I worked here during the spring/summer as a package handler and let me tell you I have never worked with more inept people in my life. What should be a simple, straightforward job is a logistical nightmare. Its the island of misfit administration. Anyone who couldnt hack it in the real world can land a position they are unqualified for. And you would think working at a shipping center would be a more no nonsense atmosphere. This was the bitchiest place I have ever been employed at. As a package handler, you are responsible for shouldering all blame. If a package comes down the line to you broken, or the driver breaks it, you get written up. If a driver decides they dont want to deliver the package, they just scan it as a misload or broken. You get written up. If anyone outside of your job doesnt do theirs and it looks like they might get written up, you get written up. If there are disagreements between how the driver wants their truck loaded and how Fedex wants it done, you are seen as the problem and combatitive. I liked the work, it was easy. It was the fastest job Ive ever had. But this is why your packages are coming late and broken. They have the highest turnover rate I have ever seen. They cant keep anyone good unless youre completely desperate and need the job and it wont get any better until the people actually responsible for the problem are dealt with. Dont believe me? Look up any complaint about the position and you will see it echoed repeatedly. I no longer have to hear the high pitched ramblings or ignorant anecdotes from the brain dead, and I thank God everyday it was just a second job.

Terrible service. Didnt make the first delivery date on their tracking. Then we had difficulty getting a new estimate. Finally, they left our 110 lb package in front of our garage door, which is 45 ft from our front door (and not visible from the house), and just left. No delivery to the front door, no doorbell ring, no call. Finally, that evening, had a call from a neighbor letting us know there was a package out front. Then my wife and I (both near 70 years old) had to wrestle a 110 lb bulky package 45 ft and up three steps to our front door. Then, when I tried to complain to FedEx via email, all I got was generic emails (from a different person each time) without any reference to my original complaint. I would never recommend them, and we are letting the company we purchased from know of our experience. To bad this review forced me to check atleast one star.

Awful customer service!! promised that my package would be held at a store closer to me and it was not. was put on hold after a 55 min phone call and never returned to the phone. The manager of the ground facility assured me I would have the package and now they can even give it to me if I drive to get it. been waiting for a package for 3 days and can not get what is mine. If its your business on the line I would use someone else. AWFUL Customer service!

Horrible service!!!! I was at home with garage door wide open, 2 dogs that bark at the slightest movement on the lawn, television on, car in the driveway for 2 days in a row waiting on my cell phone which required a signature! Apparently the driver couldnt be bothered ringing the door bell or knocking, just slapped a sticker on the door and left!

Driver never attempted delivery and fedex notification states that I (customer) was not at home! Called customer service - hung up the phone numerous times. Came to Lake Orion, MI Fedex location in attempt to speak with someone - every manager was gone at 2 pm on Saturday during normal business hrs!!!

Paid to have this delivered on Fri.-they couldnt find street (a commercial address). Sat. the business was closed- they tried anyway-dumb. Maybe it will be delivered Mon. - not holding breath. Incompetent at best. $30 wasted. USPS looks better all the time.

WORST DELIVERY EVER. Fedex always delivers to the wrong house, and I even used the "Customized Delivery Instructions" button on the tracking website and described EVERY detail of my house, but somehow, my package was at a house A BLOCK DOWN.

I have been on hold with customer support going on 52 minutes trying to pickup a package they failed to deliver today. Useless. FedEx is awful. I have never had any trouble with UPS or DHL why cant FedEx catch on.

Fedex sucks! A package should be delivered 3 days ago but have not got it yet. However, the tracking info shows it has been delivered.... called customer service said the package was still at the warehouse....

If I could, Id leave no stars. Awful service. The drivers cant figure out a simple residential delivery. Telephone support seems useless. If you have a choice, avoid FedEx.
