I ultimately chose this facility for several reasons. I was able to gain 24 hour access and they had the best loading area isolated from the elements with plenty of space. The icing on the cake was working with Ryan he was very personable and patient. He was able to answer all of my questions and unlike some facilities, that just showed me a fake storage space and said here are the sizes, he gave me a tour.. They do have the sizes in the lobby area to show you but his willingness to show me how everything worked along with what would be "my storage unit" ultimately tipped the scales in my decision. I wish I could give 5 stars but my one concern is that they can raise your price based on availability. Ryan was very upfront about this and offered a few solutions. He was very forthright in this corporate policy. It is month to month there so raising the price isnt that big of a concern. If it gets too high you can leave. I would recommend this facility based on cleanliness and fantastic customer service.

Clean enough, but the building is and equipment are worn. Holes in the walls, carts with bent/stuck wheels, etc. Additionally, their pricing tends to jump SIGNIFICANTLY year over year. They jumped us from about $75/month to $120/month in 2011 and we are long time customers since 2006! It would be one thing if we had never seen an increase and they had to bump our rates up as a result, but increases have always been consistent (even if they were smaller). When I asked for clarification/justification for the exorbitant jump in rates, no reasonable explanation was given. Asking to speak with the manager resulted in no call back. We are now actively searching for another storage facility that takes a little more care with their customers. I would avoid this place and check one of the dozens of other storage places in the area.

Called here to get a quote on a unit. The man who answered the phone was very impolite, and took much longer than necessary to pull up a simple price. After I finally got the quote, I thanked him and tried to get off the phone, but he just wouldnt let me go. My other line was beeping, so I was trying to get off quickly and politely, but each "Thank you, goodbye!" caused him to talk harder and faster, trying to get out his schpeel. I ended up cutting him off and hanging up- ALL I WANTED WAS A QUOTE. I ended up missing the call on the other line, but thats ok, because it was THEM, using caller ID to call me back! I would not recommend this company, just on their phone etiquette!! They were also one of the highest quotes that I received...No thanks!

The Simply Self Storage facility on State Street in Ann Arbor, MI is top notch. Always clean and easily accessible. The property manager, Ryan, is always friendly and professional.
