Im not even sure that you deserve a 1 star review. If I had the option you wouldnt get any. I was shopping around at different cable providers. In order to see if the availability is in your area, you must provide your address. So I did, and your salesman from the online sales team, showed up at my house at 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night. First of all, couldnt you have called? Or sent me an email, not just show up unannounced. Anyway, he seemed to have loved his job, and was very passionate. I was able to get faster internet, and save $20 a month so I figured why not. Went ahead and signed up for installation. The salesman then proceeded to tell me that he found me attractive, and that he thought it was a good idea we should hang out. He proceeded to ask me personal questions and continue to vigorously express his opinion that we should "chill." I became super uncomfortable, and he advised someone would contact me later to confirm the installation appointment. He wrote his phone number on the new customer signup sheet (which also contained my personal information) and advised that I should give him a call. Later that evening he proceeded to text me "whats good sweetie." How did he get my phone number? I didnt give it to him, he took it upon himself to take my personal information and thought it was ok for him to text me. I did not respond. I then get another text the following night "Hey Laurie." I still did not respond, and havent heard from him since. I felt extremely uncomfortable and wanted to cancel my installation service. When I called after work on Monday, I was advising the lady I was speaking to of the situation. She went on to say that it was very unprofessional. However, she also proceeded to tell me that there must have been some part of the story that I was leaving out. Hinting at the fact that she did not believe my story. It was rude of her, and why would I make something like this up? Im a single woman, who lives alone and now one of their salesman not only has my phone number (which has since been blocked) but also my address. I will make sure that no one I know continues with your service ever again. Not only was my privacy violated by your salesman, when I called to make the complaint and cancel my installation, the lady on the phone told me that she felt I was leaving a part of the story out, and did not fully believe me. Because I like random people trying to sell me cable at 8:30 p.m. on a Friday evening who got my address from online of me just looking around at other cable; and I like your salesman taking my personal information off a contract and finding it ok to take my phone number and text me from it. No, I do not, you should really look in to your employees. He violated my privacy and I will make sure that everyone is aware of the situation.

My complaint is with their customer service reps they are all rude, un helpful, and DO NOT LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER!!!! We had an issue where we were late on our payment because crap happens right? We paid more than half of what was owed and had a balance of 90.00. They turned off the cable and internet (even after we paid more than half of what was due). Fine, then on a SUNDAY 515PM they sent their collection guy to the door wanting the other 90.00. I told him that we spoke to a rep when we paid the 150.00 and told them we would pay the remainder 90.00 the following wed. He gave us a hard time and said that f not paid that day that a tech would come out and hard disconnect us the following day. I immediately called their wonderful customer "Care" department (I use wonderful loosely here). She then tells me that the tech already hard disconnected us. I started laughing because No NO they did not NO ONE had been in our yard at the pole that day. The cable was still hooked up and we have the WOW logo bouncing all over our t.v and still have very limited internet usage. She refused to listen and kept arguing with me and I mean arguing. I even told her she needed to stop reading what her computer said and listen to the customer being I am right here and she is not. I hung up after telling her that they were nothing but rude and unhelpful. I then paid the past due balance when I said I would. I called wow Customer "Care" and spoke to someone who one could barely speak english and two tried telling me again that it was hard disconnected. I stopped her in her tracks and explained to her that it is not yada yada She proceeded to tell me that I now have to pay 40.00 installation fee and the upcoming current bill in order to get my services back. I was furious I asked why would I pay an installation fee when everything is still connected!!!! I told her I wanted to be transferred to another department that can help she said they cant transfer I said B.S you transfer me all the time. I then demanded to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 30 min!!! I think she was hoping I would hang up. No supervisor available really??? She took call back info and it now has been an hour and nothing. This company says that they will do what it takes to make the customer happy, that here at wow we pride ourselves on our customer service.. Really?? Because from this end your customer service is absolutely disgusting!!! Get it together WOW train your people to LISTEN to the customer NOT TALK AT THE CUSTOMER!!!!!!!

I would give them Zero stars if possible! Horrible customer service. The actual cable service isnt horrible but I still prefer Comcast. Here is why they are horrible: I was late on returning my cable boxes after ending my relationship with them. My fault, I understand. I did return them within 2 months and they provided me a receipt and said everything on my account is settled. 2 yrs later I am applying for a FINRA Securities License through work and I find out WOW has reported me to a credit agency that I owe $240 for the cable boxes I returned. I contact WOW and the rep confirms their records show I dont owe anything and the boxes are returned on 10/1/2014 and that I need to call the collection agency to settle the matter. ok. I call the collection agency and they say WOW never notified them that the account was settled so I need to file a dispute that takes 30 days. Heres my predicament: applying for the securities license required a background check and credit check which shows I have this account in collection and now I only have 3 days to provide them proof that I dont actually owe WOW. I call WOW back and after finally speaking to a supervisor they tell me they CANNOT provide anything showing I do not owe them money and that its the collection agencies fault. How is it the collection agencies fault? They work FOR WOW! The supervisor kept saying hell go the extra mile to email his superiors to assist but the superiors will get back to me "when they get back to me" basically. I should have monitored my credit closer but I never would have expected a company to refuse to provide a letter or statement showing I do not owe them any money in such an urgent situation especially since they are in the wrong and have been screwing up my credit for 2 yrs!! NEVER USE WOW. THEY HAVE HORRIBLE RECORD KEEPING AND CANNOT FIX THEIR ERRORS EVIDENTLY!
