Ive been a customer of Extra Space Storage before, at different locations, and I have always thought the facilities were top notch as far as storage facilities go - clean, climate controlled, secure, up-to-date buildings. The customer service at my previous locations have been average, what youd expect. Im posting this review because of the outstanding customer service I received at this particular location in Milton, MA. The staff - Derrick (manager), Paul, and Peter - went above and beyond to make my move-in easy, always very friendly and helpful. They even honored a deal that the telephone sales rep had misquoted when they could have easily said "sorry - take it or leave it." I couldnt be happier with my decision to rent a storage space from this Extra Space location. If you need storage in the Milton/Dorchester area, I highly recommend you get it here.
Ive used many different storage facilities throughout the years, and Extra Space Storage in Milton is one of the best in my opinion. The facility is clean and modern, and the staff is honest and professional. Chris Malone, in particular, was extremely helpful in helping us rent the right size storage unit to move the entire contents of our house from Maryland to MA. Theres no funny business with billing, and they will pro-rate a month for you if you know you have a move out date (other facilities will charge you the whole month, or make it difficult for you to pay a pro-rated amount). Id highly recommend Extra Space Storage at 2 Adams Street in Milton to anyone looking for convenient storage and great service!
I have rented a storage unit from this facility since 2004 and I cant say enough about what a great management team they have there. Since the beginning, all the managers have helped me out tremendously on communicating quickly when a shipment came in. They were so helpful, friendly and it truly feels like a partnership! Im a pharmaceutical rep. and my company actually chose Extra Space Storage as their preferred storage facility. That made me happy because I chose them first and it made my life a lot easier! Derek and Pete are great and have always been so good to me and provided the service that most other storage areas dont! You cant go wrong here!
We had to arrange last minute (and I mean minute) storage of entire house. Shad, the store manager, was great. He got us all set up quickly. Because there was a mixup in the system and the space we reserved turned out to be on the 3rd floor rather than the 1st, he gave us an even bigger space on the 1st floor to make it good. The space is dry and clean with stainless steel around all the walls. Unloading was simple. Easy passcode entry so we can get to it anytime during business hours. And its very convenient to our old and new houses. Moving is stressful but Shad and ESS made this step easy.
This was my first experience using a self storage unit. I had no idea what to expect or how it all works... Chris who is the local store manager, listened extensively to what my needs were before introducing me to the various offerings and special discounts that were available, he then guided me further to make a tailored choice to suit my needs. The space is super accessible, well lit, clean, and had an automatic temperature control system in place.... I would definately recommend, and reuse them as a preferred self storage facility.

Staff at this location was both helpful & sincere. They were able to help me find the best possible unit for my present storage needs. This location was clean and available for immediate use. I was able to begin my storage use right away w/out any problems and would gladly recommend their use to both friends & anyone looking for such needs. Since I was about to use them at a previous time, Im glad I came back to this location, presently, for my storage needs. Many thanks to Fred, in making differcult moments..not so bad after all.
Had a great experience at this location. It was my first time renting a storage place, and I had so many questions, but the manager, Derek, was fantastic, and explained everything in detail for me. I got a tour of the place, and before leaving, even though it was five minutes after closing, they took the time to make sure my keys and codes all worked. The whole place is kept extremely clean, and its well lit. It gave me a great feeling of security. I would recommend this place to anyone, for sure.
Very clean and well lit facility, easy to access by car (18 minutes from Boston) and super friendly and professional staff. We arrived one minute before closing after a long drive with the movers from New York and Derek stayed with us long after regular business hours in order to help us find the right unit. We felt safe leaving our belongings there. Highly recommended, one thing to consider though is that the prices are better when reserved through their website instead of on site.
The staff at Extra Space Storage are extremely helpful. I am going through a move and needed extra storage space and Im glad I chose to use this facility. From the moment I walked in to the office I knew I had chosen the right place. The process was fully explained, I was taken for a tour and not pressured into purchasing anything. The facility is very clean and secure. I would highly recommend using Extra Space Storage in Milton!
Tim was the representative I was fortunate to meet. He was very nice and patient. I reserved the unit online, to my dismay it was not the size I needed. Tim showed me three other options.(and Im picky so I had him reshow me before I made my final decision). I had my son with me (hes one). Tim made the process quick (with allowing me time to decide and catch up at times with my toddler) easy and understandable.
I have had an excellent experience so far using my unit at the Extra Space Storage in Milton. I literally walk across the street to my unit and am able to enter at times that are convenient for me ( including Sundays! ) Derek and Pete made my time comfortable and pleasing , as they shared some history about lower mills and Milton with me. This is a wonderful location and the staff members are awesome!!!
I love this facility, the staff always knows your name, from day one they made it the number one priority. They care about the customers, an in this day in age that type of commitment is dying. I feel like Im on a episode of cheers when I go by. I make sure to go to the office when ever I go to my unit, just because. An on top of that they all help you with every need, no matter how big or small.
This storage space is not only convenient if you have a car, but also very T accessible since the Milton line trolley stops right next door. The storage space is very accessible because of the hours, prices are reasonable, the building itself feels very safe and secure and the staff consisting of Derrick (manager), Paul, and Peter have been extremely helpful and made the move very easy.
Ive been using the MIlton Storage facility for a little over three years now and everything has worked out smoothly. Being an artist, I need lots of storage and easy access to it with lots of ramps and elevators etc. The storage facility in Milton is perfect for my needs. Id give this place a five star recommendation; its clean, spacious, friendly and convenient. David Stokle
