I live in MA and am waiting for a package from NJ containing 8 presents I need this week. The package was originally supposed to be sent out weeks before the Christmas rush. FedEx received the package on 12/9 and the last update was on 12/10. The seller who used this service said it was scheduled for delivery on 12/15. It is still not here on 12/17. When I called FedEx they said they were too busy to scan all these types of packages but they were sure it was on its way. When I asked how they know if it even left their facility, again I was told it could not be lost and was on its way. From what I can tell, they have no idea where the package is. With this service, I cannot even file a claim - I need the seller to do that. I rarely post negative reviews but FedEx SmartPost is terrible. Updated the next day: The funny thing is that after I asked the seller to file a claim for the package not being delivered, a miracle happened! Within hours it was found in the warehouse it has been sitting in and scanned before it left the building. So now that it is in Northboro MA it is only supposed to take 6 days to travel the 30 minute drive. As far as I can tell the rep was lying to me. Last update: Once the package arrived with the US Postal Service on a Saturday, I received in the following Monday. Sadly, not all the mugs arrived undamaged.

FEDUP with FEDEX DUMB POST Im so fed up with these people !!! 10 days to ship a 9 oz bike p[art 1 state over from RI to MA. 10 days this is ridiculous Im at a point now where I ask the person Im shopping from if they use FEDEX if they do I say forget it and go elsewhere unless they can use another post service , However this last one was the only people who had this part in stock. so my hand was forced I figured well we can see if they have gotten any better . The saddest part is they had to drive right by my house to drop off my package at the Postoffice who has been closed since 12 noon on Saturday and today is Monday Columbus day & Im still waiting! On a positive note My local Post office kciks but so I should be all set soon people rag on USPS but what they do not understand is the USPS handles more packages in a week than UPS and FEDEX < DHL handle in a month and they do it with a quickness too I ordered something from California on a Wednesday morning I had it in my hands Friday morning all the way across the country & I had it in 2 days. they are so quick the stuff gets here before the tracking numbers can update.... seriously

If I could give zero stars, I would. As a supply chain supplier, SmartPost is the most operationally inefficient shipping method I have ever witnessed. You would expect more from FedEx, but do not expect to receive your package in the projected 7-10 business days. Plan for a month, at least. SmartPost combines FedEx and USPS, which limits efficiency form the very beginning. FedEx has limited distribution centers, and waits for an predetermined allotted number of packages to be gathered before sending the package on its way. Much different from UPS who sends the package to its desired location without waiting for a full shipment of other packages. Back to SmartPost - once the product reaches the distribution center closest to you they hand off the package to USPS - which takes days as is. Essentially, the accountability of the product being delivered at all is transitioned from FedEx to USPS. Right there, you see the inefficiency and lack of accountability and respect to their customers. For that reason, I will not use SmartPost or FedEx shipping methods again.

This is the most godawful service on the face of the planet. Why on Gods green earth would FedEx WILLINGLY partner with the USPS? I mean, FedEx came into existence in no small part because they could do things far better than the USPS could. And yet now they partner up with them? Mystifying. Honestly, when I find out that a merchant uses SmartPost to ship their stuff - Keurig and LifeProof, Im talking about you in particular - I immediately stop shopping with them. (I just found out today that Keurig uses SmartPost, although I found out AFTERWARDS, because Keurig doesnt have the guts to make that known on their website, so I canceled my auto-delivery account with them.) I dont know if words can adequately convey just how much contempt and disgust I have for the SmartPost service (sic). It. Is. Horrible. Its a shame this rating system doesnt allow for a zero stars rating, because ZERO is exactly what SmartPost is worth.

I have had two packages, two different shippers, not delivered by this horrible "service". For one I had a tracking number and could see that the package was supposedly delivered to my local post office, and then out for delivery, but then the next entry said it was returned to the shipper. I called FedEx SmartPost and the representative told me that it was returned because the address was not correct. I have the invoice paperwork and the shipping address is indeed correct. On another order from a different shipper I checked at the Post Office and and they said they didnt have a package, but I had no tracking number on this one, so I guess its just disappeared. What a HORRIBLE service. I will not longer do business with any shipper using this service. The Post Office and FedEx are pointing fingers at each other - no one is responsible. Now I have to do all the legwork to get a refund for goods I paid for but never received.

My order was shipped from the supplier via Fed Ex on 7/14/15 and was estimated to be here Mon. 7/20/15 or Tues. 7/21/15 When I checked online on Tues. 7/20 it said it was in a town an hour from me (in CT). I figured OK so if not tonight then tomorrow. So today (Wed.) I checked again via Fed Ex website with my tracking number. OY VEH its now in MASS. --------- WHY? It was right here. WTH? These ppl have serious issues with being able to read or the driver got lost and somehow ended up giving up in MA? This mystifies me as to how they can be so negligent. They are being PAID for this lousy service. If I didnt do my job correctly I wouldnt get paid. Geesh. I checked again tonight and it still says that it was delivered to FEDEX SMARTPOST NORTHBOROUGH, MA at 3:04 am this morning. So it hasnt even moved today? Gosh, someone could have WALKED it to me by now, from the CT town it was in YESTERDAY!!

I did not realize SmartPost was NOT really a full-fledged FedEx service. I am typically well-served by FedEx, but SmartPost completely sucks! What should have taken 3-4 business days has taken over a week, and the delivery still has not been made. Even worse, the date of delivery on the tracking website went from Yesterday (which obviously did not happen) to Pending. Pending? What does that mean? How can you go from a detailed projection to essentially "I dont know when your package will be delivered"? I will definitely never use SmartPost again (and had I realized the USPS was involved, I wouldnt have used it this time)....and Im starting to consider dropping FedEx altogether too. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
