This group of guys are great....until they work on your car. I had a 2007 Jeep Commander in for service on 1/9/2016, for a tune up, brake system flush and fill, coolant flush and fill, and injector cleaning service. After taking 2 hours longer than estimated 6 hours total, with no call. I finally called them. "Oh yeah, Mr. Moore, I was just going to call you" Its ready. $500+ later, I took the car home to change the oil, not more than (6 miles). I typically do my own maintenance on my vehicles, I just havent had the time. When I popped the hood, there was no evident signs of the spark plug coils being touched, still had dirt and grime on them, no wrench or socket marks on the coil bolts. there was still an acorn wedge against one of the coils. So to me this threw up a red flag. I grabbed one of the coils to see how easy the grime came off. It instantly showed signs of being disturbed (the dirt came right off and I left a clean mark on the coil top). Seeing this, I decided to take one of the plugs out. The plug was not a new plug, it had signs of tarnish or rust like wear. I snapped a couple pictures and reinstalled the plug. Seeing this I decided to check my brake fluid, again the top cap to the brake fluid did not appear to be handled in anyway. I took a turkey baster and sucked out some of the fluid. It was a deep brown color and looked the same as it was when I change the rear brakes on it in mid November. Again I took a photo and replaced the cap. I tried calling them back that day, but they had closed for the day already. I took it back to the shop first thing Monday morning, only to be told they had done the work, could not product my old plugs for proof and the mechanic when asked if he did a brake service on my Jeep by the manager "replied "Im not sure" at first, but after me complaining to them for 10 mins, decided that he did remember doing one "all of a sudden" and that the color of old fried chicken oil was the color it was suppose to be and that was in fact perfect and new brake fluid. I realized that I would get no where with these guys and decided to cut my losses. I wished them a good day and left. I drove the car over to Tuffy and had them do the brake service right and tune up right. My brake fluid is nice and clear looking now and my plugs are for sure new and look nothing like the old ones that SCC claimed that replaced. So now Ive paid double in that past few days for something I trusted SCC to do right the first time. I was really hoping to have a trust worthy car care shop that was local and owned by people I can trust. Sometimes going to a mom and pop shop is not the right thing to do. Im not saying "Dont go to SCC".....All I can do is tell you my story and hope that you are better educated from it.

Took my vehicle in 2 days ago for a front end alignment after installing new suspension components. If you research what should be included in an alignment one finds it involves adjustment of camber, castor and toe in / toe out. After waiting about 1 hour, was told vehicle was finished. Upon being handed the computer print out, was told the only adjustment made was toe in /out and the other adjustments that were out of specifications (camber and caster) would be an extra 50-200 to complete what was only 1/3 of a real alignment. Needless to say, I took the vehicle to amother local repair shop and found out that even thought they supposedly set toe in and out, they were still out of spec. Had second shop do an alignment and came away with all 3 parts a an alignment completed and within specification. I will never use this repair shop again. It was the first time and will be the last time. Stay away and save your money. Always ask whats included before you decide to have them, or anyone, do the work. And be sure that it is listed on the estimate.

Went in to get my coolant flushed and a battery issue fixed as well as new brakes and tires. About 2 days later i started hearing a clunking noise in my car. The front struts were blown out and had them check it out and they told me it would cost 947 dollars to get the struts replaced for the front. That is an outrageous amount of money to pay anyone to fix just the struts. So i ordered them off of amazon which also came with rear shocks as well for only 170 dollars. My friend fixed them and noticed that shores Auto care lost one of my bolts that goes to the knuckle to the struts and put some random bolt in its spot which is causing the clunking issue. I advise anyone reading this to never go to them because they will tamper with your car so more issues occur with your car. In turn they want you to come back so they can get more money out of you.

I went to Shores Car Care to get an oil change and have them check my air conditioner, after seeing the positive reviews on a website. I just moved here, and I drive an older Cadillac that I take good care of so its important to me to find mechanics I trust. They treated me and my car great; everyone was friendly and professional. They took the time to let me know everything that was going on with my vehicle; and got the work done at a very fair price. It was really comfortable in the awesome waiting room, too, I have to say. Everyone knows it not a favorite place to be waiting on your car but this place makes it pretty nice with a big screen t.v. and comfy chairs! Im glad I found a good place to take my car when I need to and I will definitely be back!

took my car in..was charged 400 for an o2 sensor and told I need 700 dollars more work or it wouldnt run right. I did the maintenance they said needed done but it didnt need it. it was a 30 dollar coil that they said was good. also the ck engine light is still on and auto zone checked the code...its the 400 dollar o2 sensor they put in! also told me my serpentine belt was bad and all cracked..belt is perfect..was replaced last year..said my valve cover is leaking bad...not a drop of oil anywhere..said my spark plugs were bad just because I didnt buy the ngk ones for 3 times the price and went with the champions..american made...wouldnt recommend them to anyone. if I could give them no stars I would.

Went in for an oil change and inspection. Wanted to charge me an extra $50 to write my inspection I was already paying for on a rasier inspection form. They knew I had to pass the inspection to drive commercially and tried to charge me over 1500 in excessive repairs. Wanted almost $300 to replace my back break pads and rotors, 1200 to replace my tie rods, $230 to replace a break cable, and that my engine was leaking oil. My mechanic is currently running through my whole car now to see how much they bullshitted to try and get out of me. UPDATE: They called me a day after I posted this trying to get me to take it down. Hilarious.
