The people at this dealership in the service department are completely incompetent. I had to deal with Kim Lexner, which was a nightmare. Then the general manager was even worse. My wife bought her tires from the Volkswagen dealership in Florida with a road hazard plan. One of the tires got a gouge in it while we were in Rhode Island. I called Scott Volkswagen to let them know and they were very unhelpful from the get-go. Kim Lexner told me there was nothing they could do. I called the dealership in Florida who said that was the most absurd thing they had ever heard. They faxed over the paperwork to the dealership in RI. Kim tried to backtrack her words. Scott Volkswagen ended up putting a patch on the tire and then claiming that they cannot do anything else. They charged me $40 for the patch. Remember WE PAID FOR ROAD HAZARD PLAN FROM VW (Universal). Then after the patch was put on I was on the phone with the road hazard people in front of Kim so she could hear. Again she tried to recant her words, she stated "The patch is temporary, we will reimburse you once the new tire comes in." She never planned on doing that. 3 weeks later, no new tire. She claimed because of dealership in Florida not putting "proper DOT number on invoice there was nothing they could do" This sentiment was repeated by the GM (general manager at Scott VW). It was all BS. I spoke to the road hazard people and they said all Scott VW had to do was pen that number on the invoice and it that would be acceptable. Still the GM would not do it and wanted the dealership from FL to resend, making things more difficult. I waited another week (after dealership in FL resent paperwork) and nothing. Spoke to Kim again who said the parts guy was supposed to call me "weeks ago and let me know it got denied." The road hazard people said they would have replaced the tire, but due to the incompetence of this dealership now I have to have a patch Tire. I have never been so unhappy with service in my life. Do not take your car to this dealership, they are incompetent. They wanted to get away with not having to do the work, and they played games over a 3 to 4 week period. The general manager called me and got in an argument with me, very unprofessional. In the end they stated they could not do anything. I will be taking this up through VW Corporate and my Lawyer. Never dealt with anybody like this in my life. Save youself a headache DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!

MISREPRESENTED, DISHONEST, AND A WAIST OF TIME Not one to write reviews, but felt I had to share this story.... My husband and I are from NYC and have been looking for a year old Touareg TDI Sport with low millage, which is not an easy feet. This will explain why we spent almost 8 hours traveling back and forth to Road Island to Scott Volkswagen in order to pick up a 2012 Touareg TDI Sport with 12,000 miles on it. We found the car on line and discussed its condition in detail and made a deal via phone and managed to get up to them 5 days later. Upon arriving they had us sign and close the deal and told us they where going to get the car filled with gas while we did so. We thought great how nice. Then we asked to see the car........ Electrical problems with the trunk...... A broken piece of plastic hanging off the right front bumper..... Very damaged inside consul and stained ceiling.... (I know it is used, but this was wear and tear of 5 years plus not 1...we have bought many used cars in the past) And last but not least 10% more on the milage. 13,000 not 12..... To say the least we where very upset, but decided to see if they would fix the damaged parts and we would except the car. We just could not understand how they could not disclose this information before we came, but felt like we had driven this far and we knew how hard it was to find one these SUVs. But they would not fix anything, they just wanted to offer another $400.00 off the car, so we ended up having to walk out. No apology, no offer for gas or even a measly lunch while we waited and waited for them to make a decision on weather or not they would fix anything. But all stories should have a happy ending. After being so disappointed we ended up with a 2013 Touareg TDI with 2,500 miles on it for only 2k more at another dealership closer to home!!! By the way did I mention it is a LUX!! How do you like that!!!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE You will EVER have is at this dealership. Went in there interested in a used VW Tiguan for my wife that I saw on CARGURUS which according to them was $1400 OverPriced! I bought this to their attention and thats when they truly became extremely defensive and outright hysterical. Never in my life have I experienced a dealership who was as UNPROFESSIONAL as the female salesperson that we dealt with and the sales manager. They literally wrote up a price on a yellow notepad and asked me to sign it that shows I agree to buy the car right then and there...They asked if I can meet in the middle and she took off $500 which according to basic math was NOT the middle...so then she went to check with the manager about the price that I felt was fair based off CarGurus and their analysis of the vehicle she returned and said "No" with a really crappy attitude. So then the sales manager comes and I tell him the same thing I told her which he already heard since he was sitting across from our desk and he said they cant because they arent making enough profit on it which is hard to believe since they were $1400 OVERPRICED. Overall, my wife and I were appalled by the attitude of the female sales rep who shouldnt be working in a sales environment if she cant take some negotiating and a customer not agreeing to her price. She was Delusional along with the sales manager to try and sell that car for $1400 More then what its value is. All in all if you are looking to purchase a vehicle AVOID this place at ALL COSTS as you will not enjoy your time there and if you bring other sources that show them that they are Wrong in their pricing they will get very very defensive. And oh Hey Scotty, how about training and hiring salespeople who know how customer service works instead of spending all your time doing god-awful commercials... Cheers

***UPDATE 1/11/17*** I went back to Scott VW today and The ENTIRE TEAM went above and beyond to ensure I didnt make the wrong decision by giving ScottVW a second chance! Im elated by the professionalism and effort put into fixing the issues I was having, Its quite a 180 degree path from where we were last week! Mr. Scott himself took the time to let me know what he expects from his team. Very impressed. Thanks again to everyone! -Adam ************************** I love the car I purchased but there were multiple mistakes that would prevent me from ever purchasing or servicing my car here ever again and would invite you to explore why. If you value knowledgeable sales staff and a business that stands by their products and services, you may not find it here. 1) While the sales staff was nice, they were unknowledgeable of the services they offered and unintentionally mislead me on purchasing a "certified preowned" car that was not "VW certified" even though they had signage up IN THEIR SHOW ROOM for "VW preowned certified". The car was actually "Carfax certified" which offers little to no benefit to me purchasing the car there. The sales guy apologized for the misleading signage, but him nor his managers would do nothing at all to make it right besides offer some words of condolences after promising they they would go through everything from top to bottom before I signed the paperwork. I found out the car was purchased from a rental car place and the 20k miles put on the car were done in under a year which makes me feel uneasy about even stepping in the door. 2) When I drove off the lot, the car was also low on engine coolant and I had to go back ASAP to have it serviced. Its a shame that this place runs contrary to their core values, I expected better for a purchase as big as a car.
