I can unfortunately not recommend this place at all . I went there 4 times . ( 2 times to get fixed what went wrong the time before ) I first wanted an ombré and i was not happy with it at all !!! I ended up with highlights in my ends and thick pieces of blond underneath and in the front .. It looked terrible !!!! So I went back in to get it fixed and it came out OK but I was not really happy with it . But they did really take good care of getting it fixed as soon as possible and of course for free ( I did pay a good amount to get it done in the first place ) A few months later I called and asked if they also do " purple hair " and I was told yes so I made an appointment ... The thing that I really do not like at this place is that you have to deal with 3 hair dressers during 1 appointment . I have the feeling you have to re- explain what you want over and over again cause it is always a different person for every step . I think that is where information and knowledge gets a bit lost . I got bleached and then they put the purple dye on ( I wish someone told me that goldwell elumen is a color that is not remove able at all !!!) Cause the bleach got washed out to earlie at the dark parts of the ombré ( you want it as light as possible not just lifted to a dark orange ..and washed after 10 minutes ..) I ended up with purple roots and orange / pink tips . As soon as I said i am not happy I got bleached again so we can fix it somehow . ( what I know now from just looking on google is that you can not bleach elumen .. It will just get brighter and brighter ... There is a color remover by goldwell just for elumen . You are not supposed to bleach over it .. It does the opposite of removing it .). After 8h I left the salon to go back the next morning so they can try to fix it again ..! 6h later ( and the third round of bleach over elumen in 24h .. ) I was done and it was again OK ..! My hair was not very happy about way to much bleach .. ( which was not necessary at all !!!!! It just made it worst and I wish the color specialist would have known how to work with that dye ) The color was bleeding like crazy for months and did not last good at all ..!!! After 10 weeks it turned peach .. And since that I was fighting with the peach / pink elumen left me with . All the bleach destroyed my hair so much and I could not get the peach out so I had to cut them very short now . :( I changed my hairdresser and it was very easy to achieve the purple and keep it .. But nothing could ever fix the ends .. I have to say that even though I had real bad color experience there ... the owner is a very very friendly guy . He tried very hard to make me happy with my hair and did not mind to stay open longer and try to fix it over and over again . Maybe I just had bad luck twice with my color specialist .. I just know that I am unhappy with my hair since over 1 year and I am still trying to fix it . The damage is done and I had to cut off a lot and cause I could anyways not get purple at the ends cause of the peach elumen leftover .. Great customer service but unfortunately I had the feeling that 2 out of 3 color specialists had no idea what they are doing and the one who did I just had for 10 minutes .. Sorry that I have to leave a bad review even though the owner is the nicest salon owner .. ! But I am suffering from what went wrong since almost a year now .. And it will take years until it is grown out ..! I am just hopping it does not all break off .. Sorry my English is not very good cause I am from Europe :)

I have been going to Scizzors to get my haircut since I was 4 years old, I am now 32 and I drive from Sturbridge MA to Shrewsbury MA to go to Scizzors. The environment at the salon is fun and hip and the stylists that work there are always so welcoming. They remember your name and remember what you last spoke about when you were last in to see them as well. I have gone other places to get my haircut and I was never as satisfied with my hair as I am every time I leave Scizzors. As a girl with bangs, I can tell you how many times they have been messed up somewhere else and I have to go a week with a "bad hair day." If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Its quality over quantity here, yeah the prices may be higher but it is worth every penny you spend on the quality of your style. And what is better than feeling great about yourself! My next appointment is in April and I cannot wait for my scalp massage and the great hair style Ill get from my stylist Dawna. They work as a team there, so everyone knows how you like your hair to be done, and they know how to execute it as well. I have decided on some very hair changing styles, and I am never disappointed. 1,000,000 gold stars!!!

If you are looking for a place with top quality hair treatments and an astounding atmosphere, Scizzors is the right salon for you! I have been going here for the past few years and I outright refuse to go anywhere else. Every 2-3 months I look forward to a luxury hair experience with Kim.I always come in for a de-mineralizer and a hair cut and I leave with soft, gorgeous hair and a smile. I cannot stress how much I love scizzors, I highly recommend this salon to everyone.

The owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. When you arrive they offer you a drink. The scalp massage is fabulous & never knew its what i needed in life. They use products for your hair type, not just generic products. Im very happy with my decision to go there & they have an awesome referral service, if you refer someone you get $20 off which is amazing (just make sure you know their first and last name). I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this salon!!! They are so focused on the clients that they wait on you - bring you a beverage of your choice (including wine), carry your pocketbook, put your legs us while washing your hair and then there is the scalp massage that finds its way down to your shoulders. They dont work on commission so they let you try out other stylists if you want. This is the BEST salon Ive ever been too.

The best customer service around for a haircut. The staff quickly welcomes you at the front desk with a drink of your choice. They give an excellent hair wash and scalp massage prior to your cut and then the stylist will take the time to understand exactly what you want. After repeat visits they always remember you and make you feel welcome. Always a pleasure to come here when its time for the next trim.
