12am-5am EST every day charter will disconnect randomly for 20-minutes to an hour and a half worth of time. I work from 3 pm to 11:30 pm most nights sometimes less sometimes more. sucks not being able to listen to music to fall asleep to when i get home through youtube or listen to some youtuber play a game to fall asleep to, really anything involving internet. Im not even using a router just hard lining right into the modem....and if I chose to use my router its a good quality 200$+ one as well that handles connections well up to 1gbps+ The technician was kind that came out, i even bought him a beer after his job and after his shift. Him and his wife are nice people. But the company is mentally handicapped.. its a shame they have technicians who are good people working for them because their main headquarters sucks and their service sucks. even if my internet was down only 30 minutes a day... add that up over a year.. thats right.. HUGE amounts of time. Im paying for internet every second eveyr month. I better get crystal clear connection or at least be told my area is having issues and theyll keep me posted through my email or my phone. So.........average rating for an average ISP. Good people. Bad service.

Charter signed me up, but did not deliver. A Tech came out to my house and said all looks good. He stated they needed to extend the line down the poles down my property line and called in the request with me present. He was told it would take 3-4 weeks to extend the line and they would call me. I waited and never heard from Charter. I called Charter a month later and was told that they cancelled my order (just never told me). Apparently Charter does not see a positive enough return on investment to extend the line to support only 2 houses. A company that valued their customers would have called me and offered options - a line extension fee or a multi-year contract. Yet Charter did not see value in me as a customer.

Worst experience ever, I should have never cancelled my Dish to add Charter cable, Ive been calling to find out why my bill is high they gave me a different reason after today, now they tell me 3 tiers of service has been added along with movies ordered via remote control during the past 3 months.... this feature is a scam they never told me there was a feature on the remote before. Now my bill is $200 I cannot afford with my husband being on disability. I really shot myself in the foot with this company. They werent willing to help me at all. Do your self a favor ...stick with DISH or another cable internet company. Im this biggest loser ever, dont know what Im going to do now.

We had wonderful service for about three months, then it all went to hell. They kept sending someone out and they kept telling us someone else would have to come and perform maintenance. It took 3 weeks for the maintenance man to finally show and it didnt help. They say theyre the "Best of the Best!" but they seem to go down quite often. For instance...TODAY! May 11th, 2016, the internet went down around 10pm and so did all their helplines. Its pathetic we pay so much for an unreliable service! I cant wait to find someone else because Im tired of putting my job on the line for NO SERVICE AND NO OWNERSHIP!!!

Did not appreciate the fact that I made an appointment for someone to come replace my box and they cancelled my appointment because I didnt have my phone near me to answer their phone call. They had my f-ing address. They should have stopped by and knocked to make sure "I was still having trouble with my service". I made the appointment, obviously Im still having trouble or I wouldve cancelled it myself. Kind of pissed that I have to AT LEAST give them a 1 star rating because they dont even deserve that. Also, the lady that works for lapeers local dispatch for charter can choke on a dick.

If I could have figured out where to send an e-mail to an actual person, I would have. We typically watch Channel 12 news daily in the morning and usually in the afternoon . All of a sudden this massage pops up on my TV screen. Pursuant to FCC rules the program airing at this time must be deleted by this Cable system. This program is available on another channel. Really? I received no notification . I have been seeing references to Dish Network doing this, but none in regards to Charter/Spectrum. What gives ?

This company sucks. Their customer service is terrible; to the point of where they will "threaten you" if you call them out, and their internet is so inconsistent that its unreliable. I cant even have a video chat with my friend in Manistee Michigan for more than 20 minutes (He also has Charter). He has it worse than I do. His internet goes out RANDOMLY at any time of the day for like 2-3 hours... multiple times a day. Horrible, horrible company. Would switch if there were alternatives.

if i could rate this with no stars i would. the last seven years my families household and my own household has used charter internet and cable services. we have had nothing but problems especially with the internet. i was paying for 30 mbps and i was barely getting 15 mbps. not to mention every night at the same time the internet is down for a good hour or two.i would never recommend charter communications to ANYONE!!!!!! ...so very disappointing!!!

This is the worst company Ive ever seen. Theyve not only lost me my job at home once. They continue to provide the worst possible service and charge high prices for this lack of proper service. The worst part is they hold a monopoly over Davison. They bought out the service area and is one of the only providers for the local area. Whatever happened to preventing monopolies and giving us broader selections?

Worst cable company ive ever used in my life first 3 weeks i couldnt use my cable or internet they credited me 5 dollars lol Constantly not working guide never works nor does the on demand i reccomend no cable around this area also pay for 75 megs down i get about 30 to 40 you get half of everything you pay for they should be shut down scammers

Charter is over priced and provides bad cable and Internet services. Their advertisements talk about how DirecTV nickle and dime customers, but Charter is far worse. Their ads also point out how DirecTV loses picture during heavy rain storms, but I have experienced similar conditions for longer periods of time with Charter.

I worked cable for a few years and know they are bullcrap! We pay for business service and get residential at best quality..

unbelievable high price of basic cable and internet. Will eventually price themselves out of business. I pay $170 a month for basic cable I watch 2 hours a week. Internet is only thing I really use and it drops in and out all the time. To think TV service was free at one time.

We have had charter for 2 years now a little pricy but so far no problems with people or their service they are allways on time or early to the service call when needed. Internet cuts out here and there but way better then any other service we habe tried.
