Village European now employees three of the most unethical people you will ever meet. Myers, VanSicklen and Mills comprise the lowest of the sleaze in our industry. Why do I know? The all worked here at one time. Over charging, shoddy diagnoses and charging for work not being done is the mainstay of these three. As to the claim of expertise and "getting it right"...sure; VanSicklen has, in his wake, blown up three Audi engines he worked on here. Ms. Mills has slapped us with a bogus sexual harassment suit filed against me (ask her why she was fired from Foreign Motors West before we hired her here...lol) Myers stole technical information from us before leaving (and tried to steal the company laptop and our customer list!) and VanSicklen broke into our building at night after disconnecting the alarm system and stole all of our special tool for Audi. Wanna get screwed by these guys? Then take your car to European. The principle, Dave, has been overcharging for years at his other shop Benz Den in Belmont; ask any customer who has been there. New name, new location same old tricks. Beware! PS_ Kathy the person who wrote the "glowing" review of Village European is OMG, what a surprise, Ms. Mills of the very same company! What a surprise...

For both my 2001 BMW 740i (a somewhat high-maintenance car, although fun to drive), and the 2007 Audi A8 that replaced it (an amazingly reliable car over the almost 5 years Ive had it), Ive always been very impressed by the work done by Village European, and Chip Myers (who used to work at a similar shop in Lexington). Chip and the rest of the team have a friendly and confident manner, and are expert at all things Audi, BMW, Mercedes and they always do a great job. Each time Ive needed service, such as LOF, 55K service, tire / wheel service, suspension parts needing replacement, engine control systems (CEL, O2 sensors etc.), or preventative cooling system service (on the BMW), it has always been done right the first time, in a very timely manner and with a very pleasant attitude. This is in contrast to the experiences Ive had at various dealers (Acura, Honda, Audi, etc.) in the past where problems didnt get solved right over multiple visits, or the car ended up needing extra days to get all the needed parts, etc. So I think the small team approach of Village European leads to predictably good results without that feeling of being overcharged or getting lost in the bureaucratic shuffle that happens at some dealers.

After almost two years, I finally found the car which fulfills a lifelong passion. A red 1989 560sl was sitting in the showroom just waiting for me. Perfect! Previously a one owner local car with low miles with an outstanding service history from Village European, it was delivered to me in near pristine condition. Ray McGowen and Village European owner Dave Clark really know how to put it all together for the customer. Ray is the quintessential sales manager who takes the time to understand the passion one has for a particular model. No detail too small when it comes to customer satisfaction. Dave Clark, in addition being the owner and head mechanic, made sure the car was as mechanically close to perfect on the day I took delivery. Ray took care of any cosmetic details and was great to work with right from the outset beginning with my first phone call and visit to Village European. And of course Jake took care of the service details in the background. I not only have the car of my dreams, but also new friends who will always be there for the continued service of my 560sl and for my future purchase considerations. Thanks Guys!

Buying a used car through Village European was a great experience. They helped me find my dream car, and dealt with the private seller for me to assure that I was getting a good deal on a good car. Dave is a very knowledgeable, detailed, experienced mechanic. Before he buys any car, he does a detailed inspection of all parts, inside and out, so you know youre getting a car with no issues. If there are any minor mechanical or body issues, they will be professionally repaired before you receive the car. Village European took care of all of the paperwork for me - title transfer, warranty transfer, registration, state inspection, carfax check, etc. I didnt have to do any running around. I identified the car I wanted, met with them once to sign all of the paperwork, then came back a week later to pick it up and drive away. My new (used) car is beautiful, and my buying experience was incredibly easy.

Dave and Chip are wonderful professionals who really care about you and your car. They know Audis and BMWs inside out and are committed to doing the best job possible. They also take extra time to make sure you understand what is needed and why. I recently had to have my car towed because of a check engine light and, what we thought to be a low oil pressure light. Both Dave and Chip spent hours going over the car trying to diagnose the problem and talking to my husband and myself. It turned out to be nothing serious and I was charged the Diagnostic fee only. I have since taken it back for service and couldnt be happier. They charge a fair price for great work. As an Audi owner for many years I have found that many mechanics really dont know how to work on my car or misdiagnose issues. This will not happen with Village European. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I thought Id try this Audi Certified shop to assure top quality service. They were prompt in handling my repair but after paying a $940 bill, the core problem was right back. They said it would be hundreds more to fix it. At that point, I asked why they charged $95 diagnostic charge in addition to the parts and labor for the repair. Seemed like a relevant question since they obviously misdiagnosed the problem the first time and it took then 5 minutes to come back with the new diagnosis. I pointed out that most places, including dealerships, dont included that charge when you get the repair. I was told that never mind my past experience, and the many receipts I have that show no such charge, the other places actually do include that charge. Went back to my old neighborhood shop and they fixed the problem for $65.

I took my car here for new front brakes. I was given an estimate for new front brakes, new calipers, and a brake flush of $1,384.41. While the guy working the desk was very friendly I could immediately tell it was one of those garages which would do all the work they could possibly convince you you needed on the car... they werent going to be completely honest with you. I picked up my car because I felt that was ridiculous and felt I was being taken for a fool. I called around to many other garages to get an estimate on the same work and no one quoted me over $700 so I knew I was being scammed. I took it to another local garage and got the same exact work done that Village European said I needed done for a grand total of $543........... Dont make the mistake of getting your routine maintenance done here
