My package was scanned as accepted on the 30th. Mail carrier picked it up here at my residence on the 28th. It then went directly from my local post office to Allen Park, which is a Sort Facility separate from the post office. Different place. So packages that are mailed other than in Allen Park, go directly to the Sort Facility. So its almost the 6th, 11:00 p.m. on the 5th., and the package was received by "Allen Park" on the 30th of April at 3:05 a.m. So a few hours shy of 6 days. I have contacted the 800 number twice; written two messages, one which was sent to be resolved by the post office in Denton TX, where the package is supposed to go. Does that make sense???????????? I was told by the 800 number that the "issue was resolved." That Texas called me, and they did, and told me they hadnt been able to reach Allen Park and would continue to try. The "resolved" issue statement says that I told them, okay, Ill just keep checking the tracking, and they closed it. ????????????????????? HELP!! Called Allen Park Post Office, they gave me number to sort facility. called sort facility, answered with: Our number has been changed to: 1-800. . . the USPS 800 customer service number. TX gave me a different number for the sort facility; that number answers immediately with a busy signal, ALWAYS. So now Im trying to write customer service again, for the last 11 hours, and I get an error each time I submit it. Messaging is not available right now. So please tell me, does this Sort Facility function in a bubble, all alone, separate from any other postal center and no one knows how to reach it for assistance??????????????????????? I was tempted to drive there, about an hour away, but going to the post office would do no good; its not there. And the sort facility does not have a customer service entrance of any kind. How can this be????????????????? So a customer has paid me hard-earned money for the things she purchased. The projected delivery date was last Tuesday, the 3rd. This is not the first time I have had this problem with the Allen Park Sort Facility, but it was never this bad. Usually a few days and it would pop up in the tracking as having left. This time they have potentially ruined a new customer relationship. Why? Because they dont do their job. Period. If they dont have enough help, I get that. But I know how quickly people CAN work when they need to. I can guarantee you they are NOT doing all they can. And they may be terribly underpaid, have poor management, etc. etc. And that makes me feel bad. But I pay for this service and depend on it to help earn my livelihood. This cant go on. I will have to find another way to ship my packages from now on. A huge inconvenience and likely more costly. I am really frustrated and angry that NO ONE can contact these people in the sort facility and talk to a human being that can help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me rant. Again, this is for the Sort Facility, NOT the Allen Park Post Office. I dont want people to misunderstand and think the Allen Park Post Office is at fault. They are NOT. Im sure they do their job really well. They have no control over the Sort Facility and the packages that go there.

well, here we are, SEPTEMBER 10, 2015 & STILL DO NOT HAVE PACKAGE THAT WAS MAILED ON AUGUST 20, 2015 !! Called ALLEN PARK, was told the package was sent to ATLANTA. on AUGUST 29, 2015....called ATLANTA, they have not seen package.....TRACKING ON PACKAGE SAYS IT ARRIVED IN ALLEN PARK ON AUGUST 27, 2015 at 6:33a AND DEPARTED ALLEN PARK on AUGUST 27, at 6:38a....SOMEONE IS LYING....you do realize that I CAN< & WILL FILE A CIVIL LAWSUIT......FIND MY PACKAGE & GET IT TO ME, AND IT HAD BETTER BE IN THE SAME CONDITION IT WAS IN WHEN MAILED.....I AM OUT OF PATIENCE & TIRED OF BEING LIED TOO>>>>I MEET WITH MY ATTORNEY LATER TODAY.>>>YOUR MOVE TODAY IS 9-11.......STILL NO PACKAGE.......BUT NOW THE STORY HAS CHANGED...AGAIN....NOW I AM TOLD THE PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2015.......REALLY ? I would give negative zero stars if I could. I mailed a medium sized brown box out June 1st and its been stuck at this sorting facility for 20 days now. The sad part is the final destination for the package is only 30 minutes away from where its sitting. As an ebayer this is really frustrating because I now have to go through the process of refunding the buyer. If I knew it was going to be trapped here I would have bought insurance. 4 attempts to call and find the package and every time Im told they will escalate the case and I would receive a call back but yet I dont hear anything after the initial call. I have had issues with USPS multiple times but this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. There is no reason why a package should be sitting in one place for 20+ days.

I had a first class package that was shipped from Quincy, MA on July 17, 2015 to be delivered to Perrysburg, OH. It arrived at Allen Park, MI on July 20, 2015, which was the estimated delivery date. Today, July 22, 2015 I received a text that it departed at 2:44 am. Later in the day I received texts saying it departed at 7:39 pm and then shortly after that it departed 8:10 pm. Clearly the people there do not what is going on. When I contacted the USPS to file a complaint, I was informed that now the expected delivery is July 24, 2015. Perrysburg less that 1.5 hours from Allen Park. Im glad that the shipment was not terribly important, but first class mail should arrive earlier than one week. It used to when the sorting facility was in Toledo, OH.
