These guys are horrible! I spent about an hour going over the custom exhaust that I wanted on my truck. Rocky which I believe is the owner or manager insured me that his technicians and his experience were the best in the area. After five months of having my exhaust on my truck I started having hangers pop loose from the welds. When I took it back to Midas they explained to me that the labor was not covered under warranty but only the muffler was. I then asked him why he would not stand behind his work especially after it not being on my truck for that long. He refused to help me in any way whatsoever. However he did offer to put a new customize exhaust on my truck for an additional thousand dollars. If you are a soldier living in the area or heck even working at Walmart In the Watertown area I would stay far away from these guys. They are cheap inexperienced liars and have no idea what customer service really stands for. I have suggested to the ACS building at fort drum to have them listed as a business not to send soldiers for auto repairs. You could probably have a blind person weld and exhaust on your truck better than these guys. And I honestly do not mean that in any insulting way towards a blind person whatsoever Im just trying to make a point. Bottom line Midas in Watertown New York can kick rocks.

went in for an oil change. They told me that I needed like 4 or 5 things worked on, 2 of which they said were urgent. Bill would have been at least 1k. I was a little suspicious because I had out of state plates so I thought maybe these guys think they can juice me. I looked online for a place that had a great review. If you want to know, it is Mass Motors over in Dorchester. Voted Best auto repair in Boston by the Boston A-list City voter. Anyways, they took me step by step through the things midas said i needed to get done and double checked them. quite a few of the items were not nearly as "urgent" as midas made them out to be. Honestly, I know having a car is expensive, but it really pisses me off when there is a business thats trying to pad their pockets with unnecessary maintenance. Maybe it wasnt on purpose, maybe its just that the mechanic was trying to be overly cautious. But my gut feeling is that they were trying to have one over on me and I wont be going back there any time soon.

Had an excellent experience with Steve over at this location. I hit a big pothole over the holiday weekend and it threw my exhaust system out of whack, I put in an appointment request online and Steve called me the next day. His crew was able to look over my car in a few minutes to determine the problem and order the parts they needed. My first appointment, I was there maybe 15 minutes. Very quick. I had to wait a few days extra for the parts to come in, I dont know if it had anything to do with my car being over 20 years old or if it was coincidence that they didnt have them on hand, but once they did, Steve got me in and completed the job in just a couple hours. He also let me know of a few other problems that needed attention but didnt try to get me to do anything that I didnt need. When the time comes, Ill be calling up Steve again to take care of it.

Chris and Steve run a shop that is reliable, easy to communicate with, and professional. I do not trust anyone to touch my car that is not recommended by their team, even for an inspection. My cars have been taken care of since 2008 and I have never had an unexpected issue or surprise on the bill. I usually have lots of questions and like to see what is wrong, this is not a problem for Chris and Steve. Its easy to make an appointment online via the website or with a quick phone call to the shop, because the word is out and its often busy. There is a comfortable waiting area and free wifi. Dunkin is a short walk as are a few other good spots to have a meal if waiting for service.

I asked for a tire rotation and oil change. I presented a coupon which made the tire rotation free. They changed my oil but the mechanic on duty said he didnt change my tires because the tread on the back was super low, so he didnt reccommend a tire rotation. A few weeks later I got curious and checked the tires myself. I found the tread to be nearly the same on all tires. So yeah, they did the oil change and provided decent customer service but I was quite upset when I found this out. I cant determine if they guy didnt do the rotation because he was lazy or because he saw the coupon but Ill give them another shot to see if this was a one time thing.

These guys were quick and honest as well. Even with a full shop Steve the manager fixed my radiator and heating in a couple hours and the best part at no cost!Anywhere else this quick fix would have been $100. Plus the first mechanic I went to didnt even know where to start. This was probably the best auto repair experience I have ever had. I will be coming back to this shop because they were incredibly fair even though they are a little further away.

After being told that I needed a $400 radiator job a week after head gasket work at my Subaru dealership I went to Watertown Midas to see what could be done. During the week of the 4th of July, Watertown Midas was able to quickly and cost effectively diagnose my problem down to a new radiator hose -costing $70. The guy who handle the front named Steve was also very polite. I rate highly Watertown Midas for their honesty, courtesy, and speed.
