have great promotions, which save us money. Well, well, done!!! Highly recommended.
