When you think of U-save, you will think you save money but in all honesty it has been the exact opposite. The biggest headache Ive had in all my life and Im usually a patient person and never write a bad review. I was given an estimate of $950 to my move to Florida. Then because I added a few smaller items (no furniture) it was increased to $1400. And even so I was still willing to comply. I was then charged for all the packing(tape, wrapping). I was given a pickup date by Briana for July 29 its a Saturday which I have on the estimate paper. I gave up work for the day to help with moving. All day and they didnt show up and I called and this lady tells me its for Sunday ! Because they dont pick up Saturday. Then why the hell will you book me for a Saturday and make me lose money. Once they finally picked up our stuff I was relived that it was over. Now a month later, I had told them Im ready for deliver august 15. Its Sept 16 and my stuff still not here. The guy finally calls and says he will bring my stuff on Monday Sept 18. But then he tells me that its likely that the truck doesnt fit in my area and that he will need to get a smaller truck and we must pay another $400! What !!!! On the contract it asked of a 48 trailer fits and I said yes. But the guy is telling me its 65!!!!! Of course that wont fit its huge ! We told him he must bring our stuff that its not fair and the guy(I think his name is Julian) dares to hang up on me! How much more unprofessional can it get. Oh but this is not over yet, I am not paying $400 extra. Im not bank. If I have to take this further to court I will. They have made way too many mistakes.

a relley bad deceiving moving company if that what you want to call it on their wesite show a picture of a semi truck the owner said they will bring it i told him we had a large house four br a full basement a garage to my surprise two little rental trucks show up i ask were was the big semi he said would not start he did not know my husband was a big truck mechanic in the military for 10yrs he agree to go fix it but he just lieing about the truck it was getting no were we had our back to the wall we tryed other movers but all was busy the owner was so worried we had call another mover he then start bad mouthing a number of companies like two men a host of other they were lucky we could not get a last minute mover we only use them for four long grueling hours save your self do not i repeat do not use u-save by the way the photos on their site is family and friends not actual customers i over heard one of the movers say to another we have ut up date my friend photo on our webpage DECEIVING THE PUBLIC

Former employee. Checks bounced many times and were always short. Very unprofessional. Can verify the use of drugs in vehicle and on job site by other employees. No uniforms. Owner is useless and disrespectful. For a company that claims to make over 250k per yr they are still using rental Budget trucks and operate out of his own house. Drivers are not chauffer licensed nor have dot medical card. Unprofessional equipment. I have personally seen others damage property and hide it and steal from customers. Once had an issue with partner Scott for giving us a higher price for a customer than what the payment sheet stated and was disrespectfully talked to for giving the customer what i believed to be the correct payment due instead of the higher payment i was told. Im honestly ashamed of having worked there and quit in less than 1 month. I recommend nobody use this company. Would give negative 5 stars if possible.

Ask "Jay" for his government name, and type it into MDOC Otis inmate offender search! I have heard He is a criminal! I have also heard His partner Scott will show up to a jobs site smelling like alcohol! Ask U-haul about "u-save " and "Jay". He is in my opinion a racist! I have heard stories of improper equipment, unprofessionalism , DAMAGED property, and hidden charges! Isnt it ironic his rebuttal to each bad review is a paragraph of semi hostile excuses that begin with "its a competing moving company?" I have also heard the good reviews are self proclaimed and /or friends of "Jay".. I have also heard his employees do not undergo drug testing or background checks! Hmmm? In my opinion I would not embark on a business venture with "u-save moving and storage"! In my opinion they seem "very unprofessional"! - a concerned customer that will not repeat service!

We had U-Save move us from a 2400 ft. condo into a 1400 ft. one. This was a challenging situation in which we had to move unessential items to a 10x15ft storage space, then move the rest of the household items to the new condo, on a second floor. They traveled from Lansing to Ann Arbor to help us make this move. Scott, Miguel and Joe were very professional in every regard. They were efficient, very friendly and so strong. They handled our antiques, some of which are very heavy, with the utmost care. We are leasing now, but within the upcoming year plan to purchase a home. We will be calling U-Save again when we need help moving. We highly recommend U-Save, even for a move in the Ann Arbor area. Fred Miller

I cant say enough wonderful things about these guys. I had a super last minute move (I called Monday and was moving that same weekend) and Jay gave me a great quote (literally HALF the price that 2 men and a truck gave me) for a move from Lansing to the northwest suburbs of Chicago on a Sunday. The two gentleman who did the move were on time, quick load in and drop off - under an hour to load and under two hours to drop off at a 3rd story walk up with more heavy furniture and boxes than one woman should have. Not to mention they drove in a huge snowstorm blanketing Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. You would make a mistake to go with anyone but U-Save in Lansing. Thanks again guys! I will be highly recommending you.
