STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS! 1.Staff is rude and unprofessional, they would hire anyone there. They could care less if your needs are met, all they care is for people to sign up and pay their monthly fee. Otherwise, screw the customer. 2. They love to conceal information. When I started the process I was charged extra money and the staff told me that she had to charge an extra $11.00 a month for mandatory insurance, which she failed to mention when I first asked for the quote. My bill went from $74 to $85 to $95 in a matter of 4 months. Also, when I called early in the month I was told by customer service that I could get money back for the pro rated charges. I return the storage, clean and completely empty and now they say that cannot be done after the 7th of the month. Of course that was never mentioned to me when I called initially. Theyre a joke! 3. There is mice in the storage place so they could care less for rodents going around peoples properties. I came twice to my storage and I saw two mice running in the hallways. If you want better quality service, truthfulness & 100% customer please go elsewhere, ANY STORAGE PLACE EXCEPT PUBLIC STORAGE.

I have had no problems with insects or water. The people at the front desk have always been responsive and very friendly. The one complaint I do have has to do with the monthly fees. I never thought much about that until I was looking at the cost if a smaller unit (no longer need the larger space we now have.). I noticed the cost for my unit was much less than I was paying. I asked the desk person about that and was told that the unit costs go up from month to month. I asked why, after nine years I was paying more than someone that had been there for one year. I did not receive a satisfactory answer, but did get the rent reduced to the cost a new renter would pay. I plan to downsize during the next month, which will result in considerable savings. When that happens I will discuss the extra dollars spent over a period of years above what someone else would have paid for the same unit. That is simply not a fair business practice. Per above I am pleased with service and cleanliness. My complaint is a management issue, not a local service matter.

I gave only one star simply because I discovered German cockroaches in my stuff that I had stored at their Lynnway building from Jan 15 to Feb 28, 2011. I have discovered at least 10 roaches in the 4 weeks since I started bring stuff back to my house. I informed the desk person on Feb 26th they had an insect problem, at the time I didnt know what kind of insect it was, the desk person replied "If theyre not roaches, then we dont care". Well, I now know they are German roaches and call them this morning (3/19/11), told the manager they had roaches, and the manager simply said thanks you and thats it.I would have expected a at least a question or two, but nothing. I have informed the Lynn Health department and sent photos. I dont have any other major complaint about the facility. The light in my storage unit didnt work, but I didnt care at the time so Im counting it as a major complaint. Otherwise the facility was fine. But I would avoid using them till they have dealt with their cockroach infestation.

Ive been with public storage for over 2 yrs. Have had no issues with staff. Cheryl has been very helpful through the years with any questions or calling me with issues theyve had. I just want to make a small note HAVE NOT seen a roach since i have been there, sorry to the one who posted that. Cheryl is very professional with her job. She may have attitude sometimes, who wouldnt working with the public, i did many years ago and its hard. Cheryl smiles all the time, laughing with customers, when she takes payments, Ive seen it while making a payment. The place is clean. See no trash anywhere. So when you see Cheryl outside, wave and smile to her it just might make her day. Gave 4 stars, 1 for cleanliness; 2 for organization; 3 for happy atmosphere; and 4 for professionalism from Cheryl and her staff. Public storage should be proud of their staff on the Lynnway in Lynn. Working with diversity is a plus.

I came in with my wife and right when I came in the two girls were very pleasant. They were right on things. Jodanny showed us the unit and went everything in detail. She explained the property and the security is unbelievable. On our way down we saw Cheryl and she explained everything when it comes to company policies. Everything seemed legit. Cheryl took us to the office and compared prices and explained the promotion which is called the dollar special. The first month is a dollar. When I tell you she explained everything; she explained it. The visit was very enjoyable and knowledgable. I left the office knowing everything about the company and its regulation. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Cheryl and Jodanny were great. They know how to treat their customer and they seem to enjoy they company. Applauds to them.

Generally, Public Storage is secure and convenient. The people there are very nice and cooperative. Be advised, however, it is not climate controlled. Everything you store there IS sheltered from wind, rain, snow and sleet, but otherwise it is subject to the elements. Your stored things get cold and damp and hot and damp depending on the outside weather. Dont store things there that will be adversely effected by temperature and humidity. My only real complaint is that I have found nails lying around on the driveway and park areas on several occasions. I cannot say that my last two flat tires were the result of Public Storage, however, they each occurred within 24 hours of my first two visits to the facility. My only recommendation is that they police the area regularly for nails.

This location is at its greatest most experienced and well kept business. I have ever came across. The girls went through everything with me. I am one of the most difficult people to deal with yet they wouldn t stop at nothing to make sure I have all the details correct. Jodanny showed me three size units and went over the whole property and gave me all the details. When she finished with the tour Cheryl went over everything such as the hours and merchandise. From what she told me it seemed I needed to buy the whole store. It was a great experience. Since I was just looking for prices and wanted to know what this location had to offer. Once Im ready to move I will definitely come back to this site. The girls are great. And their sense of humor is a plus.

I wouldnt go anywhere else. They are always on point with calling me to make sure I pay my bill on time. I ended up loosing my keys and I was sick and tired looking for them. I ended up calling in and come to find out they found it. That right there shows me they do their walk around. They are very professional and helpful. They make things so much easier for me. I trust them and appreciate all there help. Thank u girls and thank u for my keys. Saved me money Im a happy camper. I will recommend to anyone. Theres only one issue I have is the carts. Every time I need one I just go I to the office and they always help me. If I could I would go around and find them but this building is so secure I cant access any other floor expect my own. Love it here.
